I love the spaciousness of the property, that it looks on the street and is very light. Love the proximity to the Boardwalk (half-block) and love Baltimore Avenue, the Rodeo Drive of Rehoboth.
The communication was lacking from the start. Pros: - the location is great, you’re a block from the beach. - the condo is very spacious - beds are comfortable - there are beach chairs available in the lobby Cons: - The pool is down the block. This would’ve been okay except I sent multiple emails before we left asking for the location of the pool because we were traveling with small kids and the response I received after the 2nd email was “it’s shared with another guest” - get to the pool early chairs are limited and taken up by 9:15 - reached out 3x because the ice maker wasn’t working and was told someone would come out. No one showed, we had warm water, no ice and the filter needed to be changed. - as others mentioned the lobby is outdated and the condo is showing wear & tear (ex: the couch had tears) I could go on, but all in all I have never experienced a rental with such poor communication and unclear expectations. I highly recommend updating the listing to reflect what guests can expect and then provide a welcome packet/email or something.
We really loved this rental. Very spacious, and the inside of the unit was clean. The lobby area was less modern, but not a big deal. It would be helpful if the listing was more clear about the fact that the pool listed is actually across the street in another complex. But you can’t beat the location (1/2 a block from the beach). A little bit noisy at night because of the restaurant next door with rooftop dining.
Pros: great location, one block to beach and boardwalk, one block to shops and restaurants, very spacious, complimentary parking passes for off-street parking Cons: second floor walk-up, very noisy, not well stocked (no drinking glasses? No toilet paper beyond half roll? One trash bag?)
I stayed at the 20A Baltimore Avenue condo THREE times this year: 2 weeks in May; 1 week with my daughter in August; and now a long four-day weekend in October. So I, obviously, do love the spaciousness and location of this property. The rooms are large, light-filled and have high ceilings so you never have the feeling of being the least bit cramped into a beach condo. That said, the place is beginning to show signs of wear: the review from Marsha K just below is spot on. The entry and staircase area is more like that of a cheap motel and not a 5-star property with 5-star prices. Inside, the living room furniture is starting to be shopworn as are some aspects of the kitchen. On my last visit, the disposer didn't work, there were intermittent issues with the ice function of the fridge, and the so-called amenity package wasn't delivered by housekeeping until two full days into my four day stay, meaning I immediate had to go out and buy TP and paper towels. All of this would be workable, I guess, except for the fact that as I was beginning to plan for next summer, I saw that they have raised their rates a LOT! In high season, this is a good deal more than $1,000 a NIGHT, making it 5-star in price but just 4-stars value. So I have begun to shop around.
Our first time to Rehoboth Beach and we loved the area and this condo. Spacious, clean, a block from the boardwalk, and restaurants close by. As others have said, the lobby needs a makeover and it smells a little funny but the condo did not disappoint. Would definitely stay here again.
The condo was perfect spacious beds comfortable and bathrooms so clean and large
In the big picture, the place was fine. Good location and just what our party of 6 needed for the week. However, there were some drawbacks. First, when we walked into the staircase, it reeked like a public bathroom in a gas station. The carpet was threadbare. The beds were adequate, but the king mattress in the master suite has long passed its use-by date. Depressions on both sides of the mattress left me with a sore neck and back. $7,700+ is a lot to pay for a stinky hallway and lumpy beds. The women who work in the office were wonderful. Friendly, helpful, kind.
We loved our stay on Baltimore Avenue. It was a fabulous location! We had a short walk to the beach, wonderful restaurants and shopping on the avenue. The condo was clean and it made it easy that sheets and towels were included. The beds were already made when we arrived! There was a problem with the air conditioning but management was quick to come out and fix it! We will definitely come back to this location again!
We had a fantastic stay at this property. The proximity to the beach is amazing. Everything in the property was in great working order. With teens it was great because they could walk to town or walk to the beach, so everyone could decide what they wanted to do. The space is also right to a community theater so we saw a couple of musicals during the week too which was really fun. Be prepared, if you have a large group that some kids may be on sofas/sofa beds which is fine, but it is right in the middle of the open kitchen/living room space, so they will get woken up when the early bird adults make coffee. Overall very fun and a great stay.
Little noisy
We loved our room. We had 11 people and it worked out well! It could have used a powder room for the pottying. It seemed 3 people had to go when we had 2 bathrooms . That was a small problem. Everything else was fabulous for our 3 family vacation In Rehoboth
