Stayed Jun 6, 2024We really enjoyed the layout of the place, especially being able to wake up early, close the French doors to the bedroom so our daughter could sleep in, and hang out in the kitchen area. Great access and just a few minute walk to the beach or the coastal path for runs. Really cute place in a safe area.

Stayed Apr 25, 2025Wife and I wanted to have a nice getaway for just the two of us. We chose Santa Barbara primarily because of scenery and online reviews. This little VRBO was perfect for us, small studio apartment type of layout, 2 blocks from the beach, 5 minute drive or roughly 30 minute walk to funk town, pier, etc. The property was quiet, clean and perfectly located. They also provide a warning along with ear plugs due to previous complaints about a near by train. This was a very thoughtful gesture but we honestly can’t imagine how anyone would complain about the train noise, it was so negligible.100% would stay again if we return to Santa Barbara!

Stayed Dec 12, 2024We stayed 3 nights. This place looks exactly as pictured and is just a few steps from the beach. Fluffy towels and nice bedding.Kitchen could use a few more things: saucepan, ice tray, a few more dish towels and a hook to set them on. We could not turn OFF the heat-it was too warm in there for us.We were here in winter, so it was fine noise-wise. Did not hear neighbors much except when walking to their cars. But this area might get noisy in summer with all the windows open. There only 4 houses on this street and the rest are apartments or hotels.

Stayed Oct 18, 2024Loved being walking distance to the beach but out of the hustle and bustle of State St. easy to locate, enter, and get settled. Would recommend if you don’t mind shared walls with other guests.

Stayed Aug 8, 2024A little smaller then the pictures show, however, nice place. Kitchen amenities could use to be updated but all in all but delightful stay.

Stayed Jun 6, 2024We loved this place. It was great to have separation between the bedroom and the dining room. We were able to hang out in the morning and let our daughter sleep in. The location was great - just a few minutes and you’re at the beach. There’s great running paths too. Safe and a perfect fit for a family of three. We also enjoyed hanging out on the back deck.

Stayed May 10, 2024We were very worried about our stay given the poor reviews regarding noise but we experienced none of that. The location of this gem is perfect and met all of our needs. The only change I would request is a better set of pots and pans as the ones in the unit are old with flaking teflon. That can’t be good to cook in. A broom to sweep sand off the floor would also be helpful. Communications and overall attention to make sure our stay was comfortable was very much appreciated. It was truly a joy to stay in and the location for us was perfect! We will definitely return.

Stayed Apr 9, 2024We were in town for a wedding and had our 4 year old daughter with us. This spot was the perfect alternative to a hotel room where we would all be in bed at the same time. Here, we had the affordability of a hotel but with the extra kitchenette space so that parents could stay up later + the extra daybed so that we all had our own space to sleep. This fit our needs to a tee.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We’ve stayed at this property several times and the location is just perfect. Walkable to the beach, restaurants and a local market. We like this unit in particular because the shared deck and bbqs are just outside the front door and the space feels very open. Having the attached kitchen is also a huge bonus. The room is clean and attractive. Be sure to keep in mind It’s a historic building, not the Hilton-so plan your expectations accordingly-there’s no a/c (and you don’t typically need it) and it’s quirky but it has everything you need. There’s a coffee maker, stove, toaster oven, mini fridge, dishes, pans etc. And it’s wonderful to have off street parking!
