Close to NYC in Historic Brownstone

This was a great place to stay on our trip to NYC. The path train station is a short walk away. We were near restaurants in Jersey City. The neighborhood was safe. We walked late at night a few times. It also is near Newark, which was an easy Uber ride. The place is stocked with everything you'll need. We cooked most nights. They have pots, pans, dishes, utensils, etc. There was even some storage containers which helped us out storing fresh fruits and veggies. They provide body wash, shampoo, conditioner, dishwasher pods, laundry soap, hand soap, dish soap, etc. We literally had everything we needed, just like at home. They have reusable shopping bags for grocery pickups. The beds were comfy. There were plenty of towels for our family of 5. We were intimidated by the murphy bed at first, but it was easy to pull up and down. There's a dog park across the street, which ended up waking us up most mornings. We used a sound machine app to block that noise. Most mornings we were up early anyhow, but something to consider. If you aren't used to city noise (traffic, sirens, etc), you'll need some noise to buffer that. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend for families! We traveled with three teens/preteens.

This unit provided a great location of our NYC vacation. The property description matched the conditions with a clean room, functional kitchen, and a nice deck to sit out back to enjoy a morning coffee or afternoon drink. The only minor item for us was getting used to the urban noise, including the neighborhood dog park across the street in the park, and the upstairs neighbor’s daughter running early in the morning and late at night. Just make sure to pack some ear plugs to help mitigate the noise. Again, a prime location with easy transit options to get to and from NYC via the PATH.

Perfect location easy walk to restaurants and grocery stores. Path Train Station just a short walk from property, very convenient for trips into Manhattan. The apartment is very clean, bed was very comfortable and the kitchen had all utensils needed for cooking meals. Hosts were quick to respond when we had a question.

The location is fantastic, just 4 minutes away from the subway, and from there, 2 stations and you are at the World Trade Center in lower Manhattan. Amazing. The apartment is super beautiful and very well equipped, bathrooms and kitchen are upscale and very new, really great. I would use this place for every visit to NYC in the future, and I already recommended it to family and some friends. The neighborhood is super safe, full of families, mothers with small children walking on the streets, we felt totally safe with our 3 teenage daughters walking around day or evening. The host is very nice too. We had a great experience.

Absolutely loved our stay here! Great location. Easy to get to the PATH train. Best bagel joint around the corner. Beds were comfy. Very clean. Stocked up on essentials like towels, paper towels, trash bags and toilet paper. We will stay here again if we make another NYC trip. Helpful owners with quick responses to any questions. Absolutely fantastic VRBO! I highly recommend staying here and would stay again. The hosts were very responsive, home is as advertised, and the location was perfect. The proximity to the Path made it super easy to get into Manhattan and you are also a short drive away from Liberty State Park. The hosts masterfully renovated this home and the attention to detail is stunning. Book this place!

Overall, this place is exactly what we were looking for! We were staying for a concert at Metlife and also to explore NYC for a few days. The location has easy access to PATH with a short walk, and was a great respite away from the city. The apartment itself was beautiful, super clean, and cozy. My only complaint is the barking dogs right outside the master bedroom window early in the mornings. I knew this was in a neighorhood and expected some noise, but I wasn't expecting to be woken up at 6am everyday on my vacation by incessant barking. Other than that, this place was perfect!

It was a perfect place for us. My wife and I flew in after a five-week holiday in South America, and met our son and his wife here, who flew down from Toronto. The two separate bedrooms and two bathrooms offered togetherness and comfort, but also privacy. The location is unbeatable, only a short walk away from the PATH train to Manhattan and its attractions. There is an endless selection of restaurants and bars within walking distance, and so are pharmacies and grocery stores. The area felt completely safe at all times of the day.Inside, perfectly equipped. Fluffy towels, loads of pots and pans, good aircon, hot shower ... everything one can expect, and more. The terrace was a great place to have a conversation and a drink before and after dinner.In short, it was as good as any holiday rental could be!

Outstanding property and experience. Beautiful, comfortable and enchanting. Very comfortable beds and gorgeous bathrooms. Many lovely places to eat in walking distance. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Statue of Liberty via Liberty State Park in NJ. Enjoyed family time playing the board game Sorry that was available at the property. Highly recommend!!!

This is an amazing property that is well located away from the hustle and noise of NYC but it’s just a short train ride away. It is a beautiful, historic apartment that we loved.

We stayed here for a month, and we loved every single minute of it. Beautiful, very clean apartment. Well stocked kitchen. Three block walk to subway system. Safe, friendly neighborhood with trees, good restaurants, and everything we needed. Owners were helpful, lovely people. This was a perfect home base to fulfill my NYC bucket list. Highly recommend!

My family and I were thrilled with our apartment and all its features. Our hostess was very accommodating and assisted us with all our questions as they arose. The ease of the trains across to Manhattan was brilliant. The local shops were fantastic and food fresh and delicious . We had a wonderful stay.

Beautiful apartment with room to spread out a bit. Quick and easy walk to the Grove St PATH station to get into and out of the city. We enjoyed returning to Jersey City for a more relaxing dinner a couple of nights during our stay.

This was possible my best rental experience I have ever had. Great neighborhood - property was beyond our expectations - and the owners were very friendly and easy to communicate with. Very easy to get to the city (30 minutes) and the subway was only 4 blocks away.

Beautiful home with all needed amenities. Perfect for a family gathering or girl’s trip. Easy to get to great restaurants and bars. Takes a minute to get into NYC but not difficult.

Our stay at this historic brownstone was wonderful. It is easy walking distance to coffee shops, restaurants, the Path... pretty much anything you needed/wanted was within reach. The street is a bit busy and there's a dog park across the street with some early noise but we were up and out early most mornings anyway.

Your home is beautiful! Easy to get to from EWR. Great location to get the train to NYC. Lots of stairs for dragging a 50 lb suitcase!

We had a wonderful few days staying at the property. It was exactly as described in the listing and very convenient for the PATH into New York. The beds were very comfortable and the whole apartment very well equipped. Kristina was quick to respond with any questions and she allowed us an early check-in which was much appreciated. We will definitely stay here again.

This Jersey City home was such a treat to arrive to after a long day of flying coast to coast, especially with the proximity of its location to Newark Liberty Airport. We arrived with my elderly parents and my 10 year old twins in tow so I was grateful to see that this brownstone was very spacious, clean, comfortable and nestled away in a safe neighborhood. The space between rooms is ample, even with the Murphy bed in the living room. It is equipped and supplied with all the basic things you need to function in all rooms. Everything you need for groceries, pharmaceuticals, beauty/hygiene and dining is all within 2-15 mins walking distance. The apartment has a cart and reusable bags available for any shopping trips you may need to make. We never had any issues getting anything we needed, the neighborhoods were all great to walk through morning, afternoon and evening. My elderly parents and young twins easily accessed the PATH within 8-10 minutes. After long days in NYC we always enjoyed coming back to the low key neighborhood to enjoy Van Vorst Park with our kids. We were able to get to Liberty State Park and enjoy the many sights and things to do there within 8-10 minutes by Uber or Lyft. We are more than pleased to have called this our temporary home for 8 days and 7 nights. We can’t say enough about the peace of mind we had knowing we were in a safe neighborhood in a secure building and unit. We will definitely stay here again if our travels bring us back!

This is a stunning home. The architectural details are beautiful. The hosts added touches were very much appreciated. Easy walk to car park, and ferry to New York. A wonderful find.

Is it as cozy and elegant as it looks in the pictures? Yes, definitely. But isn't it worn out? No, not at all. And it has everything, really everything you need: save space in your suitcase because the washing machine and dryer are of very good quality. A large fridge with a large freezer compartment, stove, oven, microwave and a dishwasher make preparing meals easy. And the PATH line ride to NYC is no longer than a subway ride there. We were traveling with a child and never felt unsafe; the trains are also used by many commuters. Would we book the apartment again? Anytime. Definitely 10 out of 10 points!
