Memphis, Tennessee
Shady backyard, relaxing patio, restful bed, bath & kitchenette. Standing desk or kitchen counter makes great workspace with limitless supply of local organic coffee & strong WiFi.
We built the house a few years ago to grow our family airbnb business & love that it’s located 1 block from the Broad Ave Arts District & a few minutes drive from Overton Square. Your parking spot is next to the apartment down our long driveway, plenty of space for multiple vehicles or a moving truck.
This apartment is in back of a house, also rented on Airbnb. There may be other guests on site during your stay but your apartment is only accessible to you.
Your stay provides a living wage for a refugee family who lives in the neighborhood and provides the housecleaning. Also, we donate a percentage of the profit from your stay to nonprofits that connect people in need with temporary housing. Thank you for staying with us!
There will be a $15 pet fee per stay for extra cleanup often required. This is in addition to the regular rate and will go through Airbnb. There is an additional $15 fee for over to pets that can be paid through the app.
We are located right near an elementary school. Please be careful when coming & going in the morning and afternoon :-)
We provide local, organic coffee as well as granola bars for snacks or a quick breakfast.
While our cancellation policy is set as strict, reach out to us if plans change. We usually are able to provide a full refund if someone else books our place after you cancel.
The following does NOT apply to reservations made on Airbnb (who has their own vetting & resolution process). For all other booking platforms, guests are required to complete our pre-arrival process including a photo of a valid ID, signing our rental conditions, and submitting a valid credit or debit card to be pre-approved for a security deposit (card will not be charged just authorized in case of damage or rule violation). This process needs to be completed before check-in.
If you need anything, you’re right down the street from the host’s home (check out 3000+ 5-star reviews). We are more than happy to answer questions or offer help if you need it. Just text or call and we'll either come by or if our family is out of town when you are there, a neighbor will be available as well.
We live right down the street, available if you need us.
5 min to the zoo & 10 to Downtown.
We hope you thoroughly enjoy our wonderfully diverse & transitional neighborhood. It’s our favorite part of Memphis, a beautiful example of poverty and affluence living side by side. You might meet some of our International Community, see urban gardens, colorful artwork, and eccentric neighbors. We're a short drive (or a long walk) from one of the best zoos in the nation, Overton Park (with walking/running trails, dog park, playgrounds & more).
Broad Ave arts district is across Sam Cooper and an easy walk. City & State is great for coffee and gifts, Wiseacre for craft beers, Broadway Pizza, & Bounty for a nice dinner out and lots more.
This apartment has an outside door for access (from the driveway). Feel free to spend time on our patio & backyard (front porch is inaccessible). Parking is available in the driveway next to the entrance.
Comfy queen bed (medium memory foam), WiFi & Smart TV, large closet, small refrigerator and freezer, toaster oven, microwave, coffee maker (with local organic coffee) and breakfast snacks. Fantastic shower & bath as well as a work space. Also, animal-friendly ($15 fee). Foldaway memory foam bed available for extra guests.
Connected to the back of a house (for rent separately)—you have exclusive use of the apartment, totally private & quiet. We use hospital-grade filters for heating & air that capture any bacteria and viruses so no cross-contamination is possible.
The studio is right off Sam Cooper (connects with I-40) & near Poplar ave, the main thoroughfare through Memphis. Bus stops are close by on Poplar/Collins or Summer/Bingham (check online Maps for transit directions). Uber is also a great option for travel in Memphis.
Very well thought out and comfortable and cozy. Easy to find and just like pictures!! So many great places to visit in surrounding area. Our hosts even suggested one of the best places for breakfast-we definitely will make plans to stay again soon!! You should too!
This property was pretty spacious and clean with lots of privacy. Although the back yard was not fully fenced as I thought it would be, my dogs loved it. My only complaint was that the bed mattress was very old and uncomfortable. We only stayed for one night but it was a good deal for the price.
This apartment is situated in the back of another VRBO location (a house). There was another family using the house at the same time we were in the apartment, but there is plenty of room for both! Each has their own parking. The apartment was easy to access, very clean, the hosts were great and the location is perfect! We plan to come back! Highly recommend.
We would definitely stay here again! Inside was clean and fresh, lots of attention to detail. Open shady outdoor area was nice but needed a bit of TLC. Non-chain coffee shop, restaurant and dog-friendly brewery all within walking distance.
Property was as described. Just a short walking distance to some great restaurants and shops. Easy access to downtown.
Very clean and nice.
Had a good stay! Convenient check in, comfortable bed, nice shower and amenities! Recommended!
The property was just as described and worked out well for me and my small dog. There was a hiccup with check-in, but Jamey got back to me very quickly and sorted it out. Nice experience overall.
After driving 10 hours, I reach Memphis and this property after 6pm on a Friday evening. Realizing I had not received the code to enter the house (although I did have a confirmed reservation and an earlier message exchange with host), I call to get it and instead find out -- OOPS, double-booked. Sorry, no place for you tonight. So my 60-lb dog and I (who were both equally tired and hungry) had to scramble to find a suitable, large dog-friendly place with no notice. Host blames VRBO. VRBO kept me on hold for 45 minutes providing no actual help that evening. I found a hotel on my own and will be seeking monetary compensation for what was clearly a disaster of an evening. Second stay in a row through VRBO that has had significant booking issues. Be wary.
Nice getaway and is walking distance from some good spots
We stayed here for the St. Jude Marathon. It was reasonably close to the race start and finish; about 4 miles. The rental has one bedroom and a small kitchen. Everything was nice and clean. We would stay again.
The property management is very quick, communicative and helpful! Best communication I’ve had on VRBO. This property was in just the right location for a short visit to Memphis with my daughter and dog. The place was super clean! The fenced backyard space was great for my dog to explore off leash but still accompanied. The kitchenette was supplied with good coffee. The water temp and pressure in the shower was good. The bed and pull out cot, linens were comfortable. The property has just the right amenities for a short stay with your furry friend.
The property was easy to find. It was clean. The sound machine was a bonus!
Clean place, quiet
Cute little apartment that was perfect for my husband, dog and me! Love that the host left us ideas for us to explore close by.
We weren’t at the studio much but it was a perfect spot for us and our dogs! Awesome shaded yard! nice and cool inside with the concrete flooring and had all the things you need! Highly reccommend
Nice spot to stay. Very walkable,
Place was easily accessible, pictures were accurate. Location is in a good neighborhood close to many trendy restaurants.
We stayed here for three nights. Location was good for everything we wanted to do, It is about 15 minutes to Beale Street and very close to the Zoo. The hosts had great communication. The place had everything we needed for our stay. Parking was in the driveway and not an issue with the other people staying on the property. The floor is concrete and a little chilly on the feet. Putting a big area rug on the floor again, like the one in your pictures, would be helpful. One other thing to note is that the bed is low to the ground. I am in my 60's and have back issues, so it was a little hard for me to get out of. Probably not an issue for most people, but wanted to make others like me aware of it.
