Beautifully appointed and walkable shopping. Excellent choice for us. Had a little difficulty on the two flights of stairs though. But if you are up for that, it will not disappoint.
This was the perfect retreat for our weekend trip to Georgetown! Everything was new, clean and every amenity was just perfect! Many special touches as well! You will not be disappointed with this rental. We will be back to stay again, thank you!
Overall, my stay was enjoyable, especially getting to sit at the windows, looking down on Main Street, and watching the Christmas parade without having to be in the crowd. Several reviews commented on noise from the courthouse bell tower and traffic. Only once during my three-night stay was I awakened by anything. That happened to be emergency vehicles from the fire station around the corner. I went right back to sleep in the comfortable bed, though. Other reviewers have commented on the creaky floorboards. I found them to be reminiscent of my grandmother’s old farmhouse; not bothersome at all. I also couldn’t have asked for any warmer welcome from the property host. The very minor critique of the property is not anything the property owner can control, which is parking at the door. Arrive before 7:30 PM and you’ll have to park behind the building, which means a further distance to carry your belongings in and up to the third floor (stairs, no elevator). This wasn’t a big deal for me but could be for others. I will definitely consider staying at this location again.
This is a great location just outside of Lexington within walking distance to a few restaurants and quaint shops. The place is perfect for a couple and has everything needed for an enjoyable stay!
Great location, in an historic downtown Georgetown. Walkable to restaurants, shops and the downstairs bakery is wonderful. Great host, good communication and very lovely unit.
Cute place! Very clean and had everything we needed! Bed was a little hard but both my husband and I have bad backs, so there’s that. We brought a noise machine to cut down on the noise from the street and it worked perfectly! Love the area! Fava’s was the best place to eat!
Located in the center of everything we wanted to visit in the area. Convenient for shopping and food. Short drive to the Ark and multiple horse farms. We visited a few of the restaurants and bakeries that we were able to walk to. Great place would stay again. Only negative is the noise from sirens and cars from the street and you will hear the clock chime every hour from the courthouse, but a sound machine helps. Not very sound proof but that’s probably because it’s an older building.
Very unique quaint studio right in downtown Georgetown. It’s on the 3 floors so be in shape for stairs no elevator. We really enjoyed the location right in the heart of downtown. Only a few complaints floors very squeaky, so in the middle of the night i would wake my husband going to the bathroom & the street was loud at night sirens every nice it’s just down the street from the ambulance. We live in the middle of no where so we are use to quiet. Next stay I hope to get the 2nd floor apartment that is the back of the building so would be quiter. But those are my dislikes someone else might not mind that.
This charming 3rd floor loft was more than we hoped for. We loved being secluded upstairs but also being able to observe the world in this quaint little town. Wonderful restaurants were within walking distance along with bakeries and candy stores. Yes, there were 2 flights of stairs, but even 3 months after knee replacement, it was worth it to get to that lovely respite. And did I mention that the bed was so comfortable with wonderful sheets? At 73 and 74, both my husband and I consider a comfortable bed to be one of our most important parts of our stay. You will not regret staying here.
This property had great location for the activities we were interested in, (Kentucky Horse Park and Claiborne farm). We enjoyed exploring Georgetown and the shops on foot in our spare time. Fun location among the shops on the main street. Great atmosphere.
Great place to stay, was located close to KHP and Claiborne farm, Charming location among the shops. We had a great time staying in Georgetown.
We found our accommodation roomy and well appointed. We wanted an historic location to better appreciate Georgetown where our greatgrandmother grew to adulthood. We had great space to spread out and even the option for laundry, which we did not yet need. Restaurants were close by and parking plentiful, although we needed to move the car during the day due to regulations. We highly recommend unless climbing 2 long flights of stairs would be a problem.
Wonderful stay . I highly recommend
Our third year staying at this property. Will be booking again for 2023!
I enjoyed a delightful stay at the Chic Main Street Retreat. The location was perfect for being able to park your car and not need it to get to the shops and restaurants in Georgetown. The studio/loft space itself is thoughtfully and beautifully appointed, and oh so comfortable! Communication between the owner and me was great and clear. The location also offers an easy commute to the Kentucky Horse Park, as well as many other places in the Lexington area. I hope to get back to the area soon, and I’d definitely stay at this lovely loft again. Please note, the space is third floor, and you access via stairs, which may be a consideration for some. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
Location is around 20 minutes north of Lexington. The unit was extremely clean and very comfortable to stay in. Very spacious for a couple Ample parking smack dab in the beautiful downtown area. The owner emailed me all the instructions beforehand a few times and made my late check in time go flawless. Pure confidence on coming back when I’m in the area again. Thank you.
Loved my stay. Great studio with all the amenities. Perfect home away from home.
What a great stay! Easy access, very responsive team. We had a wonderful visit, the space was clean and well organized. All the essentials you want and it was a great main street community. We walked to dinner both nights. Thanks for sharing.
It was our first time staying in Georgetown, and we loved it! Friendly people, coffee, lunch and dinner only steps away and the loft was very comfortable. We would definitely stay again!
We were in town for the Kentucky 3-Day event. This place couldn’t have been more convenient. Very clean, with comfortable accommodations on quaint street with neat shops. Communication leading up to check in was top notch. Would definitely stay again!
Some places just warmly welcome you the minute you walk in - they almost glow with comfort. Layout, textures, colors and features all seem to harmonize instantly relaxing you. This historic studio provides that and more. Yes, there are steps (2 separate flights - not bad at all unless you have an impairment), the floors slant and random floor boards may shorten the lifespan of a sock. These things are all minor and somewhat necessary to the historic nature and aged comfort that the place provides. Centrally located for daytrips to many great destinations - antiques (try unique Fleur de Flea - Louisville), Mammoth Cave, Bourbon and Horse Farms of course. Enjoy a bit of Kentucky gentility while staying in comfort and style.
