Chic, Cozy home, by Blue Line Train Stop + Free parking

The property is small, okay for one person stay, not four. The area is nice and quiet. Top neighbors walking and stomping frequently was annoying specially at night. The host was very rude. The first day of our arrival he opened the door of the apartment when he said I didn't answer his call or messages. He knocked very hard on the back door. My daughter and I were taking a nap after a long flight. When a opened he was questioning me why I didn't answer his message or call as he walk inside the apartment, which is unappropiate. He was very weird and rude. He even called me asking if I could come over so can give him the sheets I used cause he needed to wash them for the next guest who was to check in at 11am, by the we were checking at that same time. By the way, amenities aren't as described when booked. It was terrible experience.

I just needed a home base and place to sleep, so I didn’t use the kitchen or any of the other amenities. It was very clean and’s w best and the bed was comfortable. The noise of the L might bother some but I’d just gotten off a 52 hr train ride. It sounded like I was still on the train so no bother. I was disturbed by the noise of the people overhead when I was desperately trying to sleep before my early departure, but I doubt my hosts have any control over that.

It is clean and very basic. Up a flight of rickety outdoor stairs. No blackout blinds or curtains so very bright at night and next to highway and train so very noisy. But if you don't care about any of these things its a good value for the money.

The plus side- good for the money, good location, cleanNot plus side- outdoor stair was very icy and only 1/3 of each step was clear. I was recovering form an ankle injury and there wasn't enough non-icy surface for my casted foot to step on. the toilet didn't flush on two inopportune times. and the TV screen didn't work one night.

The location was perfect for us. The rooms were basic, but clean and functional. Probably wouldn’t call it chic, but definitely cozy. I will recommend it to others

Exactly as described. Be sure to read the entry instructions before you walk up to the building as the entrance is on the left side. Small, but when you need a place in the area it's perfect.

Nice place in a fun part of town. Being able to walk to the L was a godsend, we took it everywhere. This is a good space for a couple. Maybe bring an eye mask if you need to sleep in a very dark room, the curtains don't do a whole lot.

Good stay. No issues. Easy parking. Private entrance.

My partner and I spent just a couple days here, and it worked out well. It is quite small, but it's great for two people. We only used it as as a place to relax and sleep at the end of the day as we spent most of our time elsewhere in town for restaurants and events. Being near the Blue Line and several major bus routes was helpful for that.

Great place to stay!

This stay was very easy and nice! The place was clean and helpfully labeled. It's very well-located, with an easy walk to the L or to buses. It was air conditioned, which was very appreciated in the heat wave we stayed in Chicago during. The one problem we ran into was that the place was advertised as having two beds. It turned out the couch in the main room was not a pull-out bed, but rather a sort of lounging couch that was very comfortable to sit on but didn't provide a flat place to sleep. My friend and I ended up sharing the bed instead. We didn't mind, but be aware this place only really has one bed. The host was very polite and communicative, and was able to answer any questions or problems we had very promptly. Overall, it was a great pick for a stay, but could use a slightly more accurate listing re: number of beds!

This is a nice, modern one bedroom apartment in a great neighborhood with many shops and restaurants in walking distance. Very convenient to the Blue. Suitable for one person or a couple.

The place was clean and in a great location with parking. We reserved for 3 people thinking there was a queen bed and a futon, but there was only a reclining couch for the third person to sleep on. We also only had two towels. The snacks and small touches were great! I would stay here again, but it really is only set up for two people.

Perfect for a couple. Compact but has everything that a couple needs. Initial mix up due to scheduling problem but the owner showed up personally and resolved the matter. On-street parking was easy and unit was close to my desired amenities. I would stay there again.

This location was Excellent: close to both the train and bus lines. A car was not needed. Although the apartment is small it will easily accommodate 1-3 adults comfortably. Several local eateries are also within walking distance.

The communication with the owner, cleanliness, amenities, and distance from the blue line station made for a phenomenal visit to Chicago and we would love to visit again.

This property is very clean and very cozy. The location is great, except at night, I was able to hear the train and highway traffic. My husband wasn't bothered at all. We still liked it and suited our needs. The amenities were excellent. There's plenty of parking.

Just as described and fit our needs perfectly. Super clean

The unit was clean and pleasant, however, a few extras would improve the overall experience. 1. A small table by the bed, similar to the one that is by the stove, needed for glasses , phone etc. 2. At least two luggage racks. There is nowhere except the floor or the furniture to put your luggage. 3. Since the shower controls are reversed, it would be very helpful to have them marked hot and cold in addition to the arrows already there indicating direction you should turn them. 4. Free parking should be changed to say free street parking. There is no on-site parking.

Everything was just as described in Vrbo! Parking was very easy to find - very unusual in the city, easy to get around with the blue line being so close. The unit was nice and clean and very well stocked. I would definitely stay here again.

Good space for 2 people, kitchen has plenty of cooking utensils and even some seasonings, bathroom doesnt have hardly any heating in it tho and its difficult to maneuver because its such a small space. But the water gets really hot. Only 2 large towels are provided so I definitely suggest bringing more if you feel like you need too. Owner is very kind, and considerate and I would definitely rent again

I'd stay again, it was nice. Only issue was the upstairs neighbor must have been doing remodeling because the entire day was filled with hammers, drills, stomping etc. But all in all I enjoyed it.

Upon arriving we couldn’t find a parking spot.So we parked THREE blocks away,which wasn’t delightful unloading our bags from our car, and that wasn’t just this time.Every time we came back to the apartment we couldn’t find parking other than 2/3 blocks away. Although that was after 5 pm.We did notice during work hours 9-5 there was more parking but only one or two spots at which many people parked a big distance between each other so fitting in a mid size suv wasn’t going to happen.When we walked in the apartment we noticed the bathroom,living room and bedroom windows were unlocked and open along with the back door was unlocked.The ad specially noted these things needed to be locked and shut,so I assumed we should enter the place as it asks.We had over 9 hours Of driving so we decided to stay in the first night,we turned on the tv to notice everything was in Spanish.I finally figured it out but what a mess.We sat down on the couch and the left side didn’t recline/work properly(it has buttons)and it had food in the cracks.And it wasn’t comfortable at all.As we settled into bed around 10:30/11 we could hear the upstairs neighbors pretty loudly walking around and not only then, in the mornings too.It might not be a big deal but the bedroom had no door.The check in time is later than most/normal and the check out time is a bit earlier than most as well. Upon entering the bathroom we noticed the toilet was filthy.(we have pics)and the shower too. Bedroom was too hot even w fan .

The house & the apartment were very clean & cute. Neighborhood was nice & felt safe. My only complaints were that we would’ve liked more than 2 bath towels for two people for 3 days. Also, it was very warm in the apartment (no air conditioning), but who could’ve known it would be 80 degrees in mid-October. Thank goodness there was one fan provided.

This house is in a quiet neighborhood with a private entrance and easy access to trains. Perfect for a trip for concerts or downtown exploring without the traffic.

We had a wonderful stay at this house. It was clean, cozy, and well-equipped, with everything we needed in the kitchen and bathroom. The hosts, Jason and Anne, were incredibly kind and helpful, making our stay even more special. The location is particularly convenient: downtown Chicago is easily accessible by metro in about 20-25 minutes, and O'Hare Airport is just 10 minutes away. Despite the proximity to the highway and the metro, the house is very quiet. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended!

I booked this stay for the price, it was one of the more affordable options in the area and the location was pretty central. The neighborhood was pretty nice but finding close parking was difficult in the evenings. The place was clean and Jason was a really courteous and responsive host. My only thing was the photos in the listing were not totally up to date so I was suprised by the bed and couch not looking the same, but other than that the place is a nice, small stay if you’re looking for somewhere to mainly sleep while exploring the city.
