Stayed Jan 1, 1Clean, spacious, well located accommodation. Good range of appliances etc. All 3 bedrooms are a good size. The extensive informal garden is ideal for sitting out. Located down a narrow lane in easy walking distance of Moreton-in-Marsh centre. Adequate parking in front of the property. Note that properties have names but no numbers, so locating the specific house could be tricky, but I hunted it out on Google Street View before setting off. One minor limitation - there is a shower in the communal shower room. The en-suite bathroom, however, has a bath but no over-bath shower and shower screen, just a hand-held shower head. So, in effect, only one shower on the property.

Stayed Jan 1, 1We had a lovely stay at Fairfield’s. There were 6 of us staying at the property and there was more than enough space. The cottage had everything we could need during our stay and the location was excellent, central for all our exploring days out. We would definitely stay again.

Stayed Jan 1, 1We had a lovely, relaxing holiday at Fairfields. The house is in a great location with parking, literally round the corner from the main street. There is a dog walking field/children`s playground a stones throw from the house which was useful. There are several pubs and cafes serving great food in Moreton, which we made the most of, it made a relaxing base for our winter holiday. We arrived at the end of January and found the house very warm and welcoming. There are high walls to each side of the garden, it was secure for the dog. The cupboards are full with cookwear/plates/pans etc, we had to re-organise to make a space for the provisions we bought with us/dog food, etc. Sadly the mattress in the master bedroom which appeared to be new was very hard and uncomfortable, fortunately we had two other rooms to choose from with more comfortable beds, especially the twin. The house makes a great base for visiting the Cotswolds and we would definitely return and recommend to others A few easy tweaks that would improve the experience for guests - Adding a comfy mattress topper in the master bedroom, having an designated empty guest cupboard/drawer in the kitchen, putting a full length mirror in one of the bedrooms for hair drying/styling as electric devices can`t be used in the bathrooms. The garden has a nice lawned area and patio but some areas are thick with weeds.

Stayed Oct 1, 2024Very nice property for this area . Off main street so minimal traffic. 5 min walk to bus or train. Dont need a car. Tap credit card getting on bus. Get bus schedules online or at info office in Moreton. Check in a bit tricky. One of our initial inquiries was not returned. Was raining when we tried to check our luggage in and ke2.42y safe was located low down next thorny rose bush. Gardener coming every week could relocate the rosebush. !

Stayed Dec 31, 1969The property was excellent with lots of kitchen equipment, comfortable sofas and beds, and 3 toilets. The garden was large but a bit overgrown (we trimmed plants ourselves to access the path) and, although it is enclosed, it was not secure (our LabX escaped over the back wall twice). Our daughter and her partner joined us for the week, travelling by train from Birmingham. It was excellent to have a holiday cottage so near the train station and we all made use of the station by doing a walk that involved 2 train journeys (as our dog had never been on a train before). Lots of lovely pubs within walking distance; the Black Bear Inn was our favourite (cheaper pints there and lovely food), and the Tuesday market was great to visit too.
