Charming Studio Apartment near San Marco Square

The Alighieri “A” is one of the four apartments comprising the whole top floor of an historical Palazzo located in the west side of the Castello District, only a few minutes’ walk from San Marco Square.



It is a charming top-floor studio apartment accessible by elevator and from a very bright and elegant shared entrance hall giving on to the large communal terraces.



It is compact yet elegantly furnished with a modern full-optional kitchenand a luxury mosaic marble bathroom with fancy shower cabin. There are two single beds that can be also used as king size bed, on request. A library separates the bed from the sitting area where a sofa-bed can be found, while built-in cabinets offer plenty of storage space also for a long-term stay. There Wi-Fi, air-conditioning, washing machine, dishwasher, oven, fridge, electric stoves, kettle, etc.



The entire property has been completely and luxuriously refurbished in 2013: the elevator has been installed, the original Venetian Terrazzo flooring renovated, frescoes and stuccoes brought back to the ancient splendour, the spacious terrace has been equipped with table, sunshade and sun chairs.



The building is accessible by private water taxi from the airport in only 20 minutes and it takes less than 5 minutes’ walk to reach the Vaporetto/Alilaguna (ferry boat) stop San Zaccaria, thus very central.

In the surroundings there are lots of artisan and antique ateliers, local food shops and delicious osterie (traditional restaurants). Some of the cultural landmarks that can be found close by in Castello beside the well-known Arsenale and Biennale Gardens include Basilica Santi Giovanni e Paolo, Scuola di San Giorgio degli Schiavoni, Church of San Giorgio dei Greci, Campo Santa Maria Formosa, Church of San Zaccaria and many others.



The Alighieri A can also be combined with the Alighieri “B”, “C” and/or “D”, located on the same floor and more spacious. We called this combination of apartments Palazzo Alighieri: a perfect accommodation solution for groups that aim for maximum privacy or for family reunions with well-behaved children.



Additional Rules & Information



• A €400 security deposit is required by credit card at check-in for all guests, except for bookings made via Airbnb.



• Tourist Tax (€ 4 per person, per night) must be paid in cash at check-in for a maximum of 5 nights. Children aged 10–16 receive a 50% discount, while children under 10 are exempt.



• The number of guests, including children, must not exceed the apartment’s maximum occupancy stated on the apartment page



• Please inform us of your arrival time at least 4 days before check-in.



• Standard check-in is available from 14:00 to 20:00.



• Late check-in from 20:00 to 00:00 is available for an additional € 50 fee, payable in cash upon arrival.



• Check-in from 00:00 to 01:00 is available for a € 80 check-in fee, payable in cash upon arrival.



• No check-in is possible after 01:00 AM.



• Check-out time is 10:00 AM.



• Please contact us in advance if you would like to request an early luggage drop-off.



• After your booking is confirmed, you’ll receive an e-mail with our online check-in form. There, you can let us know your preferred bed setup (single or double beds). If no preference is selected, we’ll prepare the apartment according to the default setup shown on the form.



• Pets are allowed only with prior approval from the owner and require an additional fee of € 80 per stay. Please contact us before booking, as cancellations due to pet non-approval are not eligible for a refund.
