Berkeley, California
This very charming and fully furnished apartment is the upper floor of a 1906 Victorian with a semi-private 'European' side yard and is about 800sq feet in size, with two bedrooms and one bath! This apartment has lovely light and pitched ceilings on a quiet residential street.
The brand-new kitchen has a new gas stove and a new Bosch dishwasher, new glass-faced cabinets, and quartzite counters with under-mount lighting. There is a lot of storage space and counter space for food prep and appliance storage. There is a new, deep stainless steel sink. It is fully stocked with all the dishes, pots/pans/utensils you would expect, as well as a microwave, toaster oven, kettle, and coffee maker so that you can cook and entertain.
This place includes two bedrooms. The primary bedroom is very large with a queen size bed, dresser and desk, television, and a large closet. The other bedroom is much smaller and has a twin trundle bed that can be pulled out to a king and a desk. When using the smaller room with the bed in the twin orientation, there is room for a desk, but when the bed is pulled out into a king-sized bed, the desk needs to be folded away.
There is a great large room with a living room with television (Roku- bring your own subscriptions) and a dining area off the kitchen with a table that seats up to 6. The entire apartment has been recently repainted, and there are wood floors throughout the apartment!!
The bathroom has a shower over the tub and skylight.
There is a free, high-efficiency front-loading washer and gas dryer that is shared with the occupants of the lower level and accessed through the semi-private yard. The hot water is on an instantaneous hot water system. There is an A/C unit if necessary (which is rare here in Berkeley) and an air filter if you need one.
We live in the house behind the apartment.
You can walk to Berkeley Bowl (both of them), Ashby Bart, downtown Berkeley, and UC Berkeley. While many tenants who have lived here have lived here car-free, we have parked on the street for years with little to no difficulty, and there is no 'permitted' parking in the area.
This property is close to UC Berkeley campus (you could walk, 25 minutes, or bike 10 minutes) and is in a very quiet neighborhood.
