Stayed Oct 9, 2022This property is quite exceptional. It is better than the photos and the communication with the owner was first rate. The apartment is conveniently located near the main square and walking distance to the Château. The unit itself has all the needed amenities and is exceptionally large and bright.

Stayed Nov 7, 2022My friends said the apartment was perfect, very centrally located, everything one needed, and the full moon over the chateau and decent weather in November were a bonus.

Stayed Nov 14, 2022This was a perfect stay. Convenient, relaxed, a great way to reconnect with people, enjoy the centre of town and feel like were living the local life. We bought food at the market and in local shops and cooked in the apartment, went to cafes and restaurants, shopped at the local stores and it was a perfect 4 day stay. Clare was very responsive and helpful, I would recommend this location and host highly.

Stayed Jul 15, 2018I had an amazing stay at this appartment for a week. The appartment is really well maintained with new and modern amenities. It’s right at the city centre and just walking distance from almost everything! Claire was very helpful and replied instantly to all my queries as well even though I couldnt get the set top box working :) overall, i really enjoyed my stay and i’d definitely be back

Stayed Sep 4, 2017The apartment is very well situated in the city, within easy walking distance of the twice weekly public market , good restaurants, grocery stores and the Fontenbleau castle and grounds. The kitchen was small but fully outfitted with a full size refrigerator, hob and oven. The modern bathroom was appreciated and the bed comfortable. Early mornings were a bit noisy due to city services and a school a couple of blocks up the street. Parking was a bit of a challenge. Generally though a very pleasant experience. Claire was very knowledgeable and helpful and afternoons and evenings were quiet and agreeable with locals walking and chatting. A good time.

Stayed Jun 15, 2017The apartment is a half block from the center of Fontainebleau. It's a perfect location. It's small but adequate. We had 2 people. Fantastic restaurants nearby. Grocery is 1/2 block away. About 7 Pastisseries and an equal number of chocolate shops within a 2 block radius. Travel aid is 1/2 block away. Market is 3 days a week 1/2 block away. (The plaza is 1/2 block away that's why everything is the same distance). Lots of bank ATMs nearby. Quiet neighbors although neighborhood is noisy at night --we kept windows open to circulate air. No air conditioning during long heat wave but we survived. It's a short walk to the Chateau at Fontainebleau. The forest is about 1/2 mile away. The railroad station is nearby and buses run continuously til late at night. The schedule says they run every ten minutes but it seems more often than that. Bus is 2Euro. From the station, it's a 37 min ride to Paris. Train is 8 Euro or 17 round trip with all day all zone Metro pass. Only one caution: we were not told of taxes (which were minimal) or a deposit before we arrived. They requested a $400 deposit in cash. We paid the taxes (34 E for 3 weeks) but did not pay the deposit as it was not part of the original agreement. Once that confusion was resolved, we had a perfect stay and hope to return.
