Charming 2BR WATERFRONT Cottage - Perfect for a Coastal Getaway!

We absolutely loved it here and felt super comfortable from the very first moment. You created such an amazing place to stay and enjoy a vacation. We truly had a fantastic time and made some really great memories here. So… there's a very high chance you'll see us again someday

The location of the home was great. The home has a very cottage feeling, which we did love. Our boys were thrilled to be able to fish off of the dock out back. We had some issues with checking in early. We originally paid for the early check in and planned around that, only to find out that they had rented it the night before and our early check in was canceled. Thankfully, I had called for something completely different and was told about that. The manager Heidi was a great help to remedy the situation. The day of arrival we then got notification early (around noon) that the home was ready, changed our grocery pick up and headed to the house to find the cleaning lady there. Very confusing. A positive is that it was easy to communicate the mix up. During the stay there was a breaker was consistently tripping, and a handy man was sent out to fix it quickly, but even after changing the breaker it continued to happen. Surprisingly, there was construction next door that was very little distraction. The home is older and affords very little accommodations compared to other rentals we have stayed in. The water pressure is not good, so cleaning in the kitchen was a challenge. We tried our best just to use paper plates and utensils. Overall, we had a great vacation, but I am not sure we would stay at this location again. Florida Vacation Rentals were very quick with response and taking care of any issues, so as far as that we would use them again.

As a first time customer with this company, my overall experience and stay was disappointing. The condition of the home was poorly maintained and was obviously so. Anything we could touch or put our hands on were already damaged or did not function properly. There were occasions where electrical appliances shorted out and we needed to access the breaker to make adjustments. The home did not have proper air conditioning or heating and was equipped with window mounted air conditioning. Those window mounted air conditioning units had overwhelming amounts of black mold and debris inside of the vents, and so we felt very uncomfortable using them. The lighting inside the house is not sufficient, especially during the evening hours after the sun has set. This meant the evening times could not be enjoyed to the fullest because we needed to move to a location within the house with lights to just eat dinner and talk. The security of the home was lacking. All of the locks within the home were old and did not operate smoothly with the exception of the front door lock (the one that required the code). This raised concerns for my safety and my family's safety. There is a lengthy list of what was not pleasant during our time there, but there are positives. The back porch and dock area where nice and provided us with a good experience when we were out there. But that's it. Overall, the home felt outdated, neglected, and poorly/under-maintained. Not to mention the alarming amounts of damaged components within the home. This was supposed to be a wonderful experience for one of our family member's 50th birthday, but we were left disappointed from the state of the home. I leave a one-star rating not because I actually left early but would've left early if it weren't for the fact that I had already paid money for my stay and was reminded multiple times that I would not be provided a refund. I am never the person to complain or provide negative comments in efforts to get a refund or things of that nature, but this stay motivated me to at least provide honest feedback. There was just a collection and build up of many inconveniences that led me to be transparent with the host. I don't really want to list out every single thing because that would not be efficient, but I hope you understand my perspective. I doubt that the host will receive my business in the future, so this will be a first and a last time booking. I do appreciate what I have appreciated regardless of the trouble. Thank you.

Ideal location for us work it's own private dock, it's quirky and unique, you need to go round and work out what switch works what light, but it is an old building, and I would say impossible to update with central a/c and electrics ect, but if you want relaxation and fabulous views from your own sofa this is the place to be easy walk to the beach too

Nice location, House was a little old and could use some updates. Overall it was nice and we enjoyed our stay.

The cottage is adorable and speaks to a simpler time. July is of course one of the warmer months in Fl but the window unit ac's did make it comfortable at night.

Property is beautiful but the air conditioning was not so nice nor the fridge. It is very hot in this house. They should install central air. Refrigerator needed to be defrosted as the freezer did nor work. I will say i did leave items after my departure and they were kind of enough to mail me my items at my expense of course and I am very greatful. If they fix the air in this house I would stay again.

Really enjoyed our stay. House would be comfortable for four adults.
