Colchester, Vermont
Our lakefront home is a perfect base from which to explore all Vermont has to offer and a great place to kick back and enjoy the lake. We have 155' of sandy beach with a large firepit and a 150’ dock to fish from. We are just north of Burlington which has a vibrant arts and restaurant scene.
This place was amazing in the pictures, and even better in person! It was huge, with plenty of room for everyone. Two living rooms, a nice view of the lake, two bathrooms, and everything you could want. The walk down to the lake was awesome, and the hosts' instructions and guidance were perfect. I would recommend this place, and if it's available next year, I'll be looking for it!
Wonderful stay in charming VT, great lake views and access. Lovely. Easy. Fun.
Excellent location, clean, clear communication
We really enjoyed our stay at Champs camp. The house was comfortable and well stocked with most items that we could possibly need even Keurig cups which was a bonus. Laura was very nice and responsive. My only small complaint was that there was no hair dryer. The beach area could also use a little TLC as there were lots of cans around in a metal bin from previous parties. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The area was quiet and peaceful with easy access to Burlington and other areas. Would love to stay again in the summer. Thank you
Property was accurately described in the listing. Roomy and comfortable. Location must be really awesome in the summer. The street in front of the house is busy but not overly distracting. Would definitely stay here again.
Relaxing and cozy, beautiful views of the lake
House was perfect! Clean and a lot bigger then you think! Each bedroom has clean bedding. Tons of towels. There was a grill. 2 large sofas. Full complete kitchen cable and Roku plenty of parking Beach with breath taking views. Extremely quiet! Easy access Close to a lot of things. Cute little town
The property is well equipped. It has everything you need, plus a few extras. The beach is across the street abs it was busy at times, but it was a wonderful beach with chairs, dock, fire pit, private etc. the stairs were a bit steep but sturdy. A great place to stay, I would surely go back again. We did not see champ.
We really enjoyed our stay at Champ’s Camp! The house was as-advertised, clean and very thoughtfully stocked. It was great to not have to arrive and go out to buy the necessities not included, unlike other stays I’ve had. And things were included that weren’t strict necessities but we appreciated, like beach chairs and access to a canoe! The location is convenient both for beach time and for exploring Burlington and beyond. I appreciate the owner responding to a minor issue quickly, even when I was a bit frantic. This is not a criticism of the place at all, just a FYI for other renters - the road is busier than expected, and no shoulder, so crossing to the beach is something to be prepared for, especially if you have younger kids. And the beach stairs are steep. We’d love to be back again next summer!
I loved the central location and the helpfulness of the property manager. We had lots of fun at the lake with all the toys and floaties and soft sand. We were a little surprised that this wasn’t a cabin on the beach but a apartment shared by two year round tenants that didn’t seem to appreciate us invading the shared outdoor space. We also had pretty busy road separating us from the apartment and the beach with a very dangerous set of stairs that provided the access to the beach which made it so My blind mother couldn’t go to the beach because it wasn’t accessible to her so that was disappointing. But I will say that when the microwave broke it was fixed immediately which saved the day. Overall we had a great visit to Vermont and appreciated the apartment but unfortunately we won’t stay again because our family needs more space and privacy so we don’t bug other people. Thanks Laura
