Chalet Fortuna 4 Penthouse

This was our second time in Wengen, both times we rented through Wengen Apartments. The other rental agency may be fine, but I would absolutely stick with Julie at Wengen Apartments. The penthouse , besides being a beautiful apartment was spotless and well equipped. To be honest, I wasn’t sure about the modern furniture, but it was actually quite comfortable. The staff all friendly and helpful. The only thing missing was pot holders or oven mitts. Otherwise one of the best equipped kitchens we have ever rented.

This is an exceptional apartment: spacious, stylish with great views. The location is also very good.

A lovely three bedroom apartment , conveniently located to Coop and rail station. Beautiful Jungfrau mt. Views. High vaulted ceilings and fireplace , a nice addition. Spacious and beautiful. No elevator but the steps are gradual. The reclining chairs seem to be broken on balcony. Many non stick pans were scratched, requested and got one new one. Well appointed unit.

Lovely apartment, well designed throughout, with a very thorough and useful information folder supplied by the owner to help you find your way around the place. Superb views when the clouds lifted (sadly, not often during our week). Short, relatively flat walk to centre of town. Excellent communication and advice from agent Julie Doyle. Really needs a handrail down the length of the path from road to chalet - not just where there are steps.

I never wanted to leave the Fortuna Chalet. The vaulted ceilings leading to an incredible alpine view, along with the modern kitchen and 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms - our whole family felt so comfortable and woke up every morning delighted by the epic panorama surrounding us. We loved our stay and would recommend it to anyone! The owners obviously take great pride in their property and have done a wonderful job creating a welcoming, beautiful space.

We enjoyed our stay in the Fortuna. Very clean and comfortable and the view was fantastic. It’s in a nice quiet and quaint area but only a few minutes walk from groceries, restaurants, and the train station. Every morning a group of goats with their jingly bells would walk into a field visible from the balcony. Well stocked kitchen. 10/10 would stay again.

The Fortuna 4 was everything we hoped for. Beautiful balconies. Large kitchen for 2 chefs. Beds firm and comfortable. Easy, quick walk to Coop and train. Spacious laundry room in building that I wish we had taken advantage of before downsizing to a smaller apt. I am surprised a previous reviewer mentioned lack of a lift because the stairs were such that they were very easy to navigate even with luggage. Highly recommend this apt!!

We had a fantastic holiday in Wengen. It's a very special place. The views from this apartment are brilliant. The location is a short walk from the village centre so you don't hear the bars in the evening, but you are close to everything. The apartment is clean and spacious and there are two generous balconies with fantastic views. We were there in a hot spell in summer and it was easy to keep the flat cool.
