Chalet Canadian Corner is a recently built 2-bedroom holiday apartment with some of the best views in Wengen! See the stunning Lauterbrunnen Valley, waterfalls and surrounding mountains including the famous Jungfrau. Located in the family-friendly car-free village of Wengen, 500 m to the nearest supermarket, 500 m to the village train station and 550 m to the cable car, access to the mountains and ski areas is just a short walk away!



Chalet Canadian Corner has 2 bedrooms, accommodating up to 4 people in style and comfort. The master bedroom has 1 king bed, the second bedroom has 1 bunk bed and the living has a high-quality double fold-out sofa bed. All beds are European sizes. The bathroom has a walk-in shower and WC.



This apartment's modern open-concept living/dining and kitchen area is the perfect gathering place, making it easy to cook, eat, entertain and relax all in one space! The patio door leads out onto a large covered terrace and garden with outstanding mountain views close enough to touch… it is truly a must-see! The garden is a perfect place to play or build a snowman in winter! A gas barbecue grill and outdoor furniture invite you to spend pleasant summer evenings dining al fresco and taking in the clean air and breathtaking vistas.



The kitchen is fully equipped with all the items you need. With two cosy bedrooms and a modern bathroom, this apartment is a great choice for a laid-back holiday in a magnificent Alpine setting!



Heated indoor ski and boot storage is provided in the town near the train station and cable car for your convenience and is free of charge. There are 2 washing machines and 2 tumble dryers in the chalet basement shared with the apartment upstairs.

What you should know...



Although Wengen is a car-free mountain village, arriving by car is no problem. There is a large multi-storey car park at Lauterbrunnen train station, with trolleys for your luggage and lifts to the station platforms. It is just a 14-minute scenic cog train ride up to Wengen. The trains depart every 30 minutes until 9.30 pm and then hourly. Taxis are available for hire at Wengen train station if you require assistance to your chalet.



Chalet Canadian Corner is located 750 m (10 - 12 minutes walk) downhill from central Wengen and the train station. There is also a more direct route which is 550 m (7 - 9 minutes walk) but is a little steeper. And there is also Wengwald train station 600 m (6 - 8 minutes walk) downhill from the chalet.



Note that the 2nd bedroom contains a bunk bed. And there is a high-quality fold-out sofa-bed in the living room if required.

    This place has a stunning view of both the mountains and the Lauterbrunnen Valley. It is far enough away from downtown to be quiet and peaceful. The kitchen is well equipped for those who like to cook. Host is very responsive to questions and concerns. We’ve stayed here before and love this place! No need to improve anything. However, be aware it would not be appropriate for those with difficulty walking, as it’s a steep uphill half mile walk to the downtown area from the Chalet. Our group was in good shape and enjoyed the daily exercise.

    Love the serenity, sheep bells and views of mountains!There were 4 of us and it was very comfortable. We were on the covered porch most of our waking hours.Thank you so much for your hospitality!!

    Very comfortable and quiet accommodation with sensational view. Great BBQ terrace! The very helpful and English speaking owners live above and are wonderful hosts with lots of great area tips.

    You can’t beat the view – we spent the late afternoons staring at the valley from a seating area at the edge of the yard. Apartment was small but comfortable and had everything we needed. Convenient to town and the main train station, though you’ll get in a workout heading uphill. Overall we had a fantastic time in the area and this was the perfect base for our adventures.

    As a car-free village, Wengen is quiet and peaceful. At Chalet Canadian Corner, we enjoyed the magnificent view of Jungfrau and the valley, where Lauterbrunnen is located. The chalet was well-equipped, ideal for a family of 4. The washers and dryers were especially convenient for us, taking a long trip in Switzerland. Trash bags were provided, so foreign tourists did not bother to buy Swiss trash bags. Many thanks to Julie, who provided a lot of information. She always responded immediately to my e-mails before, during and after our stay. After visiting nearby villages, we love Wengen most and highly recommend Chalet Canadian Corner. Nothing.

    I don’t think there is a more fabulous view of the Lauterbrunnen Valley and the Jungfrau than from Chalet Canadian Corner. It is breathtakingly beautiful. The apartment is first class and perfect for couples who enjoy cooking their own meals. The kitchen has all the essentials for preparing a fabulous dinner after a long day in the mountains. The living area is very comfortable and leads onto a terrace with table and chairs and a BBQ grill. The king size bed has oversized pillows. The owner, Julie Doyle, is a professional property manager who lives on site and couldn’t be more helpful. I highly recommend this terrific apartment and location.

    Recently returned from a fantastic week at Canadian Corner and cannot fault it. A lovely spacious apartment with great views over Lauterbrunnen. Being only 5 minutes walk from the high street it makes the perfect location for any holiday in Wengen. The apartment was well equipped for self catering, including sharp cooks knives which is a rarity. Simply the best self catering accommodation we have ever stayed in. Can’t wait to rebook. Nothing, it was perfect.

    We’re blessed with a view of Kinder Scout from our kitchen at home in the Peak District (uk). It’s going to look a bit boring when we go home... the view from the property, garden & bedroom is ridiculous(ly breathtaking). As a rental it’s been done really well, even down to the little things like proper pans, high thread count bedding and massive down pillows, even for the kids. Who sadly often get after thought scratchy Scandinavian megastore bedding, but not here... Communication was great, Julie lives upstairs and works managing other rentals in the village, and did just the right amount of giving us our space vs checking things were ok. 10/10 The thing that gives this place its magic is also it’s challenge, maybe install a magic carpet to the train station? (So nothing)
