Stayed Dec 31, 1969We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Giustina, and we especially loved the location as it worked perfectly for us. It is centrally located on a nice quite street, yet it is just a four-minute walk to the Piazza San Michele where we had our morning coffee and tea. This was also a great starting point for our daily expeditions. Casa Giustina is neat, clean and tidy, with most of the necessities for a short stay. The bedroom is a good size, the bathroom is nice, and the living/dining/kitchen is functional. It was great being in a ground floor apartment and we also enjoyed sitting in the delightful garden. The kitchen/dining/living area is rather dark even on a sunny day and the lights are not very effective during the day or especially at night. The kitchen is very functional but needs a light over the sink and work surface. Even the light over the cooktop/stovetop is not fully functional. We did not use the washer, dishwasher, or oven, but I am sure it would be helpful. We did not use the couch as an extra bed. We did not use the A/C very much, but it was very effective when needed. The bedroom is nice, with a large Amadio/wardrobe and lots of light from the large window overlooking the garden. The bedroom A/C was very effective when needed. The bathroom is modern with a nice shower. We would certainly stay at Casa Giustina again and would recommend it due to its excellent location ideal for two people on a short visit to Lucca.

Stayed Sep 22, 2024Had booked 24 nights, left after 10. Had planned to cook some meals not possible with the equipment in the kitchen. The bed was horribly uncomfortable. Washing machine was not in working order.

Stayed May 17, 2024First and foremost, the customer service was superb. Minor things needed attention, and the staff responded immediately. The apartment is lovely, bright and in a quiet yet central location. Fully equipped with appliances, it made life away from home very convenient. The bed and pillows were the only thing that I'd say require improvement. Neither the bed nor the pull out sofa bed were very comfortable.

Stayed Sep 26, 2023Perfect for one or two people who want the experience of staying in the center if a medieval town. It’s a good value because you can eat out, but can still easily cook in the furnished kitchen if you wish. There was even olive oil and balsamic in the cabinet, which I appreciated. I loved it that I was able to go into the courtyard for coffee or wine, The apartment might seem dark, but there is good lighting if you take the time to learn the dimmer switch. There are a few minor adjustments that could be easily fixed- squeaky bathroom door, dull knives, and a washer/dryer that is difficult to use. I suggest downloading the instructions by using the make and serial number. It’s a huge plus to have a clothes washer though. You’ll want to use the heating and cooler element that we Americans are also using these days. (One review mentioned being cold, but that can be controlled.) My other recommendation is to find the Esselunga grocery store outside the wall and to visit the new visitors center. These two places will add to your experience in this lovely apartment.

Stayed Apr 27, 2023This apartment was an excellent choice for a couple with a separate bedroom, quiet facing indoor garden patio. The kitchen was completely outfitted with even an oven and a washing machine for clothes. Located on the ground floor so only a couple of steps. Spacious bathroom with all new facilities. Our son slept on sofabed in living room facing pretty quiet street but did experience some street noise from loud pedestrians, not car traffic. Cost of the room was very reasonable. Compared to anything equivalent is probably not a gre. Bedroom
