Stayed Apr 5, 2022This adorable apartment is exactly how I imagined Italy on the coast to be and was accurately represented on vrbo. Our third floor windows overlooked marina piccolo with an unobstructed view of the sea and Mt. Vesuvius. Not fancy but super charming. waterfront vibe. We loved having coffee every morning at the restaurant with seating right on the water’s edge. We didn’t do any cooking other than making coffee but it took us a minute to realize the stove needed to be plugged in to use. I didn’t ask but presumably you swap it out with the micro wave to prevent blowing a fuse. Beds are all very comfortable. I left my windows open to listen to water/waves at night. The marina starts to “wake up” around 7:30 but generally is removed from tourist chaos. That said, it is just a few minutes walk to get to the city elevator (much needed) taking you up to the restaurants and shops/nightlife. Mgmt office is right next door so that is convenient. Did day trips to Naples and Pompeii using local trains which were relatively easy to navigate.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969I loved Casa Agostino A! The best thing about it was the view - we could see the harbour, sea, coastline and the inimitable Mount Vesuvius straight through our bed/sitting room windows. We were perfectly placed for all the amenities. There was a newly installed lift. Although clean and tidy, I did feel that the kitchen could have been a little better equipped: there were only three sockets to serve four electrical appliances, and the cooker had only two rings. The beds were very comfortable. As a busy port, it could be quite noisy at night, but it was also exciting to see and hear all the ferries and cruise ships coming and going, and people out enjoying the evening at the local bars and restaurants. We felt very much part of the life there. Extremely helpful and friendly staff on hand for any of our questions and queries. As a non-Italian speaker, I found it reassuring to communicate in English with Luca and Anita, who are either very familiar with the local area, or went out of their way to give me the information I needed before I set off for Italy. Thank you!

Stayed Jul 9, 2017What a beautiful third floor apartment with amazing views. We had sweltering weather (34 +) degrees each day and the ac was awesome. Beds were very comfortable. The apartment is very clean as well. We had read that the 66 steps to the apartment was a little daunting but the addition of the elevator took care of any issues you think you'd have. The service provided by the receptionist at 73 was really good. The dinner she suggested at Donna Sophia was excellent and off the beaten path so it was it was far less crowded with great ambience. If you're worried about being away from the action by being in the port, don't be. The port at night time is nice and quiet and yet if you want to be up in the city there's an elevator / lift a short walk away that whisks you up in seconds. We rented a boat for the day from a place right below the apartment and that will be highlight of our trip as we took a self guided tour around Capri. All in all I'd strongly suggest this apartment.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We enjoyed Casa Agostino very much. It would not suit elderly or disabled people, nor parents of babies using a buggy (stroller) because of the 60+ stairs, but this was not a problem for us. Not all the rings on the cooker were functional. It took a long time to boil a kettle! An electric kettle would be a good addition, and would probably use less electricity than the old-fashioned rings. Unexpectedly we had to use the heaters (because of extreme rain we got very wet and had to dry our clothes and shoes). The heaters were mounted on the ceilings, and were not easy to use. There were no instructions, and we had to call the landlady. She was very helpful, but some written instructions would have been helpful Very helpful staff. Keep up the good work!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Casa Agostino A is a fantastic apartment with a great location. Very easy to get to from train station with a taxi (expect to pay around €20). Barbara met us upon arrival and was very helpful and accommodating during our stay. Easy access to lift up to Sorrento centre (€1 each way) and boats to Capri, Positano and Amalfi Coast across the road at port. Great restaurant downstairs... we ate there every night!
