Stayed Apr 23, 2024Nice garden level apartment on quiet street with fantastic owners. Clean and comfortable living space that included 2 bedrooms, kitchen and living room. Washer/dryer downstairs and in great condition. Nice outdoor space out back but we didn’t use it as we were gone most of the day.

Stayed Oct 24, 2022I had a terrific 1 month stay here. The apartment is clean and quiet with a nice big bedroom and well set up second bedroom/office which was well set up for remote work. I had my dog with me and so having access to the back yard plus the Carroll Garden Park a block away was fantastic. Paul and Ewa were good landlords -- available when I had questions, friendly, but not intrusive. The Cobble Hill neighborhood is lovely, full of great cafes and restaurants and close to subways that make the whole city accessible.

Stayed May 2, 2021What a fantastic way to experience Brooklyn! This lovely 2 bedroom garden apartment in Carroll Gardens was the ideal way to experience Brooklyn and NYC overall. The unit itself appears to be recently renovated/updated with a modern kitchen and bathroom - it's on a quiet low traffic street with trees surrounding you from all angles but just 2 min walk to Court Street and Smith Street for retail, dining and fun. The F and the G train are less than a block away, making city trips easy and for those with children we found 5+ different playgrounds within 5 mins of the house. The hosts are generous, polite and respectful. You won't go wrong here!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We stayed at Paul and Ewa’s place for a month with our 18 month old toddler. There are so many nice things to say about the location within Brooklyn that it’s easy to forget about the apartment itself. But I’ll get to that. Still, this is one of the cosiest Brooklyn neighbourhoods one can imagine and perfect to spend with a toddler. The playground is right outside - on the way there mom and dad can grab a coffee at the Hungry Ghost café on the corner. The indoor playground (KidVille) is also handy to have nearby for the rainy days. As it was chilly we didn’t spend any time in the apartment’s garden but it sure provides the same sense of coziness as in the public space. The kitchen is well furnished - pots and pans a plenty - and we cooked quite some meals though there’s obviously no shortage to have food delivered at your doorstep either. The pictures confirm the top notch state of the apartment. Maybe, as it is a basement unit, in winter it will be less ‘bright’ as the pictures make it seem, but this won’t be an issue in Summer :) oh and there’s floor heating which we definitely missed the day we got back in our own home! And then there’s Paul and Ewa. Warm hosts and extremely accommodating in all aspects. We are very grateful for all the advice they provided. They made this temporary home truly feel like a home.

Stayed Aug 4, 2019Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Brooklyn. The apartment was clean and comfortable and allowed us some space to rest after long days of activity. The nearby subway stops made it easy for our family of 4 (kids ages 10 & 11) to navigate NYC. Although we loved our outings in Manhattan, most evenings we found ourselves back in Carroll Gardens around dinner time. This was a highlight of our trip; walking to the multitude of restaurants and shops within minutes of the apartment. Ewa was a wonderful host.

Stayed Jun 19, 2019My wife and I stayed at the property with our two teenage children for 5 days and it was a great home-base for exploring NY and Brooklyn. The property itself is meticulously maintained and has everything you need as a home-base for an extended stay. The location in Brooklyn is very convenient with coffee shops, restaurants and everything you need half a block away (parts of it reminded us of our hometown of Portland OR). The best part was the sense of neighborhood with families on the streets and an elementary school nearby, all of which gave us and our kids insight into what it is like living in Brooklyn, which is is much better than staying in a hotel. Getting into the city was trivial, with a subway station a block away and the F-train taking you to all the major sites without having to change trains. It was so easy, that we spent one evening in the DUMBO neighborhood and had the kids ride the subway back by themselves. The hosts are great and went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of. We will definitely look to come back on our next trip.

Stayed Feb 2, 2019We stayed for a week, and could not have been happier with our visit. The apartment is cozy and well stocked with all the basics, and a perfect size for our family (2 adults + toddler). It is in a prime Carroll Gardens location close to grocery stores and restaurants and very close to the F train - perfect location! Paul and Ewa were gracious hosts - easy to get ahold of and and responded quickly to our few questions. Could not recommend their apartment more, and we can’t wait to return!

Stayed Jan 21, 2019We had a great time staying for 6 nights at Paul & Ewas unit - they helped us move in our gear for our 2 kids, and were wonderful hosts. The unit was beautiful and had everything we needed for a weeks stay with a 2 and 4 year old - including kids toys and books - and a fully stocked kitchen. The beds were very comfortable and the entire unit was beautifully done. Would recommend to anyone - one block to the F to midtown Manhattan!
