The Carriage House is the ideal home base for those that are planning to spend more time in the great outdoors, rather than indoors. This petite studio suite offers simple living with the basic amenities.
While the Carriage House was added at a later date as a residence that was separate from the farmhouse, the farm itself and main barn, dates back to the late Civil War Era. It also sits along the John Hunt Morgan Heritage Trail, the route Confederate Brigadier General Morgan took during his raid on Southern OH.
With it's rolling pastures, it will be too easy to get lost in a daydream on the back patio.
The shared walking trails offer a quiet hike through the woods.
On the other side of the woods, you'll find a small seasonal pond.
And in the evenings, the fire ring is a great place to unwind and maybe catch a glimpse of the deer that frequent the pasture on the hillside.
Enjoy stargazing The backyard offers a perfect place to view the night sky!
The Carriage House is also centrally located to everything the Hocking Hills region has to offer!

The property was so cute and perfect! Very well maintained and they made sure we had everything we needed. So much character to the property itself with amazing trails to explore and a pond to fish in! Loved it!

Floor rugs were dirty and there were bugs all over the cabin. The window at the head of our bed was broken as well as one of the porch chairs.Sofa was very uncomfortable and we couldn’t use the bed to sit since there was no headboard. The head of the bed backed up to the broken window. There was no hot water in the bathroom sink. Pictures showed the pond much closer to the cabin but it was a half mile away. TV reception bad. When the owner called to ask why we left after one night instead of the three we gave her these reasons. She just said she was sorry we did not enjoy our stay. She then said she would treat our entire stay as a complete cancellation even though we were there one n

Very Basic and for the price was not bad. I wish there was a headboard because our pillows kept slipping into the window sill. Overall it was quiet and nice but I would not stay here again. Nothing against the property it was just lackluster. Also, no blow dryers ladies! Thought this was a given since hotels provide these but alas it is not a hotel.

The host wrote me a note welcoming us to the cottage. I left them a note that things was tore and broken before we got there. They need to keep thing repaired before renting to the next people. But it was nice and quiet place.

Everything was wonderful and they provided everything we could have needed! Being able to bring our best fur-friend along made the trip so much better!!!Only thing I would suggest would be that, because cell service is so spotty and limited it would’ve been nice to have access to WiFi.

A truly special location! Very rural but close enough to everything interesting and necessary. Carriage house is so comfortable and really is cozy, close to main house but still quite private. The terrain is somewhat steep but walking paths are lovely and worth the effort. We had a wonderful visit and hope to stay again soon.

We loved the quaint comfort of this cabin! The location is centrally located to all attractions and easy to get to. The bed is super comfortable... The property is beautiful with lots of nice walking trails to explore. The only negative thing was the extremely small shower! Also, bring extra foresters if you come in the colder months!

The cabin was cozy & cute, but very small. The shower was very small, I am 5'4 105 lb and it was very tight for me. When I viewed this online it looked like the cabin sat back off the road but that was not the case it is very close to the road and if you plan on doing more than going to see the waterfalls be prepared to drive. Overall it's a great cabin for two who just need a place to lay their head

The Carriage House is a super cute gem in the Hocking Hills. We truly had everything we need, but please note that there is no wifi and I missed that detail when booking. The space is cute, clean and has a great location. Nick and Shannon provide everything you could need and the hot tub is the perfect way to end every night after hiking and sightseeing. I highly recommend this space for your visit to Hocking Hills :)

This quaint, little cabin was just what my boyfriend (now fiancé!! :-D) needed for our weekend trip to Hocking Hills. Ash Cave, Cedar Falls, and Old Man's Cave are must-sees for all visitors! The hot tub was a welcome addition to help relax after long hikes. We even had a few deer visit us while we were relaxing!

The Carriage House is in a great location to access Hocking Hills State Park, Conkles Hollow Nature Preserve, Lake Hope State Park, and the town of Nelsonville. It's just 30 minutes or a little less to Hocking Hills, which was our purpose for renting The Carriage House. It is small, so it is ideal for just 2 people. It is nicely decorated. The air conditioner was a great amenity as it was hot while my husband and I were there. It's not ideal for a stay over 2 nights as there is only a kitchenette; hotel-sized refrigerator and a hotplate to cook on. There is a small charcoal grill, but we did not use that. We also did not use the hot tub so I can't comment on that. The shower is tight - might be uncomfortable for a larger person. There are no laundry facilities. The TV had local channels which would come in sometimes, other times not. The host does provide a variety of DVD's if you wish to watch a movie. We enjoyed sitting out on the deck watching the deer. We did hike a few of the trails, which were nicely mowed and easy to navigate. This area is experiencing a drought so the water level in the fishing pond was very low. I think the price was a bit high for the size and limited cooking options, but it was the most reasonably priced for the area for the dates we were there.
