Bright Penthouse With Terrace On Via Maqueda, In The Heart Of The City

Spacious apartment with 2 large bedrooms, large living room and a wonderful terrace. After long, hot days we spent our evenings on that cool terrace with food and wine. Excellent location for visiting old Palermo and you can’t get a nicer or more helpful host than Massimo. Grazie mille!

This location, home and Massimo were one of the best experiences we have ever had with VRBO. The flat was beautiful, comfortable, usable and every detail was perfect. The location was perfect with a quick walk to almost everything including the pedestrian area, the market and many sights. Massimo was attentive giving us recommendations and answering all questions quickly and with kindness and generosity.

We enjoyed staying at this apartment very much. Massimiliano’s apartment was homely, comfortable and easy to be in. Air conditioning, a fully equipped kitchen, cosy lounge/dining area and balcony overlooking Via Maqueda meant we were near the heart of the historic centre of Palermo, with access to many important cultural sites.Massimiliano was very warm & kind, providing us with a fantastic list of excellent restaurants and key attractions to visit. Also if you are into art do not miss the remarkable Pinakotheka across the street!I would thoroughly recommend this lovely ‘stay’ to anyone considering a holiday in Palermo.

We walked everywhere! Amazing location with walking access to all the major, and several minor, attractions. Massimo is a wonderful host, he picked us up at the airport and took the time to explain the appartment and walk through all the recommendations.

Massimo is a charming and helpful host, the apartment is just lovely, and very well equipped. The little terrace high above the pedestrian street is great for hanging out. The only possible caveat is the stairs to the fourth floor - but so worth the climb! We loved it and would definitely stay there again if we were going to Palermo!

Massimo, our host, was very helpful. Our ferry from Naples arrived early but Massimo was willing to get up early and meet us at the property, which was lovely and well-equipped. He gave us multiple suggestions about food and fun, and was overall a perfect host.

Amazing property, centrally located to everything in the city center. Wonderful host who was easy to communicate with, and greated us upon arrival to do a walk through of the apartment. Will stay here again when we return to Palermo!

The apartment is beautiful and spacious, as described. It is very close to the train station on the via Maqueda. Its location means that there is quite a bit of street noise. I specifically asked Massimo about this, and was assured that it wouldn't be a problem, as the bedrooms are at the back of the apartment. Both the person with whom I shared the apartment and I, however found that there was just as much street noise in the bedrooms as in the living room at the front of the apartment. We both had to sleep with the windows closed and with ear plugs. In addition, some kind of electrical unit sits on the side of the building right beside the living room wall; we could hear the hum of that machine all day and night. Despite these drawbacks, we did like the apartment which is spacious and centrally located. I just wish I had been told that in fact noise is an issue when I specifically inquired about it.

This apartment is perfectly located in the middle of the old city, within a few minutes of all the major historical attractions. Massimo was an excellent host, it is well worth getting him to meet you as the main door to the building is not easy to find first time. The 99 steps to the flat door can be tiring, but they help to work off the great food that is all around. The whole apartment was spotlessly clean and well equipped. My only slight negative comment is that the air conditioning is available at an extra cost, which is not mentioned in the listing. We didn't need it but some people would want to know this before.
