BR - ❤️ Modern and Comfy 1BR Apartment in Logan Square!

This was in a perfect location for us doing activities on the north side of town. It was cute, easy to park, and felt safe. As stated in the listing, the heat/air control is outside of this unit and you need to message management to adjust for you. They were VERY responsive to our requests to get it adjusted to our liking (super fast). The mattress is a tempurpedic-type.The listing is very clear that this is a basement apartment and that the ceiling is 5' 8. To clarify, it is 5' 8 in the lowest sections (ie, covered section down center, probably where HVAC or ducts are). So, yes, you wouldn't want to bump into those in the night, but if you are okay ducking on your way into the bathroom and bedroom, you might be fine here. You'd want to clarify with the owner, but I'm guessing the majority is 6 feet.The things to be aware of. This is a building with multiple units and it's an older structure. The floors creek and if those in neighboring units have loud voices, you will hear them. You also may pick up food smells from other units, etc. So, depending on how sensitive you are, something to consider. There are windows that can be opened. And, we always travel with a white noise machine. I do believe there was also a fan and space heater in the unit.

Nice place, host did give heads up about low ceilings, but they were even lower than described in hall to bathroom

Everything was as advertised. Property was neat, clean and conveniently located.

I stayed here for a week and had a great experience. I was on my own, and the space was ideal for one person—comfortable, quiet, and easy to settle into.Check-in and check-out were seamless, and the host was incredibly attentive, regularly checking in and sharing helpful information.Just a couple of small things to note: the A/C is shared with the rest of the house, so you can’t adjust it yourself, though the host is happy to assist if needed. There was also a fairly loud machine in the unit, likely part of the A/C system.Overall, I had a very pleasant stay and would happily recommend it for short visits

Joan was great! She was a great host. The bed was exceptionally comfy!

The unit was well kept, had a nice selection of spices and staples as well as all needed utensils, cookwear, and appliances. Overall great experience 10/10

This is a basement unit, and it may be a tight fit for taller people. I am 5’,1” and it was comfortable for me. Being a basement, the floors were a bit uneven, and the apartment was also kept a little too cold at times, but I could have made more of an effort to communicate around that. The fridge is too small and the kitchen is a little understocked for any actual cooking.

Hosts were responsive to all of my questions and texts, property was exactly as described, large enough for 2-3 people if necessary, will be back when in chicago!

Easy check-in and Joan provided everything we needed and more for an extended weekend stay in Chicago! Neighborhood was great for getting around restaurants, bars, and transportation to downtown. My partner and I were both under 5'5 so the basement unit was actually a pretty fun experience. Would definitely recommend!
