Blois and its castles

This was a wonderful stay for our family. Gloria communicated consistently with us to make sure everything was perfect. The location of the home was ideal, within easy walking distance of all Blois has to offer, and with a view of the beautiful old buildings. We were comfortable and enjoyed the seasonal decorations throughout the home. I give this stay my highest recommendation.

Stayed at this home with my wife and two older teenage kids. The house is in a great location and a short walk to lots of restaurants and 15 min walk to the Blois Gare. Right next to beautiful historic Saint Louis Cathedral and close to the great Denis Papin staircase.The N1/N2 bus (free bus) was close by and really helped to get around. The house was awesome and comfortable. Its is a walk up though (if you have trouble with stairs). The house was stocked with everything - plates, pots etc and everything needed to cook and have dinner there. We went to the amazing farmers market on Saturday and stocked up on vegetables and pasta and cooked there most nights. But excellent restaurants are very close by. The owner Gloria was quick to respond with questions and anything we needed. We had such a great time and would love to stay there again if possible. We were there researching the area because my wife’s mom grew up in Blois during WW2 and live a 20 min a walk away. We still want to explore the area, so we will be back again. We had a lovely week in Blois. The apartment is right in the heart of the old town of Blois. Very well equipped too. Very reasonably priced too. Gloria was prompt to respond to my queries which was great. She had a powerful fan which helped with the hot days we had.

We really enjoyed our stay here. It is exactly as it is described. The loft bedroom is a fun arrangement for the second bedroom. We stayed in Blois during a relatively hot spell There was great flow though of air, so the temperature inside stayed very comfortable. The Host, Gloria, was so helpful. She put in extra effort to make sure we had a great stay.

Gloria’s apartment is small but was good accommodation for a family of 3. It is exactly as shown in the photos. The stairs are a bit of a challenge with suitcases. The apartment had everything we needed. The building is quiet and it is in a convenient location. We really enjoyed our stay in Blois. Gloria is a wonderful host. Thank you Gloria ! This apartment was the perfect location for exploring beautiful Blois and bike riding on the Loire. Although it was a climb to the 3rd floor, we enjoyed the peace and quiet, plus the great views. Our hosts were so friendly and helpful. A great experience!

We were met by Gloria who was very friendly and helpful even though we had limited French. The apartment was clean and comfortable and close to the centre of town and the river which made the visit to Blois easy for access to restaurants and sights. It was handy to have a washing machine and iron and ironing board. The kitchen facilities were also good which we only used for breakfast but there was a stove if needed. The apartment was up three flights of stairs which were not a problem for us but might be for some

We enjoyed our stay in this apartment located in one of the oldest historical buildings in Blois. We loved visiting nearby chateaux in Blois and Chambord. The apartment worked well for 3 of us, was clean and bright (note there are many flights of stairs and no elevator to reach the apartment, which may be a consideration for some people). There was a slight miscommunication with the owner Gloria on our arrival time, but we were able to rectify this quickly and Gloria met us at the apartment. Although we had little French and she had little English, we were able to understand everything.
