Loved our stay and may re-book in the future. My 88 year old mother was able to get around inside the place and it was clean and comfortable. We were able to push her up and down the main street in her wheelchair from the place.

This entire stay was spectacular. Susie and her husband are over the top hosts! They have thought of any and everything someone may need while staying away from home and gladly provide all of it. This is truly an exceptional property with a super host who puts other properties to shame. We honestly have never been so pampered and cared for in a rental space or even a hotel. Suzie is nothing short of amazing and this property is something you will talk about and remember as the gold standard of hospitality. When looking for a place, Stable Masters ticks off all the requirements:Easy access, private, spacious, comfortable beds, new bathroom and fixtures, hot water that stays hot and great proximity to everything. But this list doesn’t do justice to the details. It is decorated perfectly, linens are clean and rich, not threadbare, all the home decor is beautiful and the kitchen was stocked. We had not only a coffee maker, Keurig and French press but coffee, creamers, (yes flavored!), bagels, cereal, milk and juice. Our host, Suzie also made muffins for our last morning. I cannot say enough about our stay. I highly recommend you book this place as soon as it’s available. I promise you will not be disappointed-you will be impressed.

Absolutely the best place to stay! We returned for a second time this year and plan to stay again next year for a girls weekend getaway. No detail is overlooked in the property from amenities to decorating details.

The hostess was extremely helpful and welcoming throughout our stay. She provided cookies when we arrived and muffins the morning we left. The refrigerator was well stocked with water, milk, local apple cider and iced tea. All amenities were exceptional and the rooms were comfortable and inviting. This was a great place to stay.

The absolute perfect place!! Our hostess was the best! She knew we were celebrating my bday, and so when we arrived, she had happy birthday, Michelle signs to greet us! Also, she had my favorite music playing, fresh cookies, and a magical piece of bday cake! So many personal touches! I felt quite pampered. Plus, the place itself is stunning! Gorgeous decor! So many little things like a heated towel rack...every possible thing you might need when traveling, she had waiting for you.

This was a fabulous trip. The hospitality, the beautiful accommodations. The weather was even perfect. I can not wait to come back and stay at this spectacular place. Suzy is a beaitiful human. She made us feel very special.

I’m confident in my belief that Suzie is far more concerned with properly serving her guests than she is any income her property may generate. She was a phenomenal hostess, providing us a much better than home, home away from home experience. Her generosity shines by way of all the amenities and thoughtful extras she willingly provides and by way of her kind communication. She and Ron are surely as valuable of an asset to Madison, Indiana, as their location in Madison is to the guests they host. Their accommodations are top notch in cleanliness and cozy comfort, and close to nearly everything of interest. Pack your walking shoes because you can explore several sites, shops, and restaurants all within walking distance.

Everything that we wanted to see was easily within walking distance except the SP. Host Suzie (and Ron) was wonderful.

We had a GREAT stay. Suzie and Ron are wonderful hosts, from the beginning to the end of our stay.We were able to check in early, when we walked in, my favorite artist was playing and a dish of warm delicious cookies were on the stove waiting for us. On our last night we got a text asking us what time we wanted the home made blueberry muffins Ron was making delivered in the morning. So many nice surprises, too many to list. Highly recommend Stablemaster's Quarters, you can't go wrong.

On our 1st night there, my husband slipped and fell on a step directly outside the bedroom door. Spent 5 hours in er. 8 stitches, facial fractures and fractured pelvis. Needless to say our trip was pretty bad after that. Down lightning or motion lights would helped at that step. Otherwise it may have been a great stay.

It is the perfect place to stay. Located just between the river and the main street. The hosts were so gracious. They are truly a gift to Madison, IN We knew right away that if we needed anything, they would be there for us.

Perfect in everyway

All was lovely. Location perfect for a stroll on the riverfront and for walking to dinner. Loved listening to the church bells. Communication was great and the apartment was perfect. Warm blueberry muffins were so delicious.

We had the best stay here for our annual mom/daughter/grandson trip. Everything about the place was perfect and there were so many “extras” that made you feel so special! Our host reached out before we ever came to provide suggestions on places to eat and places to visit in Madison. She left cookies and sweet tea out upon our arrival when she found out my 11 year old was also coming. He walked around the place and had to facetime everyone at home to tell them what they were missing by not being with us. The location is great for walking to the river or to many different shops and small restaurants and coffee shops in the area. The place is amazing and we will for sure be back!

This stay surpassed all expectations we had. The hosts were phenomenal and really made us feel loved and appreciated. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed (and more)! We are already planning our next trip back!

Came for graduation from Hanover College. Instead of normal hotel, decided we needed more space for the weekend. Suzie had the rental in great shape with lots of conveniences of home (and more) there and ready for us. Location was great to walk around Madison and the riverfront. Great time and place.

I can't say enough good things about this property and Ron & Suzie. Suzie is very communicative with guests, but not overly so. She and Ron are very friendly and are extremely hospitable. We arrived to warm cookies and a small gift. On our check-out day Suzie brought us warm muffins. The property smelled amazing, it was very clean and stocked with all the comforts of home. It's within walking distance of everything. I will definitely be staying here any time I'm in Madison.

This is the second time staying at this unit. Next weekend, we are going down and staying in the upstairs loft. Looking forward. Always a great time staying with Suzie. Highly recommend.

For Spring Break, I took my three hormonal and grumpy teenagers to stay at the Stablemaster's Quarters in Madison. All of their angst melted away upon entering our moody yet welcoming abode. They were delighted to find their favorite music playing and fresh cookies waiting for them! The care and attention to guests' experience was evident- from the meticulous and thoughtful renovations to the muffins delivered to us the morning that we checked out!Suzie could not have been a better hostess! She truly has a passion for making her guests feel like beloved family. My kids want her to adopt them!Communication was on point from the moment we booked to check-out. Parking was easy and convenient. Location is centered in a bustling, quaint downtown with tons of shops and restaurants! Clifty Falls was just a few minutes of driving away (and SO worth visiting!).Suzie- You have spoiled my kids! How am I ever going to top this?! We will absolutely be back!

Amazing hosts! Rustic decor with interesting history. Very cozy. Hosts made us homemade cookies when we arrived and fixed us muffins the morning we left. I don’t think there’s anything they haven’t thought of that you might need. Definitely one of the nicest VRBO we’ve ever stayed at and we will definitely return. We had an amazing stay at Stablemaster's Quarters! Ron and Suzie went above and beyond to make our stay incredible! When we walked in there were delicious cookies waiting and some of our favorite music playing! There space is just beautiful, so cozy and comfortable! They had great suggestions for local dining and activities in their beautiful city. We were on one block from Main Street with numerous shoppes and restaurants.to enjoy! 3 elder relatives celebrating 2 birthdays selected the stablemasters quarters in Madison because we like historic structures. The location is ideal because we could walk to almost everything. The former stables are decorated to reflect the building’s first use as a stables in the 1860s. Our host stocked the frig with birthday cake and added happy birthday touches. throughout. A lovely and convenient and very special place to stay!

This was by far one of the best places we have ever stayed. The host was amazing, perfect location and all extra little details made this stay so memorable. We were able to walk to everything downtown Madison had to offer. The host was SO very helpful with recommendations on where to eat and visit. She went above and beyond to make our stay so relaxing. And relax we did in the beautifully decorated apartment that was beyond clean and comfortable. Would recommend to anyone and look forward to staying there again!!

The Stable Master apartment was one of the nicest places we have stayed in. Very comfortable. Completely stocked with everything you need for your stay. We celebrated our 58th wedding anniversary there and Susie made it really special. Happy anniversary reminders inside and out. Cookies when we got there and muffins in the morning with juice. She is a very gracious host. The town of Madison is beautiful and authentic. We will be going back.

This property has everything we wanted and more! On top of the cleanliness, central location, ease of checkout, fair price, and beautiful details, the stable house was so incredibly inviting and cozy! On top of that, the hosts provided the utmost hospitality including fresh baked goods and some pantry and toiletry items available for use. Come for a great weekend away! You won’t be disappointed!

This place is awesome! It’s the best place to stay in Madison, IN. Well decorated and has everything you need. The host Suzie goes over and above to make sure your stay is memorable. Great location in town. We already have future dates reserved and will add more in 2025.

We stayed for our anniversary with our adult children. If I could give it more than five stars, I would. So many special touches throughout our stay. We would definitely stay at this location again!

Our stay at Stable Masters Quarters was truly delightful! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with fresh baked cookies and our favorite genre of music playing, thanks to Alexa. Ron’s homemade salsa and the bag of chips were a wonderful touch. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the Christmas decor added a beautiful festive charm to the place. Meeting Suzie and Ron was a pleasure—they are such kind souls. Suzie’s fresh muffins on our departure date were the perfect send-off. We highly recommend Stable Masters Quarters for a cozy and welcoming stay!

My twin sister and I visited for a birthday trip. Looked just like in the pictures and beds were very comfortable. Kitchen was fully stocked with cooking utensils, pans, salt and pepper, etc. Suzie thought of everything I didn't know we needed or wanted...from a cute birthday banner and piece of cake to milk or cream in the fridge for coffee. Will definitely stay again! Thanks for the hospitality.

We just had a very enjoyable stay in Madison this past week mostly due to the incredible hospitality shown to us by our host, Suzie. First, it’s hard to imagine a prettier, more comfortable apartment on VRBO than Susie’s. Just about everything you need to have a relaxing stay was provided from hot cookies on arrival to warm muffins in the morning. The frig and pantry were filled with goodies and eliminated the need to make any trips to the food market. The location was perfect, near shops and restaurants. If you are a couple or a group of four, the unit is amazing. If you have a larger party Suzie can accommodate you in a fantastic loft apartment which she let us tour one afternoon. Ask her to show you the garage! We never experienced a host as caring as Suzie. She was ready to assist us with any question or need. When she learned we were there to visit a dear friend, she made it a point to be sure we had what we needed to make our visit a special one. Without question this is the best VRBO experience we have ever had.

The property was beautuful and the host outstanding. I was allowed in early and warm cookies were awaiting my arrival along with my favorite music playing. I will be back!!!

Susie is one of the nicest, most accommodating hosts you could ever find. She answered questions in minutes instead of hours, wanted to know our favorite music so that it would be playing as we walked in and then she had hot cookies waiting on the counter for us when we arrived. We were coming into town early so that we could watch a football game at one of the local establishments and then check in. She was so accommodating that we were able to check in early and watch most of the game in her beautiful apartment. Every amenity that you could possibly want she has provided along with many that you wouldn’t even think of. The refrigerator was stocked with flavored creamers, many kinds of coffee, bagels and cream cheese, condiments, spices and water. The beds and the linens are top-notch and we slept like babies. Our 2 1/2 day retreat felt like a week’s vacation. I can’t wait to return!

This was an amazing place! The restoration was so amazing and all the touches were perfect. You can’t go wrong staying here. Our was fantastic and made wonderful suggestions and made sure we had everything we needed. It is right by everything, you ca. literally walk anywhere. You can’t go wrong staying here.

This was the best accommodations with everything you need and want. I loved it! Highly recommend it!! Extremely clean and decorated so nicely. The beds were very comfortable and kitchen had everything you need and more. The host is so sweet and goes the extra mile to ensure you have a great stay. Perfect stay, wouldn’t change a thing!!

This is easily one of the best places we have stayed on vacation. Suzanne WAS the best host we have ever had. Extremely fast to respond to any questions and kept us informed of any maintenance visits that needed to be done. There was some warm cookies waiting for us when we arrived and she delivered fresh muffins to our doorstep a few days later. The stablemasters quarters where we stayed was amazing. Very clean, well stocked and comfortable. We were celebrating our anniversary and a nice touch that was very appreciated was a slice of cake with a Happy Anniversary sign on it. There was also a small Happy Anniversary banner in the living room. A very thoughtful touch. The one caveat would be the TV is too small to be comfortably viewed from the couch. For us, the location was perfect. Easily within walking distance to all the unique shops and restaurants in downtown Madison and the river is only a few blocks away too! Overall, we are extremely happy and satisfied and will definitely be visiting again.

We spent 6 lovely nights at the Stablemaster's Quarters. Suzie has meticulously arranged a haven of rest in an old livery stable. Her design and decoration of the space shows a well thought out plan for her guest relaxation and rest. Little details like fresh baked cookies and muffins, fresh milk or creamer for coffee, umbrellas (which we needed) cozy throws for the couch and fresh flowers enhanced our stay. Communication is excellent and informative. We hope to return soon!

If I could give a higher rating, I would. I don't want to spoil the hosts several surprises, but you will be over the moon upon your arrival. I highly recommend anybody to stay here.
