Greenwich House, a beautiful Grade Two listed Georgian house, lies in the centre of historic Ludlow, famous for its colourful history, architectural beauty and reputation for culinary excellence, with one Michelin star and many other fine restaurants. It's ideal for exploring the Castle, magnificent 12th Century Church and marvellous antique shops. Every day, you can tread the beautiful cobbled streets and enjoy the local fruit and produce markets, or antique and craft fairs, almost every day of the week.

The Balcony Flat is on the second floor of the house and being sited at the rear, it is very quiet and private. The balcony itself overlooks the fascinating garden of 2, Mill Street itself, and has a unique vista over the backs of the old Ludlow town houses and their gardens, and a lovely view of St. Laurence’s Church. The balcony has room for sitting out and basking in the sun, and the steps lead down to its private garden that goes with the Balcony Flat, where there is a picnic table and BBQ, seating 4 -6.

The Balcony Flat has a staircase for comfortable access. It comprises one double bedroom with ensuite bathroom and one smaller bedroom with single bed and ensuite shower, and a separate toilet. There is a modern fitted kitchen, a very spacious sitting room/dining room with double sofa bed, which leads out on to the balcony.

The kitchen is fitted with modern units including a fridge freezer, a dishwasher, a microwave and a washing machine, with a service hatch through to the main sitting room. The sitting room, with original beams across the ceiling, enjoys a lovely sunny aspect. The outside door leads out on to the balcony, which is wide enough to take sunchairs and a small table, and overlooks an enchanting lower garden with views of the Church and the backs of old Ludlow town houses. This Flat has its own private garden, which is accessed down the wooden staircase.

PARKING: From 6pm until 8am there's free parking in the street. For other times there are various options with various prices, but the best option is in Smithfield car park which is £13 for a whole week just a 10 minute walk through town from the house. For loading and unloading 10 minutes is fine.

Host was communicative and friendly, property was clean. Parking is awkward/expensive (using paid car parks). It suited our short stay needs and i was able to park outside a family members house.

Sue is a wonderful host. Check in was seamless. She advised regarding sights of Ludlow and even took us on a tour of surrounding countryside in her car.

Property is cozy and has lots of character. Sue was a good welcoming host. The beds are comfortable. The location excellent. The PARKING at the property is actually on street, metered parking at 2 per hr, free only at night time, which was disappointing as this is why we booked. We couldn’t get the boiler to work, believe it might be broken.

The flat was in a great central location in Ludlow so we could walk everywhere we needed to go. And Ludlow is a beautiful town - so much to see and do. The flat was clean but felt like it could do with a little refresh - not sure how long it's been a rental property. It had a rather tired feel. For example, the shower in the second bedroom didn't work and there was no mirror in either the second bedroom or the little bathroom. The second bedroom felt a little unaired and the alcove by the shower could use a little tidying up. Also, there was no hair dryer which one assumes these days is standard provision so I didn't ask in advance about this. Overall, it was a convenient spot and suited me and my friend for a short break but certainly not the best Vrbo I've stayed in. However, we really appreciated Steve carrying our cases up 2 flights of stairs, and the whistlestop tour of Ludlow from Susan. Maybe the same attention to detail could usefully be paid to ensuring the flat is in tip top condition for guests ?

This top floor flat is right in the middle of town so a great location to explore Ludlow. Sue could not have been more helpful when getting us settled in and making us feel at home.
