You will feel at home away from home in this beautiful, large and classy two-bedroom, one full bath apartment with a separate den/TV room and formal living room/dining room with a wood fireplace situated 5 minutes by foot from the main gondola to the ski slopes and 3 minutes from a world class championship golf course. The apartment is in the heart of downtown Crans, across from a grocery store, the Caviar House, down the street from Louis Vuiton and Hermes, the movie theater and some of the best shopping, bars, restaurants, grocery stores in all Switzerland. Alpine views can be enjoyed from every window. Spacious balconies are found outside every room where sitting and dining 'al fresco' is possible during the warmer months.

This well-appointed apartment can comfortably sleep up to 6 adults but is perfect for 4 and even better for a romantic getaway for 2! There is a queen-size bed in each bedroom and a queen-size sofa bed in the separate den/TV room. It has a formal living room with a wood fireplace and dining room as well as a breakfast nook for two in the kitchen.

ABOUT CRANS-MONTANA
Crans-Montana is one of Switzerland’s big, world-famous ski resorts, occupying the sunniest plateau in the Alps, facing south over the Rhône valley with a spectacular panorama over some of the most beautiful peaks in the Alps, such as the Matterhorn and Mont Blanc. Crans-Montana offers a particularly wide range of activities all year round. Along with Verbier and St Moritz, it’s also one of the glitziest, with what the local tourist office here likes to call 'the finest shopping in the Alps'. The resort actually comprises three villages, Crans-sur-Sierre, Montana and, out on a limb, Aminona; the agglomeration sprawls for more than 2km between Crans, to the west, and Montana, to the east. Skiing takes second place to the round of wining and dining embarked upon by fashionable aficionados of Crans-Montana’s affluent social life – although the resort does have the advantage of access to year-round skiing on the Plaine Morte glacier, way up above 3000m. The entire ski area here includes a total of 30 lifts and over 140 km of trails. Particularly popular are the broad carving trails and the valley descent down the Piste Nationale which, at 12 km, is the longest in the region. Skiing aside, the place is best known for hosting the European Masters golf tournament every September. Second only to the British Open for prestige and top names, Crans’s scenic course – “by far the most spectacular tournament site in the world” according to Greg Norman – was redesigned in 1999 by Seve Ballesteros, and now boasts fiendishly complex upturned-saucer greens, which led one frustrated player to describe playing a round as “having eighteen teeth pulled one by one”.

Crans-Montana is about two+ hours away from either Geneva or Milan International Airports and can easily be accessed by train and then by bus or taxi from the nearest train station at Sierre. The bus from Sierre stops steps away from the apartment.

    We loved staying here in the heart of Crans-Montana. Easy walking to restaurants, cafes, shops and the one local movie theater as well as the gondola up the mountain and funicular down. Host was very responsive and provided very clear instructions about everything and great recommendations for all kinds of activities. We will aim to stay here again when we return.

    This lovely 2-bedroom apartment is perfectly located in Crans, close to shops and restaurants and with easy access to the slopes. It feels like a cozy retreat in a classy village. La Residence is ultra-clean, well-appointed, and comfortable. The kitchen and bathroom are beautifully tiled, the beds and bedding are wonderful, and the living room fireplace makes an already welcoming space that much more romantic! Everything is as described, but even better.

    We had the good fortune to rent Philippe's apartment for the Christmas holiday. We travelled with our two teenage kids - so 4 people in total. My 6'2 tall 16 yr. old slept on the pull out sofa in the TV room and never complained - rare for a teenager, for sure. The apartment is well appointed with everything you could need. Lovely linens, ample towels and a welcome pack of toiletries after a long trip from the US - all were so thoughtful. The kitchen was well equipped - everything there for a meal or just to have snacks and drinks. We didn't cook much - so much good food in Crans - but we loved having the kitchen so well stocked for our use. We enjoyed the fireplace, the cozy living room and we loved how thoughtful everything was in the apartment. Our most favorite part was the location. Not only was the people watching excellent from the front windows, but we walked everywhere: the gondola, the patisserie, the grocery store, the pharmacy, restaurants and night life. We really began to feel like we knew our way around and with such a central location - we felt a little less like a tourist! Philippe's excellent recommendations help with all of that - since he grew up in Crans, we really felt like we had the inside scoop on everything in Crans-Montana. We are already planning our return trip.

    Nice spacious and well furnished apartment, strategically located in the heart of Crans with triple exposure on Rue du Pas-de-l'Ours, Rue Centrale and living room terrace facing south on internal parking. PRO: Large and well furnished apartment Location (downtown Crans, 5 min walking from Crans-sur-Sierre télécabine and Golf Course) well cleaned 2 beautiful double rooms A complete kitchen WIFI included We did not have any problems with the soundproofing even though the apartment is located over a crowded center for the end of Year holidays. CONS: Regarding the apartment nothing negative to report. Probably more than 4 adults would miss 1 extra bathroom; we stayed 2 adults + 1 child so the apartment was even too big. The only consideration is that the building is not newly built and some details are a little dated. From building entrance you can directly access the Café Bar 1900 (nice place where to eat and drink) but in the basement, in addition to the cellars / access to the garages, are also located the bathrooms of the bar.

    An absolutely lovely flat, well equipped and clean in a fabulous central location for both eating out and obligatory shopping as well as skiing. We had wonderful snow which brought out all aspects of the flat and Crans although it also meant we got snow ploughing at night and early morning.

    The location of the apartment is in downtown of Cranes, perfect to ealk to any of the restaurants, bars or shops. Right on the other part of the street is a COOP where you can buy food and all the other things wich are needed. The apartment is well equiped and nothing is missing. The comunication with the owner works perfect. We can only recommend this location.

    Nice apartment in the center of Crans. Not a new apartment in terms of the building itself but with all the comfort. What pleased me is that you can feel the typical atmosphere of this family place, with golf cups on the wall, books with children annotations, the fireplace, noble decorations and pieces of furniture, etc. A direct access to the pub downstairs is a plus. Our family liked the place and we relaxed directly. 10 min walk from the ski lifts. On the improvement side, the old window frames don't protect very well from the noise (nightly snowplow jobs).     We went for a 4 day trip for the European Golf. The apartment is brilliantly situated, right at the heart of Crans near to the course and public transport. The apartment itself was perfect for 4 people and was very tidy, classy and had plenty of room. We had a great time and Crans was a great lively place during the golf week. Highly recommended
