Very nice private apartment of 51m² renovated in a historic district (at the foot of the castle) is perfect for a romantic stay for two in Saumur. It is 5 minutes from Place Saint Pierre with its restaurants and shops, opposite the banks of the Loire and cycle paths.

Stayed Oct 17, 2025Super host, who was easy to contact, friendly and welcoming. The gite was really clean, and had everything you needed for a good stay. Free parking is available all around the property. Would highly recommend for a stay in Saumur.

Stayed Nov 15, 2021Very cosy appartement centrally in Saumur, close to shops, attractions and restaurants. Sited close to the Loire, there are plenty of things to do without a car, but the owners provided a safe parking space in a locked courtyard. Aliona and Benoît were wonderful hosts.

Stayed May 18, 2019The hosts spoke English and were very polite and accommodating. The hosts live close to the property so check in was easy. The apartment was very clean and nice within a short walk to restaurants and cafes.

Stayed Jun 5, 2018Nice compact ground floor apartment literally across the road to the banks of the Loire and immediately below the chateau. There was parking adjacent to the property and a lively centre around st peters square about 1/2 mile away. Had a really nice meal at the Carousel restaurant. Enjoyed a visit to Grenelle wine cellars more than expected
