Beautiful 1800s Carriage Home, Renovated w/ Modern Décor by Lucky Savannah

Property was perfect for what we were looking for! Difficult to find the entrance when trying to check in with vague information. Delayed reponse when calling about parking situation, but overall the place is cute and cozy and in a great location for a weekend getaway!

The house is definitely a little spooky which my boyfriend and I loved. We also loved how it had everything we needed. Even a wine bottle opener! We celebrated our anniversary here and could not ask for a better experience. The shops are within walking distance and it’s a quiet community. It’s also only 3 hours from Gainesville! Definitely coming back.

This property is perfect for one or two people who want a low keyed, quiet retreat after a day of visiting the city. It was clean and comfortable. If you are high maintenanced and want folded down bed sheets everyday and staff to wish you well each time you leave, this is not the place for you.

The house was smaller than we felt was depicted in the photos and had no central heat, so we had to turn heaters on until the fuse blew. The very narrow spiral stairs are hard to navigate and have a very flimsy hand rail.As a unsettling punctuation mark to our stay, we heard what was either a raccoon or large-size critter scurrying around above us in what was either the attic or on the roof.

The air conditioning was wonderfully cold, and there were plenty of towels and supplies provided.The only thing to note is the staircase—it looks great and adds to the charm, but if you have any mobility issues or are unusually tall or wide it could be a bit tricky.Overall, I highly recommend this rental!

Quaint place to stay. Stairs to the bedroom/bathroom left a little to be desired. Good location. Nice neighborhood. Close to a good dog park.

We visited Savannah for a tournament my husband coached in and this apartment was so cute! Stocked with everything we needed, clean, and central to many places in Savannah.

Absolutely loved this cute and cozy carriage house. It was the perfect balance of antique and modern. It is on the lane behind the main neighborhood road (which really is considered one of the most beautiful streets in the country). Locked gate entrance from the lane into cute (small and private) courtyards backed up together. Felt very comfortable coming and going and walking to and from River St. I would not walk around at night unless in a group or near a touristy area. Loved my trip and would definetly stay here again!!!

Found clothing, unopened food, and dead bugs under the couch when we went to use the pull out. The pull out was also a bit dirty. Overall awesome staff, TV wasn’t working but they came right out to help. And the place was very cute. Also there was no dishwasher

Overall the stay was great, the place was very cozy and we would stay here again, it was right in the middle of everything we wanted to do or see. I would like to say that the stairway to get to the bedroom was much narrower than anticipated and the railing was a little broken. Also, the fireplace area did leak a lot upstairs which then did leak through the floor into the downstairs during the heavy rainstorm that happened while we were there; it did not bother us, but should be looked at. The bed was very comfortable.

Aside from not being able to find any trash bags and only being given 3 towels for two people staying 3 days, it was good. Very small place and have to go up and down the stairs a bunch, but overall a nice stay. The neighbors are all really kind and the location is pretty good too.

Convenient location. Difficult to navigate steps to bedroom and bathroom. No coffee. No ice trays. Upstairs AC was worthless. Very uncomfortable, hot sleeping. Entry door ws tricky to open and worse to close.

Inside was cute bare essentials in the kitchen, lots of clean linen. If you have bad knees, the very small spiral staircase is a tight fit, especially carrying up luggage. The air conditioner was noisy and you need to run the 2 fans, one on each floor. Location is OK, wear sneakers! My daughter and I (68 years old) handled the walks! We had a great time in the historical beautiful city of Savannah.

If you like to sweat this is the place for you. The smallest AC to cool the whole place. We even asked someone to come look at it and they said there was nothing they could do since it was blowing cold air. Yes it was an inch away from you but it was not cooling the place down. Being 7 months pregnant we ended up buying an ac unit for upstairs and it clearly said it was 83 degrees inside when we plugged it in. They need to do better and have efficient AC for this home. Still payed for full stay. Do not recommend

Reviewer Comments: The house was a nice size for an individual visiting for a few days. However, the upkeep was disappointing and is noted in the following sentences. The handrail for the stairwell leading upstairs was made of PVC plastic pipe and was duct taped together at the top of the stairwell. The sink in the bathroom had been damaged and was glued back together. The side table by downstairs couch had been replaced with a mini fridge with a lamp sitting on the top of it. The upstairs AC wall unit would shut off randomly so the upstairs would never cool off (sweated the whole time). The toilet started to leak in the middle of the night. I informed the rental company of the issues and they only addressed the leaky toilet. No apologies were given or an offer to relocate me into a different rental. The rental company only stated that they would have someone look into my concerns.
