## Neighborhood

Praia da Luz is a small resort town located on the incredible Algarve coastline 10km west of Lagos. Praia da Luz or just Luz, was originally a small fishing village on the edge of sandy bay surrounded by cliffs. This sandy bay sheltered by cliffs means it’s a perfect family beach destination. Although the town is now more of a holiday resort it still retains some of the original features from its historical past. The bigger town Lagos is less than 10 minutes' drive away and in the other direction, you will find many small beach towns and breathtaking beaches. Perfect for family, beach and watersport (surf) trips.

Lagos is the perfect holiday destination with a lively historical center full of shops, (super)markets, a marina, bars and restaurants. It is known for its breathtaking cliffs and we highly recommend a boat, kayak or SUP tour to see them from the water. The town has a picturesque historical center, great food and friendly people. As it is located on the coast you can enjoy several watersports activities such as surfing and sailing. There are many activities for all ages and preferences in this area.

## Transit

You can reach Lagos in about one hour by car from Faro Airport and car rental is available in the parking lot of the airport. By train it will take about 2,5 to 3 hours. You can walk into town and the beach from the apartment

Lagos has a train station (for travel towards Faro, Lisbon and Porto) and a bus station (for buses towards the west-side of the south coast) but do note that buses and trains only go a few times per day. You can easily get around without a car and there are plenty of taxis and Ubers available, but if you really want to explore the area surrounding Lagos, a (rental) car will make your life a whole lot easier.

    Nadat we bij de receptie vandaan kwamen om in te checken, kregen we een sms met bericht doucheslang kapot was. Dit was zaterdagmiddag, zondags zou de douche gerepareerd worden stond in het zelfde bericht.We moesten zorgen dat we de middag thuis zouden zijn.Hele middag gewacht maar kwam niemand. Maandag nog niemand, daarop is mijn man naar de receptie gegaan.We moesten middags thuis zijn , er is toen eindelijk iemand gekomen. Dus drie dagen bezig geweest te zorgen dat boel gemaakt zou worden en geen douche. We hadden een ander idee van vakantie vieren en 50 euro terug weegt niet op tegen de ellende…..had een andere tegemoetkoming verwacht. Helaas nooit meer
