Our apartment is situated at the Baía da Luz resort. Architecturally, the resort was designed with Arab influences, in a Roman style, and is divided into three buildings, which form apleasant feeling of an inner village.

The Italian Alloro restaurant enjoys a view over the pool, leisure, and garden areas. For those interested in Golf, there are 4 Golf courses nearby, in the space of 5 to 20 minutes by car.

## Neighborhood

Praia da Luz is a small resort town on the incredible Algarve coastline 10km west of Lagos. Praia da Luz, or just Luz, was originally a tiny fishing village on the edge of the sandy bay surrounded by cliffs. This sandy bay sheltered by cliffs is a perfect famiit'seach destination. Although the town is now more of a holiday resort, it still retains some of the original features from its historical past. The bigger city Lagos is less than 10 minutes drive away, and you will find many small beach towns and breathtaking beaches in the other direction. Perfect for family, beach and watersport (surf) trips.

Lagos is the perfect holiday destination with a lively historical centre full of shops, (super)markets, a marina, bars and restaurants. It is known for its breathtaking cliffs, and we highly recommend a boat, kayak or SUP tour to see them from the water. The town has a picturesque historical centre, great food and friendly people. It is located on the coast you can enjoy several watersports activities such as surfing and sailing. There are many activities for all ages and preferences in this area.

## Transit

You can reach Lagos in about one hour by car from Faro Airport; car rental is available in the airport's parking lot. By train, it will take about 2,5 to 3 hours. In addition, you can walk into town and the beach from the apartment.

Lagos has a train station (for travel towards Faro, Lisbon and Porto) and a bus station (for buses towards the west-side of the south coast), but do note that buses and trains only go a few times per day. You can quickly get around without a car, and plenty of taxis and Uber's are available, but if you want to explore the area surrounding Lagos, a (rental) car will make your life much easier.

    Really nice property on a fantastic complex on the edge of Praia Da Luz. Great options on site with the bar, restaurant, pool, play area and tennis courts, as well as easy walking distance to the town. Would highly recommend!

    We’ve stayed in Luz for the last 16 years at this location and it’s fantastic and this apartment was also fantastic because it has everything you need with brilliant on site restaurant “Alloro” with delicious food and great service, we will be returning very soon, highly recommend 10/10.
