The flat Castagnola 501 is a cosy unit characterised by a modern and functional design. Upon entering, you are greeted by a large, simply furnished living room with a grey sofa that doubles as a sofa bed (Please note: the sofa bed is not prepared for your arrival, as we think it is only fair that you use the sofa during the hours when you are not sleeping. You will find sheets, pillows and blankets in the cupboard/shelf closest to the sofa). Natural light penetrates abundantly through a largewindow that connects the interior with a balcony, offering an outdoor space perfect for relaxing. The living area is completed by a light wood wall unit that includes shelves for storage, a desk perfect for work or study, and a television.

The kitchen, located next to the living room, is compact but well organised, with light wood surfaces that contrast harmoniously with the white furniture. It is equipped with modern appliances, including an induction hob and a built-in oven. The area is designed to be functional, with a stainless steel sink and ample space for preparing meals, all illuminated by under-cabinet lights that create a warm and welcoming ambience.

The bedroom has a minimalist and elegant style that follows the aesthetic line of the flat. It is furnished with a double bed with a dark wooden frame, combined with white bed linen and decorative black and white cushions, which add a sophisticated touch to the ambience. Next to the bed is a wooden bedside table with a modern lamp. A window provides pleasant natural light.

The flat's white-tiled bathroom has a bathtub with an integrated shower, a washbasin with mirror and a cabinet for storing personal belongings.

The distinctive element of the flat is the private balcony, accessible from the living room, furnished with a small round metal table and two chairs. This outdoor space provides a view of the surrounding landscape, with a partial glimpse of Lake Lugano and the mountains on the horizon, offering a relaxing and picturesque atmosphere.

Castagnola is a pretty village nestled in the hills of Lugano, enjoying plenty of sunshine and a wonderful view of the lake and surrounding mountains. The Parco Ciani and the Lido di Lugano, with its indoor swimming pool, summer outdoor pool, lakeside beach and tennis courts, are a 6-minute drive away; Lugano's historic centre is 10 minutes away. The picturesque village of Gandria can be reached in 5 minutes by car, or on foot along the beautiful ‘Sentiero degli Ulivi’. The summit of Mount Bré can be reached in 15 minutes by car, or for those who enjoy walking in 50 minutes by following one of the paths.



How to get there:

If you arrive by car, from the A2 motorway take the ‘Lugano Nord’ exit and follow the GPS signs: in 15 minutes you will arrive at the flat. Castagnola 501 does not have a private car park, but guests can park in the free public car parks opposite the building.

By public transport: Arriving at Lugano station, take bus No. 2 direction ‘Castagnola, Capolinea’ and get off after 13 stops at ‘Castagnola, Capolinea’. From here, you will be in front of the flat in 3 minutes on foot.
