Apartment Sleepy Hollow

This was a lovely, if somewhat dated flat. The views were great. It was set in an area of mainly holiday or long lets. The bed was comfy, but the pillows were a bit too soft. The kitchen had a good amount of equipment but the knives needed sharpening, and the wifi cut out a few times.But apart from that we really enjoyed our stay. The roof terrace was glorious, a lovely sun trap with amazing views. I would recomend this place to spend a week.

Excellent location and fabulous terrace. Good Spar shop and two bars round the corner. Definitely be back.

The apartment was spotless and quite spacious. The best aspect was the roof terrace. Perfect uninterrupted view of the ocean. Ideal for sunbathing. There are three restaurants and a supermarket within a few minutes walk. Highly recommended. Harald is always on hand in the unlikely event you will require his services.

Everything was as stated on the website. Centianes is a quiet corner of the Algarve. Just how we like it. Harald is there if you need him. We didn't but it is reassuring. Would go again.

We first went to Sleepy Hollow in 2007 and have been back every year since. The appartment is perfect for 2 and the roof terrace is perfect for a lazy afternoon on sunloungers, or an evening under the stars and a BBQ, or a morning reading and just looking out at the amazing sea view. Really is the perfect place to relax. The appartment has been well thought out by owners and has everything you could need. Carvoeiro has everything you could want - great cocktail bar, and other good bars, fabulous restaurants. Further afield there are some great places to explore as well - the owners have provided loads of guide books which really helped us. Great little place to get away from it all, chill out and just be together - can't recommend it enough!

Took my wife and small son (10mnths) on holiday and this place was excellent. Appartment is fabulously situated just 3 mins walk from local bars, shop and pizza place and 5 min drive into larger town of Carvoeiro. Beach 5 mins walk away, excellent walking from the door. Loads to do in the local area - from Monchique mountains and walks, exploring the coast and the numerous beaches, to the towns and villages nearby. Appartment itself was great - small but had everything you needed - washing machine, very well equiped kitchen, BBQ, clean and well maintained by owners. So good the wife has asked me if we can go back again this year - and I have already booked!

great view, situated on cliff top, well maintained, clean tidy, good walks, bars and supermarket near, close to carvoeiro for night life. all appliances including washer microwave hair dryer. A fantastic place to visit, we originally went for a quick break and loved it so much we went back for our honeymoon.

Having worked in the holiday business myself for the past 11 years I am a hard one to please - I don't necessarily need luxury but I do want the places I go to to live up to my very high expecations! Sleepy Hollow was perfect for me, my husband and our 2 young children (2yrs and 3mnths). OK there are steps up to the appartment but parking right outside doesn't make this an issue for lugging all the stuff that comes along with the boys and their needs! - and once inside you are on one level - no chance of falls! The roof terrace (again steps to get to it) is great as well - we could sunbathe and relax knowing that once the door was shut that the boys were safe on the terrace (Ideal spot for the oldest to practice his football) - (unlike other appartments which are on the ground floor and have gardens which are not fenced in and have a huge cliff edge at the bottom of the garden - no thank you!). The terrace at Sleepy Hollow is so peaceful and the views are amazing, The sunbeds, BBQ and table and chairs make it a hard place to leave!. Also perfect for a romantic candlelit dinner on an evening knowing the boys were safe downstairs (gate at the entrance way can be locked plus one other interior door.) Sleeping arrangements were me and my husband in the sofa bed in the living room (very comfortable) and curtained of to enable you to 'shut' the bedroom during the day. The boys shared the bedroom - and the owners kindly provided us with a cot for the baby. The appartment itself was spotlessly clean, the linen and towels of good quality and clean, the kitchen although small has everything you need, the bathroom as well - lack of a bath wasn't a problem as the owner kindly provided us with a large 'bucket' bath for the kids - which the oldest thought was fantastic! The best thing about the appartment though is it's location - a little shop, and a couple of bars just 2 mins walk away (one of which has a pool you can use - think it is only open high season though). Carvoeiro itself was a half hour walk (some steep hills with the pram but pavement most of the way so ok for pram and 'boogey board'), or a 5 min (4.50euro) taxi ride - the town has lots of restaurants with a variety of cuisines on offer, lots of bars, and everything you could need. Have already recommended this place to several friends and we have already booked again for this year!- fantastic location, excellent owners, basic but immaculate property!
