Stayed Dec 31, 1969We are a family of 4. (4 adults - 2 parents + 2 children in their early 20s). We enjoyed our stay (3 nights) at the apartment. The apartment was very clean and spacious and the beds comfortable. The kitchen is equipped with plenty of dishes, cups, glasses, cutlery, a few pots and small appliances, providing enough to make basic meals during one’s stay. The unit also has a washing machine and portable clothes dryer/hanger – perfect to refresh one’s clothing. In addition, the unit has both a heating and air conditioning unit ensuring one’s comfort should the temperature outside require its use. (We used the heat setting one evening.) The inside of the unit is as shown in the pictures – with one of the large beds able to separate into 2. The WIFI worked well (and is secure). The outdoor area is lovely – quiet, private and spacious – with seating under an overhang (protection from rain) and seating on open lawn as well (with trees – so you can sit in sunshine or shade). The lawn area is also as shown in the pictures. The area is very quiet even though homes are nearby. We used the apartment as a base to visit Split, Sibenik and Trogir (walking into Trogir from the unit.) It was very convenient and we noticed a few grocery stores on our routes (stopping in a couple. They had all that we needed.) Patricia, the owner, was very friendly and helpful (as was her husband). Patricia corresponded with us a few times, promptly answering questions that we had prior to our stay and was there when we arrived – able to show us around the unit and explain how all worked. I highly recommend the unit and would stay there again if visiting the area. As a secondary point - A restaurant recommendation that Patricia gave to us – Leonardo in Okrug Gornji (a neighbouring district and perhaps a 15 minute walk) – was EXCELLENT! We ate there twice in 2 days (one day sharing a meat platter, another sharing a seafood platter). Both meals were excellent and well priced.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969The apartment is according to the rental description, the kitchen is more than fully equipped, the water is drinkable but takes time to get used to the taste. The apartment is very colourful, well maintained and clean. The garden is very nice and we enjoyed the terrace in the afternoons. The house has a magnificent view but it´s a steep hill to the house. There is a small beach just down the road perfect for just taking a dip but the bigger beach with restaurants and waterplaygrounds is a 10 minute walk away. We found it a bit crowded during our stay and went to the nearby camping. At the camping you had to pay a small fee for adults per day but a lot less people, deeper water and more clean. The owners were very friendly, helpful and service minded. No problem with languages, English and German works fine. We rented the boat from the family and got to see Ciovo Island from the seaside which we can recommend, instead of renting a car. If there is no sun or a little bit cloudy, the main road was jammed and this is the only road to get from Ciovo to the mainland. To get into Trogir there was a 20 minutes’ walk from the house, watch out for cars, mobile caravans and motorcycles, there are no pavements adapted to pedestrians which was a challenge when it got dark. Trogir is exiting, noisy and vibrant. There are lot of places to eat breakfast, dinner or just to get a drink. The prices are fair and the food is very inspired from Italy with pasta’s and pizzas on every menu. Don’t miss the greengrocery market, fish market and the tourist market, which is situated on the mainland, just where Trogir starts/ends. If you are going to exchange money, check more places than one, due it can differ a lot when it comes to exchanges rates. We did a trip into Split with the one hour ferry from Trogir to experience a little history. Be prepared to walk a lot and that the prices are higher than Trogir, but worth it. In all, apartment “Sarah” fulfilled our expectations and Patrica & Slatko made our stay memborable.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Lovely apartment with beautiful garden and spacious outside seating area. Very close to the sea but no sea view because of other buildings blocking it. Spotlessly clean. Very well -equipped with everything you could possibly need - washing machine, hair dryer, clothes horse for drying clothes outside, insect screens on all windows. Very nice, helpful owner. There are two small supermarkets within 5 min walking distance and a range of shops, banks, restaurants, etc. a little bit further on at the main beach. The apartment is close to several different beaches. We mostly went to the closest one -just a few minutes walk down the hill. It's an artificial beach with white gravel so not all that comfortable to lie on but you get used to it and it has the advantage that sand doesn't get everywhere. The beach is small but is quiet and quite clean (apart from the cigarette butts which are everywhere). It looks out towards an industrial port on the other side of the bay but the water is perfectly clean nonetheless. The main beach is about 5-10 min walk away (take the road up behind the houses to avoid walking on the road with all the traffic). It is lined with bars and restaurant, all with music blaring out. Beach itself is nice and clean, views are beautiful and the water is crystal clear. There are various activities for kids - pedal boats, bouncy castle type areas in the water and lots of agencies selling day trips. Apparently, there are natural beaches on the other side of the island but we unfortunately never made there. Trogir is a beautiful little town, though very busy, of course, at that time of the year. The road in from the apartment is quite busy but there is a back road as well which is shorter. The walk takes about 20 minutes. In the evenings, there are lots of restaurants to try out at the main beach but we liked the one just down at the beach near the apartment, Mediterraneo I think it was called. It's terrace overlooked the water, the food was good and the staff were very friendly. I'm giving the rental 3 stars rather than 4 because although the apartment itself is beautiful, I would have preferred a quieter area. One tip - the apartment is quite hard to find, up a steep hill with no sign so contact the owner in advance to get detailed driving directions.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This is truly a great apartment with a large beautiful garden, all in all perfect for family holidays. We are a family of 4 (two adults, two kids) and we were very happy with our stay. The apartment was absolutely accurate for us, spacious, clean and with all the necessary facilities. The garden is well maintained and provides privacy if the visitors wish to relax on the available sunbeds, or to grill and eat al fresco. Two dining tables and chairs are provided outside to the visitors, one right next to the grill and the other one on the terrace right in front of the apartment. The owners are a very nice and helpful couple who were always available when we needed something. They live in a flat above the rented apartment, but did not interfere with us and ensured we had our own privacy. Trogir and Ciovo island is a very busy place with many bars and restaurants right on the beach, open till late.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We found Apartment Sarah very comfortable and well located. The garden is beautiful and cool with fragrant shrubs and fruit trees. A real haven from the hurly burly of the traffic getting to the island. The apartment is no distance from the sea and whilst the beach is man made and rather small it is a great place to go for a swim. We ate with the family one evening which was a real highlight. Thank you Patricia for such a happy visit.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We had absolutely fantastic one-week stay in Apartment Sarah. We are a big family, 4 adults and 3 children, and the 2-bedroom apartment had enough space for all of us (children slept on the leather futons in the living room, both can be unfolded). Air conditioner was a life savior in July, beds were comfortable and the shower in the bathroom was really powerful. I have to say I adore the style and all the bright juicy colors of these apartments, especially in the kitchen and the bathroom (Patricia, please add a photo of your beautiful red/white bathroom, my kids were impressed and loved it!). These colors just rise your spirits from the early morning and make you a little happier. The apartments have everything you may need, I mean absolutely everything, they are spotless clean and very well equipped. We got used to eat on the big terrace surrounded by the beautiful garden, we also spent there every evening with a bottle of Croatian wine and a goat cheese :))). These was a really relaxing atmosphere in the house and overall a very pleasant stay. Not far there's a great restaurant (try grilled fish). The sea was calm and oh so clear (we visited several beaches on Ciovo and enjoyed all of them). Trogir is wonderful ancient town, perfect for exploring and just beautiful. The owners, Patricia and Zlatko, are very nice people who make you feel hearty welcome. We were so pleased to meet you, thank you so much for a wonderful holiday! Patricia, your cookies are to die for! :))) I would totally recommend these one-of-a-kind, full of character apartments for your next holiday in Croatia.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We stayed at that apartments on August and September 2012 for 1 month: 3 adults and 1 year old baby. Perfect place to spend even all summer! Very quite and cosy apartments equipped by everything you need for everyday live and decorated in high style and manner. Apartments are very well maintained and clean. Owners will meet you with high hospitality and will try to make your stay very comfortable and unforgettable. Very nice garden with olive, tangerine and fig trees where you can enjoy very picturesque sea view for all day. 2 beautiful beaches (one in pine grove) only 2 minutes walk from the house, a lot of restaurants and shops around, nice sea promenade in 8 minutes walk and convenient access to Trogir (15 minutes by foot or same time by boat). Trogir is very lovely ancient town where all sea, travel, night live activities can be provided. We would highly recommend to choose these apartments for your next stay in Trogir!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Family run, owners very friendly and helpful. The apartment had a beautiful garden with useful terrace for eating out. The apartment is decorated in various bright colours which took a bit of getting used to but the rooms were all a good size. We hadn't read the details of the kitchen facilities very carefully and were surprised that there wasn't any running hot water in the kitchen, oven or any clothes washing facilities. The host family were very kind and washed a lot of clothes for us. The location was a lot busier than our previous week on Brac. The only road linking the mainland and Ciovo is very busy most of the time and the walk into Trogir is along this road. We really enjoyed Trogir but didn't enjoy the walk there and back very much. There is a really nice beach near the apartment around the perimeter of a camping site where there is also a beach restaurant and creperie stand. On the last evening we discovered that there are pool tables and other kid friendly facilities at the campsite. The beaches on the south side of the island were worth visiting. The view from the nearest beach to the apartment had unfortunate views of the ship yard across the bay. While this didn't seem to affect the water quality it's not what you want to be looking at when you are relaxing on the beach. The beaches to the northwest of the apartment are very commercialised with restaurant, bars, boat hire, water sports. The owners noticed that it was my wife's birthday while we were staying and left a card, flowers and present of local cakes on the table on the terrace. Very nice of them and made us feel very much at home. Very useful having an internet connection.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Dear Patricia, It was such a pleasure to meet you and your family. I have done nothing but praise your house, you and your family and Croatia since I got back. The location is excellent - a quitet spot located just a 15 minutes' walk from the old town. The beach is very close to the house. The rooms were all clean and reasonably large. The beds were comfortable and the air-conditioning was faultless but not necessary. The bathrooms were small but functional and the showers were powerful. Highly recommended. We look forward to meeting you all again when we return. It was a lovely holidays and one we will never forget.
