My accommodation for four people is suitable for couples, groups of friends, families, those traveling to visit Rome and surroundings or for work. small animals are allowed. It 'an apartment in a villa surrounded by greenery with private entrance, completely renovated, reserved parking space and use of the pool to refresh themselves on return from visits and excursions and to endure the summer heat. The apartment is served by wifi and fireplace air conditioning, living area with kitchenette, two bedrooms for four beds, two bathrooms, private parking, small gym, garden and outdoor pool available in June, July, August and September. The area is quiet, in the hills of the Roman countryside but it is also very well connected, in the middle of a triangle between Rome and the Castelli Romani. It is very easy and practical to reach the center of Rome in 25 minutes by train from the nearby station, but it is also easy and pleasant to visit the surroundings, such as the lakes area of Albano and Nemi, the Ninfa Park, the Archaeological Sites of Villa Adriana in Tivoli and Ostia Antica, ancient villages such as Castelgandolfo, Sermoneta, San Felice Circeo, Nettuno and Sperlonga. For shopping and entertainment, Cinecittà World, the Castel Romano Outlet, is 15 minutes away by car. About a kilometer is the baker, a small supermarket and a bar for a good breakfast. At about four kilometers there is a large shopping center. In the nearby town of Aprilia there is the railway station where with the train in 25 min you arrive at the Termini station in the center of Rome. In the nearby town of Aprilia there are all the services and many shops and supermarkets. A few kilometers away there is a golf course. It is necessary that the guests arrive with their own car. in the apartment they will find sheets, towels, utensils for the kitchen, some food in the pantry and some drinks in the fridge.
Our host was so kind and thoughtful and even though we were very late arriving she welcomed us and got us settled. The unit was perfect! The pool was lovely and the view/grounds was incredible. If you choose to explore the property they have a horse and chickens and kitties and a lovely dog to greet you. Comfortable, clean, lots of things close by but in the country quiet. I can’t say enough good about our stay, wish it could have been longer.
Very nice, clean and quit location. The pool was very welcome to relax from our daily trips to Rome, we had it for ourselves. From the nearby train station (Pomezia) we were in Roma termini in 20 Minutes (2,10€ per person). The location was a small oasis in a very dried surrounding (over 35 degrees and no rain since weeks). Cincia was a very nice and helpfull host. We can recommend this location very much.
We had a lovely week at this property, which is situated in the countryside, but only a 10 minute drive from the railway station at Aprilia from where it is a 30 minute train journey to Rome Termini station. There is also a large hypermarket and shopping centre in Aprilia. The property was spacious and the air conditioning helped keep the inside temperature cool enough to sleep at night! There are a few small lets within the overall property, with a large garden area and a good sized shared pool. Ideal to cool off after a long hot day sightseeing in Rome. Cinzia was attentive and responded quickly to any enquiries. The location was also good for visiting areas outside of Rome, such as Tivoli, Castle Gandolfo, or heading for the coast at Anzio, Nettuno or Ostia. We would definitely recommend this as a base to explore both Rome and the outlying areas, which offers some tranquillity away from the busy city
My husband, myself and our two teenage children (15 and 17) have just come back from our 9 day stay at this beautiful property. Situated literarily in the middle of no-where, the apartment provides peace and quiet. The place itself is beautiful - the apartment is tastefully furnished, beds comfortable and the living area including the kitchen is well equipped with anything you would need. The pool is clean and it was a wonderful place for us to laze around after or before a day out or just to chill there for the whole day. The apartment is also conveniently positioned for days out by car or by train. The nearest station is Aprilia which is 15 minutes away by car. It takes 35 min on the train to get to Rome and costs €3 one way for an adult. The place is well positioned for seeing other beauty spots and places of interest too. We went to Castel Gandolfo in the hills, saw the ancient port of Ostia and frequented many beautiful beaches (I particularly recommend beaches on the outskirts of Sabaudia, but beaches outside of Ostia are not bad either). There is an amazing little bar nearby which does wonderful coffee and pastries, as well as food throughout the day (remember to ask for CAFFE Latte when ordering your coffee, not just LATTE, which we did and ended up with a cup of frothed up milk :) The bar is in the same building as Farmacia San Giuseppe Di Giocondo Dr. Marcon (can't remember the bar's name). Cinzia, the owner of the property, is the sweetest lady who can't do enough for you. She made us feel very welcome. I would love to go there again.
We have just come back from two weeks at this villa. We were blessed by lovely weather so got plenty of opportunity to use the pool and surrounding area. You need a car to be able to get around as in a rural location. Villa was well equipped and maintained and in beautiful grounds in the hills close to Rome. I can still smell the jasmine and honeysuckle and see the wild flowers along the roadside. There was a friendly cafe less than 10 mins drive away for a coffee and croissant and close to a small supermarket. Larger shops were accessible in less than 30 mins drive. There were two local train stations giving easy access to Rome. We used to drive to Campeleone giving us access to Rome in approx 25 mins at cost of approx €5 return. Metro travel was cheap and you could buy a days unlimitted access using metro and buses for€7 if you didn't want to walk far in Rome. Villa provided quiet and relaxation after busy sight seeing trips in Rome and the surrounding area. We had a great day at historical Ostia Antica and Lago Albano with its volcanic ash waterside and clear lake water. We preferred to use the villa pool but beaches at Anzio and Nettuna were less than an hours drive away and provided restaurant opportunities and a walk along the beach. The owner, Cinzia couldn't have been nicer or more helpful ensuring we had everything we needed and giving helpful tips of how to get to places. She even arranged a mid holiday clean at no extra cost. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, giving us some quality family time together.
A great time was had by the whole family in the lovely rural holiday villa in the Roman countryside. The villa was very well equipped and a real home from home. The pool and gardens are a fantastic area to laze away the days. Cinzia the owner is fantastic and cannot do enough for you. Good transport links nearby at Aprillia. If you want a Peacefull holiday away from it all but close enough for days out in Rome and the Lazio coast this is the place for you.
The accommodation and pool were one of the best we've ever stayed at. It was easy to reach from Rome Ciampino airport and the property is set in a peaceful location which is great if you are looking for a quiet, relaxing holiday. The accommodation is clean, the beds are comfortable and the villa is fully equipped with everything you would need. The gardens and the pool are beautifully kept and we felt like royalty to have such a lovely pool all to ourselves!! The location is perfect if you want to combine a few days visiting Rome. Aprillia train station is only 15 minutes drive where you can take the train into the main Rome terminal (only takes 30 minutes) with a combined rail/metro/bus ticket for only 9 euros We purchased these tickets from the tobacconist next to the station. The beaches are very busy ......mainly all of them are private so you have to hire sun beds/umbrellas. The public beaches are limited and tend to be dirty. However if you want a change from the pool then we enjoyed the beautiful scenery at Lake Albano close to Castel Gandolfo. The clear blue water is fabulous to swim in and the children enjoyed hiring a pedalo there. The Lake is only a 30 minute drive. Due to the location, it is essential that you have a car to reach restaurants/bars/shops etc - this is a holiday for 'getting away' from it all. We have to mention the owner who is the loveliest and most welcoming host. She was so helpful with suggestions for days out and was always concerned that we had everything we needed. She treated us like her family and we valued her kindness. Thank you! Fiona
