Apartment for 4 persons (90 m²) in Monschau near Hohes Venn

A good destination , very kind family.

We loved our stay at this property! It was very clean and spacious, with easy access to Monschau and multiple hiking trails. The hosts were also very gracious, sharing fresh eggs from their chickens and helping us use their barbecue. Finally, the kitchen was well stocked with all the tools we needed for making meals. I would absolutely recommend this property for anyone who was looking to visit this area!

We enjoyed the house and the environment very much. Perfect location for walking in the nature and to visit the beautiful village Monchau. The house was clean, spacious and all the necessities for cooking were present. The owners were very friendly, even left us a welcome gift and fresh eggs from the farm on the day of arrival.

We spent a long weekend, 4 days, 3 nights but it could have been much longer. The location was superb, it was perfect. Particularly suitable for walking or going to Monschau. The children loved the farm, the horses, the play options and the turtle. the owners were very friendly and the apartment was large, we lacked nothing.

A place where you feel very welcome! Located on the first floor of a farmhouse, the apartment is spotless and cosy. Very complete as well. Our son liked the playground and animals a lot (stables with horses, the chickens and cows). Beautiful Monschau is nearby, and can even be reached by walking down via the Eifelsteig. This walkway passes right along the house, so it’s a perfect place for hikers/runners as well. Highly recommended.

We had a great stay in this appartment. The Koch family is very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Upon arrival as a welcome gift we found chocolates and fresh eggs from their own chickens. The appartment is very clean, spacious, with a modern country-style interior, and has a fully equiped kitchen. We stayed there with two adults and two kids and found everything we needed. Our kids (3, 5 years old) loved to have a look at the chickens at the back of the house, every day! On the farm you can also find horses and cows. The appartment is situated in Mutzenich, and in front of the house you can find the hiking trail Eifelsteig, which will take you to Monschau. With our 3 year old we didn’t make it all the way, but it is a very nice walk. Luckily it’s also in close driving distance (10 min) to the picturesque citycenter of Monschau, which us definitely worth a visit! Other things to do in the area include a visit to Aachen, and the beautiful nature of both the Hohes Venn (Lots of possible hiking trails, from a few km up to quite long trips) and the Eifel National Park. We would definitely recommend this place and wouldn’t mind coming back some day!
