Apartment/ flat - GhiffaHouse with garden

If you look for a place to stay far away from the noise of overcrowded camping gounds, Mario´s and Lucia´s wonderful house is the right place for you. The apartment is equipped with everything you need and is surrounded by a nice garden from which you can see the lake. Stresa and Verbania can easily be reached by car and there is a smaller nature reserve in walking distance from the house. Make sure to try some of the pastries in the nearby bakery. If you travel with younger kids there are some toys for them in the apartment as well as a travel bed, a high chair and a bed rail.

We had a great week and we enjoyed our stay very much. The appartment was perfect with everything you need. The owner are very very friendly and helpfull. We can recommend the apartment highly. And the region of course is really beautiful.

Nice, comfortable ground-floor apartment with garden owned by a friendly and helpful family who live on the floor above. The location is really excellent. The most interesting part of Lake Maggiore is from Stresa in the south to Locarno in the north. It''s in the middle of that stretch, and also well-placed for visiting Lake Orta, Lake Mergozzo and for taking the car ferry from Intra to the east side of the lake. These places are much less visited than the famous spots on the western shore of Maggiore, but are no less beautiful.

We realy enjoyed our stay. A very cosy appartment, well equiped, nice vieuw, beautiful surroundings, but above all very enthousiastic owners. If we were in that area again we gladly would rent the same appartment again.

We and our two young children had a wonderful stay in this house. We found the apartment very clean and quiet. The beds were very confortable and the 4 of us could sleep very well. We particularly enjoyed the garden as the weather was still very nice. We found the owner to be very friendly & helpful. A car is a must to stay there as there is no other transports or shops around but plenty of convenient supermarkets are available in Verbania which is at a very short drive. Although we did not have a direct view over the lake, the house is located in a traditional hamlet, which was also very exotic to us.

Very Clean, No noise at the apartment, this made a pleasent contrast from the busy tourist centres visited during the day. Surroundings were lovely. We enjoyed the views of the mountains and lake. Access to the apartment was good. Above all, the owners, who lived above the apartment, were very welcoming and hospitable. They made it very clear that if there was anything we required we just had to ask. We felt totally at ease and under no pressure or obligations. We missed the facility of a dishwasher, but this was not advertised and therefore not expected. Local information leaflets including a very comprehensive walking map collection of the whole area, these were very useful. A list of Local Market dates and times for local towns would have been beneficial. The bed was firmer than we are use to at home but that is a matter of choice and did not worry us as we all slept well following our very full and enjoyable days. We are a family of four and all enoyed our stay. A Holiday we will always remember.

We had a really wonderful stay at this apartment - we have two very young children so the size etc was perfect. The location is really good, about 4km from Vergania - one of the biggest (and nicest) towns on the lake with nice views. The owners are extremely friendly and made us feel very welcome (and particularly our 2yr old who just loved the dog and picking fruit!) It really helps that the owners are from the region, have been in in the tourist business and are genuinely interested and interesting in making your stay comfortable. Many thanks!
