We didn't get to stay because there was no power, or hot water in the entire property and surrounding area. Unfortunately we were only told 10 minutes before we were due to arrive, and instead of cancelling the booking so we automatically received a full refund, we were repeatedly told to claim through our insurance! Even when Vrbo told them to cancel the booking to initiate a refund, they refused and just sent a screenshot of an AI response to whether or not natural disaster was covered by travel insurance! It was only when I formally complained and said that I was going to escalate it that they reluctantly agreed to cancel and refund which is something they should have done immediately upon informing us the property was not habitable due to the power outage. The power outage cannot be helped, their response to it and communication with guests can!

Fantastic hotel, fantastic location, fantastic facilities, it really was faultless. A gem of a find.

Lovely setting. The apartment was good. I do wish the sofa covers were cleaned. Cloth sofas need more upkeep. The air flow was also limited so some stale food smells. I would still recommend to others.

Although Fort Augustus has a lot of tourists, this place is peaceful on large grounds filled with birds and bunnies. No noise!

The unit was clean, spacious and well-equipped, but had a musty odor that we could not get rid of during our short (24 hour) stay - perhaps it had not been occupied for awhile. The Highland Club itself was underwhelming - the hallways/stairways were quite shabby and smelled of mold. Also, note that you cannot pay for this property through VRBO but will be asked to pay a 'third-party partner' directly. I worried it was a scam, but apparently it's legitimate and has VRBO's blessing.

Apartment was nice and clean. Location is great with a lot in walking distance. Beautiful grounds and Abbey. Please be aware that 1st floor is actually up several sets of stairs in an apartment attached to the Abbey and no elevators. Washer/Dryer all-in-one takes hours for a small load. Overall a nice stay once you got all your stuff up the stairs.

The apartment is a great choice for those looking for modern conveniences—like newly renovated bathrooms and kitchen. In the new Raven’s wing. Close to town. Really enjoyed the visit %

While we were only here for two nights and away for most of each day exploring near by castles, the kids loved the 'Hogwarts' type experience and venturing out onto the grounds. We ate at the Boathouse which served up a nice dinner for the family and also grabbed breakfast at Cobbs Cafe, which allowed for a nice view of the Fort Augustus Locks. One of our kids enjoyed the pool, briefly; as you have to book a time slot (only one available ). The washer/dryer combo was cumbersome to use and seemed to take longer than usual, but could have been user error, as we are use to larger machines. Video collection was a huge hit with our kids. Beds were comfortable and the showers were great! Overall, it was a pleasant experience in Fort Augustus.

The property was beautiful. Loved the boathouse and the grounds. Close to shop. The only thing i would have appreciated would have been later hours on the sauna and pool. The town and grounds were so beautiful and with it staying light late we just weren't ready to hit the sauna by 7 pm.
