An Ocean View Penthouse Apartment on Hollywood Beach

Great communication from the host..Great view..very clean and cozy for two.. beach chairs and towels were provided..great for a getaway or a staycation. Wifi connectivity was the only issue. Would definitely recommend to anyone 9.5/10

Extremely satisfied with our condo. Full kitchen and ocean view for the price. You can’t beat anywhere else.If you’re looking for a quieter, more mellow beach experience, this is the place. The balcony view is spectacular! If you want to go to the boardwalk, you will have to Uber, but thats a small price to pay.

We came in late and still found the check in process easy. Property was clean and matched the description and pictures. This is not the newest building you could stay in but was a great value for the cost.

We were very happy with our stay. The room was very clean and seemed to have everything we needed.Our balcony overlooked the ocean. The pool was wonderful. We would stay there again.

Parking was easy and check-in was seamless. Nice location and the view was as pictured. Could use some more toiletries such as toilet paper and paper towels for the timeframe we were there but otherwise then that all was good.

Stay was good. Some more basic amenities would have been nice, so we bought some and left them there. We only had contact via text with the prop mgr's asst. but never saw him face to face. We just had to figure out some stuff ourselves. The place has a lot of rules and express them all almost in threat form. You were reminded frequently of the rules and the fines involved.

Prior to trip, I tried to contact Vivian via 2 phone calls & 5 messages through VRBO, she never responded. I heard from her the day before to give me her assistant's info but she didn't acknowledge my prior messages.Check in was confusing & the staff we encountered were not very friendly or helpful.Pool was under maintenance. Each day I was told it would open. Never did. As for the apartment: black hairs in the shower, kitchen trash lid was filthy & mold around the kitchen sink. It would have been nice to have information about the facilities & the area in the apartment to review. The listing says there are beach towels. However, the only “beach towels” were two red bath towels. There were 2 beach chairs in the closet but at first glance they looked old & moldy so we didn’t even get them out. I texted the assistant about chairs. He said we could rent chairs at the beach for 15. When I inquired about them on the beach I was told they were 20. I passed this info on to Vivian's assistant. He said to get them for 15 we had to go through him. However, he never mentioned this to me in our original correspondence. The living room furniture is a futon couch and 2 side chairs, VERY uncomfortable - no padding. We had to use pillows.The view is nice from the balcony however it doesn’t get sun for very long. Pricing on the listing is outdated. It shows the parking pass as 50/week & tag 20 but parking was 100 and tag was 30. My husband and I do NOT recommend.

The condo was immaculate, the view was breathtaking. The condo workers were wonderful all around and very helpful. Vivian and Stan were great to deal with for the entire duration of our stay and for the check in process and checking out. The kitchen has everything you need and more and the bed was very comfortable. We will be coming back to stay with Vivian again every time we visit Florida!!Thank you for such a great experience. Highly recommend to everyone!

Nice place we loved our stay

Check in process was not difficult I was a bit worried as some reviews expressed confusion for check in but my partner and I had no difficulty. Hosts were great and quick communicators! Location was perfect. Publix and Walmart were 8 minute walks. A great Italian restaurant across the street ! Beach was right there too! Overall had a great experience and loved our calm vacation.

Outstanding location everything was beautiful very clean exactly what the picture showed of the apartment. The owner was very helpful. Went out of his way to make sure we had a perfect day.

Very clean, kitchen has everything for cooking, beach chairs & towels. Overall very nice. However, the bathroom and kitchen could use a little painting.

Enjoyed our stay immensely. Grocery store and restaurants nearby. Used the included chairs and umbrellas on the beach. Perfect weather.

This condo has a nice contemporary design, a comfortable bed, good water pressure in the shower, it's on a quiet upper-level floor near the elevators, and has a truly spectacular view of the ocean from the balcony. The owner was quick to respond to my messages and handled a TV problem efficiently for me. This is in the Tides condominium complex in Hollywood, Florida, close to many restaurants and shopping, but you will need a car or will rely on ride sharing quite a bit. As mentioned for the listing, there is a 100 parking fee for 5-7 days, 30 fee for the key fob needed to unlock all the doors in the building (which is a good security plan), and a 20 refundable fee for the parking hang tag for your car. The check-in process is difficult, as you need to park your vehicle somewhere in order to go inside to get your parking decal to enter the parking lot, but there are no parking signs posted everywhere near the building's entrance. Fortunately, a kind valet allowed me to park illegally near the door long enough to get the parking hang tag.I would rent this unit again in the future if re-visiting this area of Florida.

Overall the stay was very nice. Good location, great view. The condo it self could do with a little more comfortable chairs/couches, but overall it was fine. Doing check in was a little bit confusing but overall it worked out. I would recommend this condo to other people traveling or staying in the Fort Lauderdale area.

We enjoyed our stay, loved the balcony looking out to the oceanOnly one negative…the bedroom window fell on my finger (when I raised it to open it, it slammed right back down) my finger luckily was just bruised but if it’s not fixed it could really injure someone.I say this just to make you aware.

Condo was clean and able to accommodate my family very well. Relaxing stay. The owner was very responsive and courteous. Will definitely consider this place again without hesitation.

The view was everything!!! The room provided all necessities and was clean. The building is VERY secure and staff was friendly. I will stay here again if I return to the area and i would recommend to others. I would have given a 5 star rating but the pullout was not comfortable even with the extra padding and the linens were not freshly cleaned and had to get our own washcloths.
