Stayed Oct 22, 2023Everything you need in a cosy compact flat. Lovely decor, great location for walks, centre of Paimpol, shops and the sea (not a beach). Very quiet too. Loved it. Will go again.

Stayed Sep 10, 2019Paimpol has changed somewhat over the last 20 years but it is still a good place for a short break. The Loft could not be better situated, 5 minutes walk to the nearest boulangerie, even less to one of the most welcoming restaurants in town and the GR34 goes past the front door. All of the accommodation is on the first floor and the only 'caveat' - which we knew from the website - is that the stairs are very steep.

Stayed Sep 7, 2018My boyfriend and I stayed in this really beautiful apartment for 12 nights and we had the most amazing holidays. The place smelled fresh, it was very clean, light-flooded and well equipped. Tania welcomed us very friendly, she was open to any questions and contacting her via SMS was easy and responses were quickly. The house lies right next to the ocean, which makes the area very calm and it only takes you 5 minutes to walk to the colorful harbor. The locals were friendly and we felt so comfortable and good throughout the whole trip. In Paimpol you find really nice shops, bakeries and on Tuesdays there is a lovely market. We also really enjoyed different restaurants and creperies. It also only takes you 5 minutes to drive to a bigger supermarket (carrefour). Paimpol is also an amazing place to stay, because it is possible to visit other cities around Paimpol. We made trips to St. Brieuc, Rennes, Perros-Guirec (amazing hike!) and St. Malo (Rotheneuf). Right next to the house starts a hiking trail, which is also worth mentioning and has ocean view. It takes a 15 minute drive to visit the beautiful sandy beach Brehec Plage. The water was wonderful for a swim and to search for scallop shells. In addition I would highly recommend to visit the Abbaye De Beauport in Paimpol. The ruins of the abbey are stunning, overgrown with beautiful flowers and therefore really photogenic. I hope I could explain well enough how Paimpol impressed us and how many things there are to be explored!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Paimpol. The harbor town is very authentic with a few bars and restaurants (we enjoyed L'Ecluse very much), some good local retailers and an intriguing countryside. Plus, Paimpol is an excellent base for exploring the whole north of Brittany, from St. Malo in the East to Cap Crozen in the West. The apartment is located in the harbour area adjacent to an upmarket residential area. You enjoy proximity to the fishing cutters and the craftman shops and at the same time endulge in the quite and relaxing surroundings of the pretty and well maintained houses around you. The apartment is on the first floor of a carefully converted warehouse (at least it looks like this) and impresses through its clever and thought-through arrangement. There is good space for two adults and a small child, but not much more! The flat is located under the roof and opening one of the rooftop windows will give you a nice view over a flowerish backgarden onto the sea. The apartment is neat and tidy, cosy, the kitchen is fully equipped and the furnishing has style and elegance. Landlady Tania is both very friendly and helpful but at the same time easy-going and discreet. The flat definitely has great character and can be recommended to everyone who loves the sea, the harbour and an authentic lifestyle.
