Bob and Rita's guest house is a true gem! From the oh so easy keyless entry system to the immaculate cleanliness of the rooms and floors, from the comfort of the beds/mattress to the absolute quiet of the house, from the thoughtful layout of the furniture detail to the abundant kitchen supply it was a pleasure to experience and to spend time in. Highly recommend!
This is a great rental. The apartment was spotless, we had plenty of space for the three of us, and it was an easy walk to everything we needed. We would definitely stay there again.
Fully equipped with everything! Place was immaculate. Getting around on transit system location was not as close to property as expected but we ubered to the station and it was ok. Inside property was precisely as described. Yes, would stay there again
Great place in Arlington. this place is totally ready for your stay. Highly Recommend.
We were very pleased with our Amsden Place stay. Apartment is very clean, everything you need is provided and the owners were easy to work with. Check in and check out is very simple. We loved the location, close to so much and the neighborhood was safe and quiet. It is a plus being so close to buses and the subway as it made getting in and out of Boston very convenient. Another plus was having a place to park, which is not easy to find in the Boston area. We would definitely stay here again when we return to this area.
This impeccably maintained first level of an Arlington double-decker is also ideally located just off Mass Ave and near the Alewife Red Line station. We found it easy to get everywhere. Since we were schlepping field hockey goalie gear all around, we were very happy the property also came with that unicorn among Boston-area rentals: a parking spot. As for overall space, the pictures in the listing do not lie--there was plenty of room for us (the parents), our daughter, and her field-hockey teammate. We loved having the dining room for work, the living room (with surround sound!) for movies, and the eat-in kitchen, not to mention several excellent neighborhood eateries nearby. It was a wonderful and comfy stay. I'd love to come back.
I stayed here with my wife and oldest child for the Boston Marathon and some college visits in mid-April. The house is charming and well-appointed, convenient to transit, and in a lovely neighborhood. Bob and Rita were very accommodating, and I would definitely stay there again. We chose Amsden Place because it was relatively close to the MBTA red line, looked nice and spacious, and was well-priced. The rental property is the first floor of a duplex in East Arlington, and is a pleasant less-than-a-mile walk from the Alewife T station. The street is quiet, the houses are charming, and there is a small section of shops and restaurants on the main thoroughfare just a few minutes' walk from the house. We got the door entry code from Bob the morning of the day we checked in, and they left the light on for us since we arrived at night. We found some snacks and beverages waiting for us when we arrived. The house itself is well cared for with plenty of room for the 3 of us--a living room with entertainment cabinet/cable TV/etc., two bedrooms, a dining room, an eat-in kitchen which included a clothes washer (and a drying rack, though no dryer), and a bathroom. Although we didn't use them, there were also selections of games and books. The house had all the supplies one would want in a functional kitchen, which was important to us since we cooked several meals in the house to keep trip costs down somewhat. Helpfully, the kitchen cupboards were all labeled so that it was easy to find everything we needed without hunting. During our stay, there was a brief scheduled power outage, and Rita came down (Bob and Rita live upstairs) to let us know; she was very friendly. For checkout, all they asked us to do was to lock the front door (I've been to other VRBOs that leave the tenants long laundry lists to take care of before departing). All-in-all, it was a very convenient and homey place to stay, and if we return to the area we would definitely consider staying there again.
We could not have been more pleased with Amsden Place during a recent weekend stay. It was wonderfully quiet and very, very comfortable. The owners had thought carefully about every detail for their guests' well-being: morning breakfast items (cereal, oatmeal), first-aid kit, cabinets and drawers labeled so we did not have to rummage around, brochures for nearby attractions set up for our perusal, plenty of blankets and towels. The apartment was spotlessly, perfectly clean. It has one bathroom as advertised, which was not a problem for our party of three. We loved our stay at Amsden Place and would be very happy to stay here again.
Great location, caring hosts and an at home feeling...truly enjoyed our visit and look forward to our next stay. These hosts are really on top of their game...
The location could not be better if you need easy access to Cambridge. Convenient access to US 3 highway as well. Approx. 20 min drive from the airport. Public transportation stops are right around the corner, 5 min walk to Arlington shopping and restaurants area. The apartment is cozy and clean. The owners care about their guests, you can find anything you need and more in the apartment. High speed free wi-fi network, parking space next to the entrance. The owners are very nice intelligent people, the best landlords I ever had.
