The Podere Ranciano Alto farmhouse is located a few kilometers from Lake Trasimeno. Here tourists can spend the day along the shores of the lake where you can swim, sunbathe or fish, or go by ferry to discover theislands of the Trasimeno: visits to Isola Polvese and Isola maggiore will allow you to see both magnificent natural landscapes that artistic monuments.
Castiglione del lago at 4Km from the farmhouse is a country rich in history and culture which is part of the most beautiful villages in Italy. Walking through the alleys of this ancient village you can admire Palazzo della Corgna dating back to the mid-1500s and the magnificent medieval fortress with the Pentagonal-shaped Lion Castle built in 1247. Castiglione del Lago organizes numerous cultural and recreational events among which we can remember the Tulip Festival in April where the allegorical floats made with tulip petals, the Spring Meeting, Coloriamo I cieli, Trasimeno Blues and the Night parade along with the historical parades Bianca.
