Stayed Jan 1, 1This is the second time we have stayed at the Cottages, and we love them! The location within the village and on the grounds of the Castle make it a memorable stay.

Stayed Jan 1, 1We had a lovely stay, as usual in this charming accommodation. Its our 4th time staying here. We did find this year, that the property needed a little attention. Flaking paint on exterior and there were cobwebs everywhere. One of the rooms had mould on the ceiling. Nothing that a little love won't fix, just noticed it wasn't so perfect this year. Did not spoil our stay, and we would be happy to return again next year.

Stayed Jan 1, 1The location of the house was perfect as a base for seeing the best of the Cotswolds. We really enjoyed our visit to the castle and our trips out to all of the big ticket Cotswold attractions. The house was perfect for our stay and everything was just right. Definitely somewhere we would look to stay next time we visit the area.

Stayed Jan 1, 1The Cottage was a bit tired and in need of a deep clean and decorating, apart from the kitchen which was nice and well equipped. Good welcome starter packs.

Stayed Jan 1, 1This is our second stay at George III and it is always a pleasure. We attend an event at the castle so location is great, just a few minutes walk, and the same into the village. The cottage is very clean and well appointed for our long weekend. The welcome pack always great after long drive. Access and parking are very convenient. There is a lack of hanging space in bedrooms due to the eves, but this is really not an issue for long weekend.

Stayed Jan 1, 1We really enjoyed our stay at George III cottage. It had all the conveniences one would require for a longer stay. The bedrooms could get warm, but opening the windows allowed enough air flow to sleep comfortably. Would definitely consider staying again in any future visit to the area.

Stayed Jan 1, 1Very quiet and peaceful location. We had the dog so having the Public Footpath alongside was excellent with the Castle fields. Winchcombe ideal for various Cotswold villages. Cottage was well appointed and comfortable.

Stayed Jan 1, 1Really enjoyed it. Just a couple of things to improve, noticed mainly as we were there to accompany the party in another cottage. Archers I think. Surprised that no handrail on stairs in Archers. Only one shower mat so had to give them ours. The tumble dryer in our cottage just didn't work. on leaving we were told by member of cleaning team that we had to empty rubbish bins which seems a bit off (we had done the recyclilng). Other than that, all great. Thank you. Linda

Stayed Apr 28, 2025The positives of the stay was that the location of the cottage is perfect, as somebody that lived in Winchcombe for 15 years, it is perfectly situated to see the best of winchcombe and the surrounding area. However the accommodation itself is extremely tired, it is in my view extremely expensive for what you get. It needs a lick of paint and refurbishing (particularly the bathroom) to do the location justice

Stayed Jan 1, 1This was our third stay at Winchcombe and as before it was comfortable and relaxing in pleasant surroundings. The cottage is very well equipped plus a welcome tray and toiletries . Plenty of towels and tea towels provided. Conveniently sited for easy walk into Winchcombe which has a good choice of places to eat. We will definitely stay again. Although still comfortable the cottage does look a bit tired with chipped paintwork and a shower cubicle that needs a bit of TLC. A good ‘spring clean’ would go a long way to rectify this.

Stayed Jan 1, 1A very well equipped cottage. A little smaller than looks on the website though. In convenient position for town amenities & country walks on doorstep.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Good quality accommodation apart from ceiling height in bedrooms. Felt layout could have been improved to minimise “impact” of angled ceiling under the eaves.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969The Cottages are in a great location - just off the High Street, with plenty of small local shops, places to explore on foot and lots of lovely walks. We arrived in the dark the Sign for Sudeley Castle cottages would benefit from being lit - once on site the cottage was easy to find. It was light spacious and well equipped and very dog friendly. The tap in the bathroom sink dripped constantly and there appeared puddles with no explanation a couple of times on the bathroom floor - need to watch your head when opening and drawing blinds in bedroom windows! It was a lovely stay and would highly recommend to friends.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We were attending an event at Sudeley castle , the cottage is really convenient to walk to both the castle and the town. It was very clean with all we needed for it long weekend. And the inside and outside seating great for chilling out after a long day. Have booked again for the same event next year.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969George III at Sudeley Castle is a cosy, well appointed cottage. There is plenty of room for four adults downstairs both for relaxing and eating. The patio area is spacious although the gate doesn’t shut and our pooch did escape. Upstairs is a different matter. The supposedly double bedroom next to the bathroom is so small we couldn’t even get our suitcase in. With no wardrobe or hanging space at all we had to use the second bedroom which although more spacious had beams so low it is impossible to stand up. Mind your head - it got me several times!
