Stayed May 3, 2025A very attractive, clean and well-equipped apartment which frames stunning views over Carbis Bay. The beach is a very short (steep) walk away, St Ives is about 35 mins walk via a very scenic stretch of the South West Coastal Path and the Carbis Bay train station is even nearer than the beach if you want to go further afield (e.g St Michael's Mount from Penzance). Tate St Ives and the Barbara Hepworth Museum are wonderful for art lovers. I visited in early May when it wasn't too busy and had sunshine and blue skies every day.

Stayed Mar 25, 2023This appartment is one of the best we ever stayed in! Perfectly eqipped with everything you might need, a wonderful kitchen, the most comfortable bed, a quiet place and enough space for two and best of all: the stunning view! There even are really strong binoculars the watch boats or birds! As others pointed out , it is really steep terrain, also the outdoor steps leading to the landing, so you should be aware of that. But for us it was wonderful and we just loved it. Also a perfect location to visit the very far end of the country.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969I had a wonderful time at The View! It was a well proportioned and decorated apartment with all the amenities one would need. The views from the living area are simply beautiful! I will definitely book again!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We were disappointed that we had not been warned about the steepness of the apartment to the beach. When we read the reviews in the apartment itself, it was called cardiac hill, so we did not try it. We are in our 70s. The water is boiling hot and I was scalded on my right shoulder when in the shower for the first time. The burn lasted a good day. There is no helpful advice on how to operate the shower and there is no handrail to hold on to when getting in and out. Also, there is no shower mat to stop you from slipping. The view itself is lovely when it is not raining or misty which it was when we were there. The complimentary gift of Cornish goodies was a nice touch.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Apart from a flight of stairs for access which for us was difficult because our Shih tzu dog had to be carried. The pathway to the beach was difficult although for younger ages it would probably not be a problem. This meant any trip meant taking the car and leads me to the main problem for us which was the allocated parking - sideways on a very steep incline. As you can see from my ratings everything about the apartment was great and only spoiled by the parking and terrain. We assume we could have made more investigation into the location and access but that was probably our fault !

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Booked this last year after seeing it online and obviously it was cancelled and pushed on to this year. We arrived in St.Ives and down a little lane we found this collection of apartments, of which The View was one. Exterior steps lead up to the flat. On opening the door there is a small hall for your coats, shoes etc. It was light and airy with solid wood doors leading off the hall to the bedroom, bathroom and lounge/ diner. All solid wood floors and a lovely bright colour scheme make this apartment welcoming. The bedroom is calming and all windows in the apartment have shutters which gives it a new england feel. The bathroom has a drench shower which is perfect and then you look into the lounge and wow!! The kitchen has everything you need , absolutely everything. Again it has a new england feel and straight ahead the view from the french doors hits you! As you are up higher than the houses in front of you, you see Carbis bay in all of it's glory. You can see all of the coves in the distance like Porthkidney sands and Porthkidney. Various others that i can't name and you can watch the waves crashing into the rocks. You can see Godrevy lighthouse and watch the train below you snaking through the trees and disappearing into the tunnel. There is always something to see and it is ever-changing. There is a communal garden for the flats that you can sit in and enjoy the Peace. There are many different walks to Carbis bay, St. Ives, lelant and others. You can walk from the apartment past the communal garden and down into Carbis bay. It takes 10 minutes or so. The View was lovely to stay in, comfortable, warm and cosy, beautiful views and with everything you could ask for. There is a parking space that is marked out for you in the small car park. We loved it so much we are already booking for next year.
