A lovely flat in the countryside just at 2 Kms from Lucca

Had a wonderful stay at this apartment. The apartment has everything you need just next door to Lucca which is a really nice walk 10 minutes next to the viaduct.Really comfortable bed fantastic terrace for eating outside on the night time with an amazing sunset love this place and I would recommend it to the next family.Thank you Dario for our stay.

Dario and Genni are wonderful hosts. We loved living in their apartment in the authentic countryside among vegetable gardens, yet only a 10-minute walk via the viaduct to the Lucca city walls! Perfecto!

We really enjoyed staying at Genni & Dario’s apartment. It is an easy walk to the walled town of Lucca, has fabulous rural views from the balcony, is homely with helpful reading material, and we enjoyed it being cool inside when the days were hot. Our hosts explained everything to us when we arrived and we’re always available by phone or text. A great place to stay.

The hosts, Dario and Genni, are most welcoming and can give recommendations to assist you. There is a lovely view of an ancient Roman aqueduct from the terrace. Twenty minute walk to get inside the wall which was easy. Parking available at the residence. Very nice linens and comfortable bed. Good 2 bedroom flat. Very kind and welcoming host. Kitchen a little small if you intend to cook a lot (we were a family of 4). Second bedroom has a single bed.

We loved every minute staying here! Clean and comfortable with a lovely balcony and view. When it was too rainy to go into Lucca we received incredible hospitality from the local nearby bar next to the pizzeria! Easy to get to train station for our day trips to Florence and Pisa .Highly recommend!!

Lucca is fantastic! We’ve been coming back to this city for the last 12 years. The flat is as described on Home Away pages. It is perfectly located in a very nice and quiet area of Lucca. It contains everything you need for a few week stay. There is a nice pizzeria 5 minute walk and big supermarket 5 minute drive from the flat. It takes only 15 minutes to walk to the walls of Lucca and it’s very easy to get to the highway. It was a great pleasure to stay in this apartment and meet the owners Gennie and Dario. They were extremely nice and helpful. They even helped us with buying tickets for the Sting concert in Lucca! Thank you Gennie and Dario again for all your help and kindness! We strongly recommend this place and hope to be back there again.

My husband and I spent 3 weeks in this lovely flat. Genni and Dario met us at the appointed time and were beyond hospitable. They were most helpful with any questions we had and gave detailed instructions from the start. My sister in law was able to stay with us for a few days and Genni and Dario were most accommodating with regard to her visit. We enjoyed the perfect location to Lucca - very easy walk to the walled city which kept us from driving in the heavily trafficked areas - and the train station. We were able to train into Florence for a day and drive our car only 30 minutes for a day on the coast. We enjoyed an amazing time in Lucca and quickly fell in love with the area. After many trips to Tuscany, Lucca is the desired destination in which we will return. And we will again request to be guests of Genni and Dario. Amazingly beautiful people! Grazie mille.

This place is a gem. Very close (5-10 min walk) to the walled part of the city of Lucca and equally as close to the train station for access to many cities around Tuscany. 30 mins to Pisa, 20 mins from the coast of Viareggio, 1 hr by train to Florence, 1 hr to Cinque Terre, 1.5-2 hrs to Siena, 2.5 hrs from Rome. Basically you can use this as your jumping off point for a day trip. The apartment includes everything you need to make meals at home, has a nice balcony for relaxing and reading, has surprisingly fast internet, and also a clothes washer which is very convenient. It's a quiet and peaceful place to lay your head at night after a long day of sight seeing. Dario and Genni are a truly sweet and hospitable couple that are very helpful and prompt to answer any questions. We are so happy that we found this apartment and the wonderful city of Lucca and hope to be back soon.

It was a bit hard for me to decide on the final mark, as there are big advantages to this apartment: -quiet neighbourhood, -location is close to perfect, within walking distance from the centre and the train station, -the view is really enjoyable, there also is a dishwasher, a rarity in our Italian rentals so far. Still, the main downsides were: - missing ventilators upon arrival, which we did not notice and had to call for them to be supplied (it was done swiftly, but the first night was not best), - the shower, which curtain does not reach the floor (at least 15 cm gap) which makes it necessary to wipe the floor after taking the shower, and there is no mop, - kitchen utensils could use an upgrade, as there is one rather old pan, the only knife provided is serrated and cutlery is generally limited, not in line with the apartment advertisement un piatto delizioso.
