3F Vintage Graystone in Little Italy near loop UIC United Ct & McCormick Place

This was my first time staying at an apartment instead of a hotel, and I loved it. The rooms were nice and clean, and the neighborhood was nice as well. If i go back to Chicago, I will definitely be going here again.

We had an amazing stay at this 4-bedroom Vrbo in Chicago’s Little Italy! The home was tasteful and had a cozy common area perfect for our group to relax. Each bedroom was comfortable and well-appointed, and the kitchen had everything we needed for quick meals. There are a lot of stairs to get into the unit but not a problem for our group of retirees with luggage. The neighborhood was charming and walkable, with great restaurants and cafes nearby, and it was easy to get to the city’s top attractions via uber. The host was responsive and welcoming, making check-in a breeze. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Chicago!

This place is a true gem. Tucked into a quiet pocket of Little Italy, it is surrounded by great spots all within walking distance. We originally chose it for its proximity to the United Center, but getting downtown was just as easy with a quick Metra ride or even a longer walk if you are up for it.John was fantastic to work with, very clear, responsive, and easygoing throughout. The flat itself was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully stocked with everything you might need and more.One thing to keep in mind is the stairs. They are steep and narrow, which could be tricky for some guests.

We loved our stay at the Graystone. It was clean, cozy, safe, great neighborhood. The beds were so comfortable and every amenity was considered. There were snacks, coffee, ice, toiletries... you really could not ask for more. Great walking area. We will definitely stay again on our next trip to Chicago. Thanks John for a wonderful stay!

This location was amazing as we were visiting UI medical center. The property was prefect for our family. Washer and dryer were a plus and the snacks in the kitchen were a great addition for the kids.

The apartment is beautiful. Very clean. Stocked with everything you could need…soap, shampoo, towels etc; I didn’t get to meet John but my nephew did and said he’s such a gentleman. Definitely book this apartment if you are looking for a safe place to stay.

The kitchen was well stocked. The added bonus of snack jars was a welcome surprise. The Villa was clean and was well represented by the photos. Great walkable neighborhood. We met the host, John, and he couldn't have been nicer.

We stayed for a concert at United Center. It was a great experience: clean, easy check-in/out, and snacks and coffee available. The parking spot was a plus. The neighborhood felt safe- we walked to and from the United Center. We’d definitely stay there again. With four rooms, it’d be great for families or a girls trip.

The apartment was beautiful and in a lovely neighborhood. We enjoyed walking a few blocks to a breakfast restaurant in Little Italy. Our 18 month old grandson enjoyed the swings in the park a few houses away. There were plenty of towels, lots of hot water in the showers, comfy beds, a washer and dryer, etc. We had everything we needed for a delightful stay.

I like to say…location, location, location! This is the best location. Not only is it the cutest place but it also has the best amenities. It’s close to great food and shops. Walking around the place is lovely and so natural. We felt safe and cared for by this wonderful family. This space was wonderful for our family/friends for a first trip to Chicago together! We felt safe at Little Italy and it was so close to restaurants and items we might need. So great to have a place to park our car! The owner has the place decorated so nice and I loved all the special touches like travel maps and games and extra of basic needs! Everything was so clean too.

The place was very clean. Easy check in and check out process. We loved the neighborhood and all the bars near by.

This is a very well maintained property, good space and in a very safe neighborhood convenient all the transit options. The owners go above and beyond by providing plenty of amenities. Besides the minimum, my son and father were delighted to see the bowl of Hershey kisses on the coffee table and the big tub of candy. This is far and away the best VRBO I've ever stayed in. This property was great! Very clean and easy to get in and out of. The property owner/manager was very responsive to messages and made it known he would be available whenever questions arose. It was less than a 5 minute walk to Little Italy and lots of options for food and drinks, and a little under 10 minutes’ walk to the train. Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely and well-appointed unit in a great neighborhood. Several great restaurants walkable nearby and an easy trip downtown on the train. The area felt very safe. The kitchen was well stocked and the bedrooms were very comfortable. Would definitely stay again!

The third floor walk-up is on a charming quiet street 2 blocks from the pink line to the loop, 2 blocks from charming restaurants, 4 blocks from a nice corner 7/11. There is a quiet playground just a 30 second walk away. The apartment was clean (and I'm picky), welcoming, and had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The candy jar was a fun and delightful touch! Would stay there again. Safe, clean, beautiful space.Even the inlaws from the countryside loved the location. Excellent for fit folks and kids who have mastered stairs. The teens loved their rooms.

This place is fantastic! Clean, artfully decorated, and located in a lovely family oriented neighborhood (Little Italy). Exceptionally well stocked (Shout out to Lucy!), with everything you could possible need, in the Kitchen, the bathrooms, and the bedrooms. John, the owner, was so responsive to all my questions, and very welcoming and charming. So many little things that made our stay better than average (i.e. extra plugs on every dresser in the bedrooms to plug in mobile devices, and a Candy Jar stocked to the top). This building has no elevator, so climbing to the 3rd floor is a bit of haul, but absolutely worth it. I recommend this place without hesitation!

I stayed at this property with two other couples for a four day weekend. The neighborhood is relatively near UIC so it kind of has that college town vibe. Lots of good restaurants around and close the the freeway for when you have to travel further. As for the property itself, the pictures are exactly as it is in the listing. My husband felt that the pics made the place look bigger than it really was, but I do not agree with him. I was super excited about some of the small extras included: a plethora of snacks, teas, coffees, and toiletries. Most VRBO's leave you with like two rolls of TP and anything outside of that is your responsibility. Well, here there were q-tips, cotton swabs, bandaids, feminine hygiene products, as well as a couple of jars full of snacks like nuts, trail mix, ramen, oatmeal, etc. There was also a jar of candy, lots of coffee, and lots of tea. These are nice little extras that you don't often think about but they came in handy. The only suggestion I have for improvement would be to have the cleaners every now and then do a deep clean of the corners and nooks and crannies. At one point I had to reach down to grab the extension cord to plug in a charger, and up with the cord came a handful of dust bunnies, dirt and hair. This can be easily cared for with a monthly vacuum of all corners of the house. Otherwise it was an A stay and I would choose them again if I have to come back to Chigago!

Property within easy reach of most attractions. Loved the layout and 2 bathrooms ideal. Only thing was, the stairs, but once you were up those, you’re all on one level! Very nice apartment, very well thought out!

We were so impressed with this cozy 4 bedroom unit for our family of 6. It was well stocked and equipped for all our needs. The location was so close to our daughter’s graduation events, we could walk most places. Highly recommended.

This place exceeded expectations! A beautifully appointed apartment in a building with lots of historic charm. We enjoyed walking around the neighborhood and through the 2 parks that are steps away. You can easily walk to get take-out on Taylor St or pick up the train at the Polk St station. The apartment is nicely decorated with Chicago related artwork and books. As in most old buildings, the large windows make for wonderful natural lighting. Mornings sitting by the bay window with a cup of coffee were a highlight. Host was personable and accommodating. I hope we have a reason to come stay again!

Beautiful apartment for large group, meticulous cleanliness and furniture, thoughtful little details that show how much care and attention John has devoted to making his guests comfortable. The location is unbeatable, quiet, near train line, parks, and eateries. John is incredibly hospitable, friendly, and thoughtful about his guests experience. He was patient about our questions and quick with his responses. He accommodated our requests for early checkin and late checkout. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

The place was great for our trip. Close to Rush and in a really safe/quiet area, right near the Pink Line for easy access to the touristy areas. Absolutely recommend this place!

It was exactly as we hoped and as described. Everything we could want or needed was there including an extra blanket in each bedroom closet (not needed, beds and bedding were fantastic) and ground coffee in a jar. The reserved parking spot in the alley was super nice too as parking on Chicago streets is super not fun. We parked the car and Uber-ed around. The living room was super comfy with a big TV. One of us brought a Chromecast so all of us were able to stream stuff from our phones, it was perfect. The neighborhood is very nice and walkable with about a million restaurants literally 1 block south. The only mild negative I can think of is that it wasn't super clear what to do upon checkout. It is communicated to just leave the keys in the bedroom doors and go. However, it didn't feel right to just leave dishes out, hair in the showers, etc so we cleaned all that up. Made the beds, wiped down the kitchen counters, etc. It was only after we left that I was told a cleaning crew will come in and take care of all of it. Woulda been nice to know that *earlier*. Again, it's the only mild negative I can think of. We would like to stay here again every time we take a trip to Chicago, it freakin' ruled.

Clean and amenities were wonderful. Well stocked kitchen and plenty of games for kids and travel bed for baby was like new. We will choose to stay here again. Easy to walk to market and restaurants.

Best vrbo host ive ever had

Everything was easy,. Check in was a breeze. Plenty of keys to the property. Kitchen was well stocked. I especially liked that there was ground coffee to brew. Terrific stay in a lovely neighborhood.

The villa was the perfect space for our family of 4. We loved exploring the neighborhood and parking was easy to find. My daughters especially appreciated the candy jar ;)

John was great. He gave us the option for street parking and behind the building as well it was clean, a great, well spaced out enough place to give everyone space while being able to congregate when we wanted to. There is also a washer and drier, and everyone gets keys that give access to the door if they decide to go explore. We were worried about the neighborhood, but felt extremely safe.Great view overlooking the street in living room with a large TV.The only downside to the property is that if you come in through the side door, it seemed like an endless climb of stairs up with no label for which door it is, but from the front is only 2 flights with multiple doors, which helped with added security. 10/10 experience and would highly recommend John.

We had a group of couples coming to Chicago from different locations, and this was the perfect spot for us to be all together, but also have our own rooms and spaces. Everything was easy, and when we had a question on parking when we arrived later in the evening, John was very prompt in responding and helping us right away.

What a beautiful apartment...and the Christmas decorations were so lovely.

Generously stocked with linens, paper products, and snacks, which makes the trek up the two flights of stairs worth it. It's important to know the unit is on the third floor. The owner provides 4 keys, one for each bedroom, which was great when our group had divergent plans. Easy drive from property to downtown and all the areas we visited, and walking distance from an area with several eateries. Street parking, but we never had trouble finding a place to park. The place was clean and cozy, lots of throw pillows and blankets. The bedrooms are small, but all four beds were very comfortable. Everyone slept beautifully. Quiet neighborhood. Both bathrooms are shared (no ensuite bedrooms), great showers, and, as noted, stocked with all the paper products you'll need, as well as some extras (like feminine products), which is a great touch. I panicked a little when the owner didn't respond to some early questions, but he did communicate all the essentials on the week of. I'd book again if we have another family event in Chicago.

My family and I had a great stay at this property, on the third floor. It was amazingly quiet for Chicago. No sirens, quiet neighborhood, we have stayed in Chicago several times and this was new for us. We went to a concert at the United center, we ubered there and walked back after it was over. It worked out perfect for us. John, the host was a great communicator, and a gracious host. My daughter left some slippers accidentally and we realized that when we got home. John graciously mailed them back to us at no charge, even after offering to pay him shipping. The property was well appointed, and we didn't find ourselves needing anything that wasn't there. Even an umbrella for a light rain. I would confidently stay here again, and recommend it to friends needing a safe, quiet place to study in Chicago.

Stayed here while visiting Chicago to see a concert at the united center. It was a very clean and nicely stocked place. Commincationnwaa easy and simple. Four bedrooms nice and coZy!

We had great weekend with our adult kids and grandson while we were in Chicago for a family wedding. The apartment had room for all of us and was well stocked and had comfy beds. John was a gracious host and available for questions and to provide parking passes for street parking for our extra cars. It was a beautiful fall weekend in a beautiful part of town.

Cute apartment. We needed a place for 6 teens/adults with 2 bathrooms and this place fit our criteria. Small bedrooms but living area had enough room to gather for games. Close to public transportation.

We were here for our niece’s wedding and this place was perfect for us, our three adult kids and two of their partners. It was the first time in Chicago for us and the location made it easy to go to wherever we wanted. Also, the great snacks were the best bonus for all of us!

Cool location. Great character remodeled walk up. Everything was thought of. John was responsive to all questions and requests. A reunion of four old farts who were once upon a time buddies as kids. Just enough privacy and just enough shared space and near enough to everything.

The area is pretty nice, the apartment itself is fabulous. Great old city charm, well appointed, and close to attractions.

This is an amazing apartment, comfortable and exceptionally functional located in the heart of Little Italy. Amazing food, safe neighborhood and a great stay! Will visit here again!

I booked for 3 nights for myself and our 2 German exchange students. Upon arrival, we parked in the spot advertised in the listing. The key provided opened what we learned was an already occupied unit. Noticing the mess and clearly lived in apartment, we tried a different door that was to the listing. It was alarming to find that the key opened more than the vrbo. I learned from the host that I was parked not in accordance to his preference. I reparked the car and was called later by the host that I was still parked in a way that he did not prefer. I asked for instructions. This unfortunately frustrated the owner. I requested he meet me which he did after telling me that I was not smart enough to park. Upon meeting, I remained calm and requested his assistance. He became increasingly frustrated with this request as evidenced by him threatening twice to kick me out. The escalation seemingly came out of nowhere. Our German exchange student shared that he was frightened by the man. I called vrbo for assistance with the parking as well as to explain that the host threatened to kick us out. Vrbo employee said that it wasn't safe for us to stay as the host lived in an adjacent apartment and offered a full refund. Going on the recommendation of the vrbo employee, we left and had to find alternative accommodations at 10pm. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this rental.

The property owner was prompt with communication. Check in and out were a breeze. A extremely comfortable stay. Nice amenities. There are 4 bedrooms and two bathrooms. It is on a very quiet street and very close to CTA pink line. You don’t want to book your stay anywhere else in Chicago without first trying The Villa in Little Italy. Thank you, thank you!

The property is a fully equipped home, has everything you need and makes life simple while you are there. The owner is also right next door and very responsive, friendly and helpful. Taylor street is a very short walk away, the pink line is a short walk away, great location, very quiet.
