3797 Pine Place ~ Large Downtown Flat

The location was superb — an easy walk to everything. Street parking was pretty easy when the spots available to this property were full. The apartment was also very clean and more spacious than we expected.

Parking was not as much of an issue as i anticipated. There is a parking lot near by and always found a spot. This apartment and location was perfect for our girls trip. Just the right size.

Apartment was just what we wanted. Water pressure was not ideal. Very weak and the shower was not much more than a dribble.

There was an undisclosed, unsecured stairwell (blocked with a saloon style, bolted half door) in this property’s “private” bedroom. The fact that none of the reviews mention this is very surprising to me. The property is not safe for small pets or small kids unless you block the stairwell, which I did but was not comfortable with the situation at all. It was super creepy. I reached out to the management company, who at first responded to say they were working on a solution and then ghosted me for the remainder of my stay. Lastly, the bedding and towels were clean and nice, but nothing else was. The couch and chairs were stained and dishes were put away with crusted food.

Giving a fair rating. We loved this flat and were looking forward to our stay within walking distance of downtown Carmel. Unfortunately we were there during a power outage and had to cut our stay short. The management team were extremely pro active with checking in with us and making sure we had everything we needed. Also generous with refunding the rest of our stay when we had to leave. Looking forward to returning to this property. Can’t say enough good things about how we were treated in spite of unusual circumstances.

Place was as listed and very clean. We had plenty of room with 4 of us. We LOVED the location right off the Main Street in town. Parking wasn’t too bad, never had to park farther than a block or two but it wasn’t summer travel season. Would stay again!

Situated in the midst of Carmel we had so much fun walking everywhere, coffee , lunch, shopping, beach and fabulous dinners in the evening. Our flat was light, spacious and very well equipped for all our desires. I could not recommend a more lovely getaway.

...there's no dedicated parking. The accommodations are gorgeous -- clean, quiet, roomy, and filled with natural light from all the windows and skylights. Comfortable bed, well-equipped kitchen, nice bathroom with plenty of towels. However, being a couple of golden-agers with various mobility issues, we would have to think long and hard about staying again in a place with limited parking. Having to schlep the luggage back and forth an unknown distance when arriving and departing is not something I want to face. Not the owner's fault, of course, just a fact of life in Carmel-by-the-Sea.
