If you are looking for a cute little place right in the middle of all the shops of Carmel by the Sea, this is your place!!!

Beautiful place to stay, difficult to communicate with regarding early check in but was able to drop off bags at main office while waiting for place to be ready.

Clean, fireplace was a nice touch, parking was a little tricky!

What a great place to stay! So conveniently located right in the middle of the downtown area. Parking was tricky. we had to park at the beach then move the car closer after businesses closed but it was a really nice walk. the house was clean and very comfortable. would love to stay here again.

We knew parking was going to be different, but we were able to find a parking to unload our things close by. After this, we found a parking with no parking restrictions in front of the Normandy Inn. We wanted to be in the middle of it and we were. You have to go through a hall of tables and chairs to get to the back and up to the rental. It's above a Tea house and next to a few restaurants. You will hear some chatter of people and dishes of your neighbors. Everyone in our group was fine with this. In the afternoon, after walking down to the beautiful beach access we returned and had so many restaurant choices. The only issue we had in the afternoons when trying to connect online, the Wii fi kept dropping the connection. When we felt the Wi-Fi device, it was really hot to the touch--may need to get replaced soon to help the connection. For people not needing connections everything was very pleasant. We enjoyed the cheese spread and wine that was provided for us. We hope to return again. Communication was a text away. I didn't ask and did not see stated somewhere, but at the end, we were not sure what outside trash was for the property. Overall, we had a great stay!

Great location, very quaint and comfortable. Loved it!

Excellent location! Property was clean and well stocked! It is a loft style apartment so the bedrooms walls do not go up to the ceiling. It was super cold outside and rainy when we were here and was very difficult to warm the apartment as there were only a few small wall heaters. The fireplace came in very handy but did not warm the apartment much. No heater in the bathroom.Overall I would return but maybe in the spring or summertime! You cannot get a better location!

The person I spoke with was very kind and helpful, but she was unable to get their maintenance person out until the next day. She apologized profusely and understood our predicament. We were unable to shower after a long day in airports and hours driving in a car to reach our destination, and to me, that was unacceptable. The property was great otherwise.

The Madden Suite was immaculate! Great location; however sounds from the restaurant behind the bedroom by the bath are very loud. But, all quiet by 10:15, so it was fine by us. Host left us some cheese, a bottle of wine and crackers! So nice! The walls are open at the top, but for our family group, this was fine. Couldn't really hear others when doors closed. Really cozy, clean comfy furniture, relaxing atmoaphere. Highly recommend!

The Madden Suite was great for a quick stay in Carmel. The flat was clean, comfortable and well appointed. Dog friendly, walkable to all of Carmel and the beach from its central location.

Exactly as listed and would absolutely book again. Incredible location within walking distance of everything. Very charming and cozy. I’d recommend to bring your own pillows and if staying during warmer months, a few fans.

Itself it is cozy with a fireplace for the cool nights of Carmel. It is located on a quieter street and generally very easy to sleep. Though those with kids or sensitive dogs should be warned that it is above a restaurant where there is always some activity and minimal noise that could awake more sensitive guests. Overall, an amazing stay and would 100% stay again.

Upon arrival, we followed the instructions to remove our shoes, but the floors had quite a bit of debris. The carpet in the living room looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed in a while—it had visible dust and hair. We also noticed sand in the closet, likely from the beach chairs, and when we went to clean it up, we couldn't find the vacuum that was supposed to be there.Later that evening, I ended up with a large splinter in my foot, which was surprising given that the floors are laminate. Thankfully, we found the first aid kit—thank you for having that available.The kitchenette also posed some challenges. While we love dining out in Carmel, part of the appeal of renting a home is the ability to cook and eat in. The sink was extremely small—just barely enough to wash a plate—and with the drying rack originally located under the sink, we moved it to the counter, which left us with little space and a wet mess to manage.There was also no Wi-Fi, which was a problem since this was partially a work trip. A hotspot was delivered, which was appreciated, but the connection was unreliable, making it difficult to get work done.Overall, while the home was incredibly charming and the location excellent, the lack of cleanliness and a few inconveniences made the stay less comfortable than expected—especially considering the price. We would consider returning, but only if the cleanliness and functionality issues are addressed more thoroughly.

The location can't be beat! The apartment is as advertisted. The main issue we had was that the internet didn't work the entire 4 day stay. That meant that none of the TVs worked either. The mgmt team did their best to accomodate (hotspot - also didn't work) and gave us a partial refund, but for the price per night, the bare minimum expecation is that all amenities work as expected.

The location is hard to beat for a weekend in Carmel by the Sea. So close to everything.Super cute little place and wonderful hosts.

you enjoyed our stay in the property. it was comfortable and well stocked with towels and spacious inside. The location is fantastic and walkable to all of Carmel and the beach. our check-in process was a little bumpy as the door code did not work and we had to call the property manager, but we got a working code and access over the phone. there was some nice welcome wine and snacks, but the wine was open and half gone when we checked in which was a little disappointing.

Great place for a small family vacation in Carmel. Nice apartment in the core walkable area. We stayed here last spring and enjoyed it so much that we came back this year. It wouldn't work for anyone with mobility issues, but very charming if you're OK with a flight of stairs.

Great location. You can walk to everything from the Madden House. Staff at Tori Sushi the neighbor of Madden House were super friendly and accommodating. Beach is a close 10 minute walk. Would definitely stay here again.

We were delighted with the location of where the place was - convenient to everything in/around the town of Carmel. The place was immaculate and had more than enough amenities for our stay. We utilized the fireplace almost every day which was a treat. We felt the place could've used a ceiling fan to circulate the air better. Condensation fell from the solar panels because of it, but it wasn't a disaster. We would truly stay here again if we ever came back. The neighbors at Torro Sushi were amazing too. Thanks for making us Alabamians feel very welcome.

This is such a great find! Super cozy, and close to the main downtown area. Parking was easy to find, and the host was super responsive and co-operative. We had a dog with us who loved cozing up near the fire place :) Would definitely stay again!
