It is located in a Gaeltacht area which means that the locals speak the Irish language but don’t worry they also speak English. A great place for walking or for a quiet relaxed holiday the area has changed little in the last number of years and retains the charm that rural Ireland was once famous for.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Kingfisher cottage is is a cosy, well-furnished, comfortable cottage which is very conveniently located a short drive from both the mountains and the sea. It is private, clean, well-equipped and has a good bed and an efficient wood-burning stove. Perfect bolt hole.

Stayed Jun 9, 2022The cottage at Cashel is the perfect base for fly fishing in and around Connemara. It is atmospheric, comfortable and has welcoming neighbours. It was a joy to come “home” every day after fishing Ballynahinch and Lough Inagh.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This cottage is excellent for getting some peace and quiet and to relax your mind. The surrounding landscape is beautiful. The cottage had everything we needed and was decorated in a very pleasant way. There are lots of great walks and drives within an hour's drive away. We certainly enjoyed our stay there and will be very happy to return some day.
