Stayed Sep 10, 2025The Baker Suite is a large apartment located above a unique chocolate shoppe/bakery/boutique in quaint Bellevue IA. We entered Field of Chocolate Dreams and was warmly greeted by our host Chris and her friendly staff, Naomi,Trinity and Tessa. While viewing the shops offerings we were given complimentary chocolates that are made on site. Absolutely delicious! We rode an old time elevator to access our apartment upstairs. So unique! It was also very welcome. We didn't pack light and the elevator eliminated multiple trips up a narrow stairway.The apartment is a beautifully furnished with 3 br and 2 ba with modern kitchen and large dining room. A fun little hot tub is located on the back porch off the rear bedroom. There is a walk out balcony in the living room that offers a beautiful view of the the town and Mississippi river.During our stay we visited Maquoketa Caves State Park and Dubuque's Millwork District. Highly recommend! Bellevue is a quaint, clean and safe little town that appears to be undergoing a wonderful transformation. A number of buildings are under renovation and I look forward to a return visit to discover what Bellevue IA has to offer.Also noteworthy, our host is also owner of Mont Rest. This beautiful bed and breakfast is the crown jewel of Bellevue and is located just a few blocks from The Baker Suite. Visit Bellevue. It does not dissapoint!

Stayed Jul 12, 2024Wonderful stay for our family, ages 14-50+. Perfect for larger families - the layout creates space between bedrooms, but also big common areas for shared time. Gorgeous view of the lake from the deck and living room. Located right over a chocolate shop for delicious treats, and you can walk to multiple spots for coffee, meals, brewery or eagle/pelican watching. Also really appreciated the owner's prompt and friendly communication - she's all heart and obviously loves the area.

Stayed May 10, 2024We stayed at this property with family and everything was fine. The property seemed well furnished and the 3 couples all shared the 2 communal bathrooms without issues. Communication with Naomi was great.
