Stayed Mar 16, 2024The condo was clean and well prepared when we arrived. Our stay was very pleasant and we greatly enjoyed the rooftop areas - both the communal pool and the private area. Some interruptions to water while we were there - obviously out of the control of the management company. They did a great job of keeping us informed and we were able to work around the outages easily. The only suggestion that we might make to enhance our stay would be a floor lamp or two near the couch to help readers - there's no light on that side of the room and it's a little dark at night. Already looking to see if we can make our dates in 2025 work so that we might be able to stay here again.

Stayed Jan 30, 2023What's not to like? It's a penthouse condo with a private rooftop sundeck, direct access to the building's clean pool and new furniture on the pool deck. The suite has a well equipped kitchen with new pots, pans, dishes and small appliances. There are 2 BRs with ensuite bathrooms, a guest washroom, 2 balconies and a washer + dryer in the suite. The building has 24 hour security. It is on a quiet street, yet close to both the beach and 5th Avenue. The decor was comfortable and functional. It wasn't posh, but that was reflected in the affordable rental rate compared to other penthouse condos. After years of renters, naturally some of the furniture and fixtures are showing a bit of wear and tear. Master BR is roomy and has an XL bed with comfortable mattress. The ensuite has a tub/shower and good water pressure. The BR with 2 beds is crowded for space, but has lots of drawers + shelves. The mattresses seem fairly new and firm. That ensuite has a large shower with adequate (but not strong) water spray. It may need a better showerhead. Whatever brief or minor maintenance concerns there were during my stay (lightbulbs burned out, batteries for the safe, squeaky ceiling fan etc), they were all resolved promptly because I reported them at the time (not just later in a review). The owner, management and staff were always keen to make things right ASAP. And this is Mexico, so occasionally stuff happens with a maintenance or utility issue in an older street or building. During my stay, there was one partial electrical outage affecting the building, but it was resolved in less than 24 hours. Inside the suite, that outage only affected some (not all) lights and plug-ins, but not the AC, water heater or fridge, so it wasn't a hardship. At another time, due to a plumbing leak in the building, there were intermittent water outages on two consecutive days... so, of my 28 days in the building, I was mildly inconvenienced on 3 days. Since electricity is expensive in MX, friends and I only used AC in the evening/overnight and thus avoided extra charges. NOTE: No elevator (legs get a good workout). No screens on windows/ patio doors in the suite. Occasional construction noise in the area on weekdays during daylight only, so it wasn't bad. The neighborhood has mostly modern buildings, but one dilapidated house (one occupant) and a fully fenced area with a family dwelling and dogs. These represented poverty or social issues and not any threat or risk to me.

Stayed Mar 23, 2022The pictures are not what it looks like inside. The beds are hard. TVs are tiny. The hot tub was very dirty. The sink upstairs had a hole in it and couldnt hold water. The pool was dirty as well. The water went out in the condo almost every day. That was probably the hardest thing was not having water. The kitchen had an adequate amount of tools to cook. The location was close to the Beach and 5th st. There were a lot of abandoned buildings around with homeless staying in them.
