Stayed Dec 31, 1969I had an enjoyable and comfortable stay at Apartment Egon Schiele. The apartment was well-equipped for my stay of six weeks. You can pick up the keys in a mini safe located on the outside of the building, so it's convenient for arriving anytime after 2pm. The Lugner City shopping center is just a short walk away -- the mall has 2 grocery stores (Merkur, Billa), a drugstore (dm drogeriemarkt), and Müller (can buy everything from small kitchen items to personal care products here). There is also a Spar grocery store close by. Transport is convenient -- bus 48A stops close to the apartment door, and it takes less than 10 minutes to reach the inner 1st District with this bus. You can also easily travel in the other direction to visit Otto Wagner's Kirche am Steinhof or go for walks/hikes in the nature areas on the western edge of Vienna. There is also a metro stop and a couple of trams in front of the Lugner City shopping center (Burggasse/Stadthalle - U6 line). The apartment is close to the Neubau district, which is full of trendy and hip bars, cafés, restaurants, and shopping. The design of the apartment is modern and bright, with lots of character. The stone around the windows is a particularly nice touch. The kitchen has plenty of cutlery, glasses, cups, and dishes, and the appliances are very nice. You don't hear a lot of noise from the street, and the bedroom is located away from the front of the building. Overall, the apartment provided for a very relaxing stay.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This small, cleverly designed apartment is in a great location in Vienna. We were impressed by the amount of storage space for our clothes and by the quality of the cookware. The induction stove was a first for us; we might just have to purchase one when we get back to the US! Although we did not take advantage of the fully stocked beverages (at a small but reasonable charge), it was a very nice touch. The apartment location was very close to transportation and we took advantage of both the U-bahn and bus (bus was closer but U-bahn gave us more flexibility). One surprise was the huge Lugner shopping mall with everything we could possibly need. We even participated in an Oktoberfest celebration during our first week with reasonable meals and delicious beer. Above all, we discovered the artist, Egon Schiele. Had no clue who he was (our professions: finance and medicine) but impressed by the posters in the apartment which led us to explore areas we had little knowledge about (the Secession movement). The only, minor downside of the apartment was the shower. We've had plenty of experience with various size bathrooms so the size wasn't an issue. It just seemed the drainage was cumbersome and had to be played with (shutting the water off once we rinsed, then soaped up and turned on the water again). But, that was really a minor annoyance compared to the delightful apartment. We would definitely stay here again if we are fortunate enough to visit beautiful Vienna!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969My wife and I had a great stay in this apartment, it has everything you need for a comfortable experience. The location was perfect in a quiet neighborhood, and it's just steps from a main bus line that enables you to get pretty much anywhere quickly and easily. The owner was also very friendly and provided lots of helpful tips for us during our stay.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This rental has been most inapropriate beginning with the location: the apartment is back to back with a recycling shop of sorts which begins its daily schedule at 7:00. The entrance to the apartment is shared with this shop who uses it as a reception entrance. Stairs leading to the appartment are filthy. In addition, it is located next to what seems to be a hospital for handicaped patients and the main artery next to Egon Schiele is regularly traveled by police and ambulances, day and night, hardly the quiet area we were expecting. The proprietor indicated that this was next to a trendy area...The photos of the apartment appearing on the rental offer are misleading: hygiene and kitchen pluming are questionable at best: Xsmall bedroom without any window, shower curtain too small causing water spillage in the bathroom. Finally, and not least, the proprietor of the apartment refused to reimburse the damage deposit, foregoing an inspection prior to our departure. Our appreciation for this rental is totally negative and we would not recommend it.
