Yes! Beautiful beach, private less than five minutes away one of our favorite vacations very relaxing paradise

This was my 3rd stay at John's place. I so appreciate this rental and John is a great host - very welcoming to me and my little dog. I walked to several nearby restaurants (Bubble Room, Green Flash, RCOtters) and to McCarthy's Marina to catch 2 cruises during my stay - and to the Captiva farmers market. I had a great week. It is so good to see Captiva rebuilding and to be able to support the businesses there who have fought so successfully to reopen. I wasn't ready to leave and can't wait to return next Spring!

The apartment was lovely and quaint, everything we needed! The beach walk is more like 3 minutes not 10 minutes :)

Everything was as advertised. John is an excellent host. We really enjoyed our time in Captiva Island. Apartment was clean and beach was indeed steps away. Restaurants near by within walking distance. Don't forget your bug spray!!! Lots of bugs on the island at sunrise and sunset. Beautiful islands. Great vacation place.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Chapin House in Captiva, and I cannot recommend it highly enough! The host ( John ) was incredibly welcoming and responsive, making our check-in process seamless and our stay exceptionally comfortable. The cozy two-bedroom apartment was perfect for our family, with plenty of space and all the necessary amenities. The price was very affordable, especially considering its prime location—just less than a block from the beach. Each day, we enjoyed being so close to the beautiful shoreline without breaking the bank.Our experience was nothing short of wonderful, and I’m already looking forward to planning our next vacation here. If you're seeking a charming getaway with a fantastic host, Chapin House is definitely the place to stay!

We had a wonderful time in Captiva. The rental had everything you would need. The location was near the beach and local restaurants. We will be back!

This was my second time at this property with my dog and I am so glad to have it available again after the storms. This place is perfect for me. I love being able to walk to nearby marinas, restaurants, stores, and of course the beach. John is a great host. I will be back!

Everything was great. I never saw or spoke with the host. Location was great but a very small space to park. A better description of what was included with the rental. For instance paper supplies. We bought everything and got there and had everything already furnished so we left all we bought.

It was a very nice and reasonably priced place to stay for beach access and restaurants.

The apartment is perfect for a short beach stay. It was very clean and well kept and just a short walk to the beach. The mattress was very firm, but we seemed to have adjusted and slept well. John was a wonderful host.

Thanks to John for sharing his Captiva home with guests. It is so hard to find a place where you can bring your dog along, and that helps to make this rental very special. Everything about this place is as advertised and pictured. The beach is a very short walk away and it is easy to imagine that you live here after a few days. Walkability is great - love the location. We were so very happy with this clean, quiet place. Couldn’t ask for a better location, everything on Captiva within walking distance. So much wildlife so close, and the beach was so peaceful and pristine. Thanks for such a great stay!

I can’t say enough about the location of this property! It is very close to the beach and very close to town as well as The Green Flash and Jensens‘s if you plan on doing any fishing charters. John, the owner, is super nice and made us feel welcome. I will definitely be going back!

Lovely and peaceful place

Apartment was clean and well supplied with necessary items. Beds were hard and a bit high to get into. The online description stated steps to beach but it was further than just steps. The beach was nice but had an invasion of bugs that bit ferociously! The space I had to park my car was too narrow and too close to shrubs that made it difficult to get in and out of car.

Great location for a fair price! The home was clean, comfortable and looks just like it does in the pictures. It is located on a quiet street that is close to just about everything on Captiva Island. The owner was quick to respond to any questions. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning!

This apartment was so close to the beach! I especially enjoyed the electric reclining sofa! I would definitely stay here again!

Excellent location- walk to everything less than 10 minutes. Beach only a couple of minutes- as close as you can get without being beachfront. Very quiet! No complaints- would book again.

Futher to the beach then we thought.Shower floor very slippery. Furniture very comfortable, Interesting set up. Beds were very very hard but that’s okay for many oeople,so not complaining, couch was very comfortable to sleep on. Beautiful neighborhood,and owner very nice also.
